Alex turned, heading the arrow hitting and the deer running away in panic. When he turned back, the boy wasn't there any more. realizing that the deer was getting away. He shook his head and took after the deer, as he tried to understand what the boy had told him.
He hadn’t been running for long, when another arrow flew in and hit the other side from where Alex's own arrow was. Turning around he spotted the archer, a young looking elven man in partial shadow with another arrow nocked. To not provoke the man, Alex raised his hands and took a good look at the man.
Dressed in soft pants and a cape both made of linen, so that he showed most of his upper body which was made of various patterned tattoos. With all that plus the man's light green skin it was obvious that he was from the primeval forest of Koterii. Although Alex didn't understand why he had two bows with him. After a moment of silence between the two, the Koteèrier spoke as he walked towards Alex, "I'm pretty sure I taught you better than to just throw your bow to the ground, only to then run after a deer without it."

As the man left the shadows to Alex's surprise he realized that he knew him and asked; "Cian, what are you doing here".
"I overheard a conversation about you and your uncle on the road, so I followed the group of men to this forest," Cian explained, however as he continued he frowned, "then I saw a golden deer which lead me to you"
"Why did you follow a deer?" Alex asked, but before Cian he could answer. What he had said at first, sunk in and Alex couldn't help but to exclaim, "wait, what, but!? What happened to them!? where did they go!?"
"Oh, I think it was that way..."
Realizing that Cian had pointed to the way where his and his uncle had set up camp. Pretty sure he had no other choice, he began to run and shouted behind him asking his friend for help. Just a few seconds later he heard the reassuring sound from his right side indicating that his friend was running with him. But when he heard a set of lighter footsteps on his left side, he couldn't help but look in that direction and saw to his surprise that the weird boy was running alongside him. With a glance to Cian to see if he could see the boy, which he obviously couldn't. Alex looked back and the boy was no longer there, as if he had once again vanished into thin air.
