"What?" Gin said with eyes beginning to sharpen on the men. His scowl growing more unpleasant by the moment.
1 of the men could sense where the atmosphere was heading and quickly spoke up, "My name is Sam and this is Bob. Please excuse the rudeness but we are looking for a stolen relic. The thief ran through here I believe, she had yellow eyes and was wearing a bright white robe with blue flowers." As he said this he was scratching the back of his head and looked very solemnly to him.
Indeed relics were very expensive, they could hold techniques from the past and depending on the rank, some might be considered priceless. One needed to only push their energy inside the relic to discover the knowledge and abilities within. They typically looked like old clay jars but had a quite intricate design on them that depended on the ability within. They break upon use; apparently this one had the design of a hawk.
One could transform themselves into a bird and mount the heights with this ability. It was at least a C tier ability and ideally could be used for scouting, making it an attractive technique.
Gin had telekinesis which was okay but not the best; But Gin was special, he could invest his energy into his techniques forcing their advance in grade.
Normally Telekinesis could lift maybe a few hundred pounds at best, which was already really good; the drawback however was the focus and energy this exhausted from the user. This is why Telekinesis was rated f. Even if you had it, you had to be a Genius to make even the slightest use of it. While many dreamed of doing more with it… the world had a harsh reality.
Gin was different and very creative with how he thought, he also grasped things at an unbelievable rate. One might have a distorted reality if they thought Gin was normal.
Gin looked up as a hawk screeched from the sky with laughter and began to fly away in the distance at absurd speeds. "Was that…" his eyebrows furled as he reached up to massage the ache in his head.
Malee, I hope she doesn't bring me more problems he thought to himself. She does seem like a mischievous woman.
The two men looked shocked and almost in a daze before abruptly snapping out of it, "Thanks!" one of them said as they began to speed off in the direction of the hawk.
I am truly a frog in the well. Just meeting 3 people has shown me how weak I am.
What Gin didn't know was that those 3 people were already considered among the elites. "I am just too weak right now" he muttered under his breath while tightening his fist. I must get quicker strongly or I could die just too easily.

A figure a mile from the sight was watching everything happen. An old man in a cloak, rubbing his chin. Seemingly woken up from what looked like a comfortable nap in a cave behind him, the figure glanced at the youth. He thought this one has a lot of potential.
His super hearing allowed him to over hear everything. He chuckled when the boy called himself weak, reminiscing of a time when he too was in a similar position. "Maybe I'll see him soon?" The old man mused and then jumped into the sky and began to fly towards Moons capital city, Astra.
His energy was already over 9,000.
----
Gin began to head back to the city, while moving he trained his telekinesis by moving the pebbles around him. Easy you might think but when you realize he was building elaborate statues with them while quickly moving back to the city, you might rethink that thought.
"Welcome back to Astra!" a border guard greeted him after checking his id and confirming.
An hour or so behind the 2 men had lost sight of the hawk and were walking back to the city after expending almost all of their energy having chased the crazy girl.
"What are we going to report?" he mused to the other guy as they both had downcast expressions.
"The Jade Family is too strict, we will be punished for failure for sure" the other said while getting more upset by the moment.
The Jade Family was one of the top ten families in Astra, an honorable family but offending them would certainly ask for a beating. They were rich and powerful, they held connections everywhere in the city and were said to be one of the sponsors to the new Academy being made.
As the man thought about this he was not able to contain his frustration and so he kicked a rock in the next moment and he heard a thud past the trees just a little off the path..
"What was that?" said the first guy while shaking his head and smirking.
They walked over and discovered a line of statues!! They both gasped, shocked at what they were witnessing.
Exquisite statues all looking exactly like the terracotta soldiers. They were 5 feet tall and imposing, lining the path for miles heading the direction of the city! Every one of the statues was made with stone.
Who could have done this? They both thought simultaneously while looking at each other then glancing back to the statues.
Meanwhile back in the city…

[Telekinesis rank C]
Gin had certainly trained hard, but now he was insanely hungry. His stomach growls could almost be heard down the street. One might think he had not eaten for a week.
"I'd like a cup of ramen" asking with an impoverished expression, Gin glancing at the boiling noodles, saliva practically dripping off his lips.
"That will be 20 credits." The cook said while manning his kitchen on an upright cart. A fat robust cook with a beard and a big grin.
"ugh, here you go.." Gin reluctantly handed over the money, it was just too hard to let go of credits for him.
The ramen was a spicy shrimp flavor with an egg on top fried in turmeric seasoning. It was amazing to say the least.
After finishing his meal, Gin headed for the gym and after working out went home and took a shower.
10 minutes later Gin was sitting in front of his computer browsing the market when a message from Little Fan popped up!
"Hey Gin, sorry for not being able to find any more information on what you were searching for…. but I did find another valuable prospect. How do you feel about...The Lightning Translation technique? 700 credits… if you want the details on where to find the beast holding it!" the message read.
Gins grin went from ear to ear.
