Chapter 7: Legendary Inventory Ring

Chapter 7: Legendary Inventory Ring

The dungeon door opened and a skeleton fell out and broke into pieces. Luckily, it was the skeleton of an incinerated spider. A massive burst of blue flames shot out beacons of light incinerating all the spiders and dropping their poison sacks on the cobblestone pathway.

The correct pathway has been ascertained…

“What is dungeon experience?”

“It gets tallied up at the end.” Priscilla excitedly replied. “Haha, pick these up with me and put them in your inventory ring.”

“What’s an inventory ring?” She tossed him a golden ring, and he glanced at it. “Wait, don’t tell me! Isn’t this a legendary item, an inventory ring! Omg, I can’t wear this! I’ll get robbed instantly back on the beach!:

“Shut up… The Octet family gives Allen anything he wants… That’s just the tip of the iceberg. And you mind? I have to bend over to pick up the pision sacks. No staring…” Marty rolled his eyes. She was cute, but really curt. He was oozing resentment.

He ignored her and picked up a poison sack…

His eyes glanced around, noticing the skeletons piled up in the corner. Had the spiders killed dozens? “Hey… what’s with all the boides. Are these fake?”

“Probably people from the distant lands… I heard the dungeon can open even on the mainland. There, the spiders can pick up regular people and eat them, devouring their intestines and all.”

This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it.

“Very funny,” Marty leaned down and scooped a golden ring off a bone finger. “Ugh, well… this looks valuable. Anyways, what’s next?”

“Next, we go further in the dungeon.” She ambled into the darkness. “But good start, noob. He told me you’d be a good solver. Now follow me, and be careful! We have to kill at least 20 spiders to get to the boss.”

Further in the dungeon,

Marty’s eyes flashed, and a fire ignited from his palm, turning into a flame that smashed into a spider’s sternum. It shot back, crashing into the rock wall before it ignited into flames.

“Wow… you get experience in here so fast. I just leveled up in a day what took my mother a year.

“It’s because this is an incubation zone that the sun god and water god created together. Apparently, they used to be a couple. This is where they went on dates, and made children.” Priscilla winked. “Hehe, and good job! Just 5 kills remaining.”

In the few minutes remaining, they easily killed the 5 remaining spiders. They beared thier fangs, but Dragorna actually had grown quite strong since eating the orbs. He now had a long distance skill, sort of like a sniper in an rpg. Now all he needed was an AOE skill and he’d been considered a high level aquatic beast! But who was he kidding. It be insane if an octopus class could learn something so powerful.

“This is where we get to the incubation chamber. The sun gods children will be there. Just a warning… they are humanoid. It won’t be easy to kill them.”

“What about us? Aren’t you afraid they’ll kill us.”

“No, they won’t stand a chance against someone as pretty as me,” Priscilla giggled and stared at him provocataively. “Haha, and are you underestimating Allen. You think he made me here without some sort of hidden card up my sleeve?”

“The only thing you have up your sleeves is bad jokes.” Marty nervously walked towards the golden doorway in the distance. “You are we are going to be okay?”

“Yes, or we die and the sun gods children get a pathway to our land… I heard the last time that happened, 300 people died before the royal knights arrived. But… that’s top secret.”

“And you would know?” Marty stopped in front of the doorway and glanced up. A picture of a large dragon could be seen engraved on the golden doorway. “You know so much… I thought you got here a few days ago.”

“And… I pay attention… But now we need to focus. Remember, don’t stare at me, and kill any beasts you see instantly. Don’t hesitate, okay?”

Marty nodded.

She touched her hand to the door and it shinned brightly, the dragon’s eyes igniting.

You have ignited the pact of the sun and water god… the pact in the dungeon has been broken.
