It seemed like an endless field of harvest plants. Marty rushed after Priscilla as he heard the gatling gun from his ride begin to spin and shoot at something in the distance. He looked up in the sky, rushing after Priscilla as his heart raced. He could smell something horrible that they approached closer to with every step. To his right, he glanced while he jumped over some rocks and noticed a large blue barrier of fire erecting over the field. Was this being hidden from the general public? A royal knight surfed along a tide of water in the sky and shot an arrow from a bow while it ride along the island’s current. How the hell had he never been aware of this place?
“We’re almost there! Look at the card.”
“What is it?” He flipped it over. It beeped and a map appeared on the card. ‘Dungeon activation pivotal mass has been reached’. Warning! Critical Mass is in unstable state. Two minutes to dungeon entrance is untenable. Mass is measured as state rank F. Lowest class dungeon. “I don’t understand what’s on this card! Is it a map?”
“Just shut up and follow me!” Priscilla looked back at him. Her black curly hair blowing in the wind and hiding her purple eyes. She sprinted at her top speed, her acceleration nearly impossible for Marty to keep up with. “Ugh, come on! Put magic into your feet!”
“Magic? I can’t do that!” She disappeared into the bushes, and Marty had no choice but to stop and catch his breath. He looked up. A massive beast at least twenty feet tall, full of rocks, fire, and eyes the size of boulders stared at him. He fell back, the sharpness of the ground stabbing into his palms. “Ah, what the hell is that!”
“Haha, I found one!”
“Get him!” A team of royal knights flickeerd off the current in the sky and danced with their blades against the rock giant’s skin. It fell back in agony, but Marty couldn’t stop shaking. He had to get up. He pushed himself off the floor and felt Dragorna wrap around his skin. Suddenly, he felt a new type of magic flowing into hsi body. His muscles felt stronger. At this time, he knew something was changing about him. His legs felt stronger, and he once again had the strength to run. Which he did. He pushed with his maximum strength. Soon, he caught up to Priscilla.
You have learned the new technique, Dragonrna’s Rush
Uoour magic has gotten stronger. You’ve been promoted to Beginner’sRank III
Wow, that’s wonderful. Marty suddenly remembered he’d been stuck at Beginner’s rank II for almost two years. He hadn’t learned a new technique from Dragorna since he learned to create a shield years ago. And this was all in a day. People that lived around him barely got past beginner rank II and his mother had only made it up to the sixth stage with her jellyfish. This was in contrast to the rich who sometimes made it to the advanced stages. From the beginner ranks, which went up to Beginners VI, you could be promoted to the Normal Rank and then the advanced stages. But only with money. And here he was, doing the impossible. Participating on a battlefield with royal knights.

“Did you just get faster? We’re almost there.” Priscilla connected her palms and a glint flashed in her eye. A beam of lightning shot out from the eels eyes resting on her arm. It couldn’t be dodged by him, nor the floating lizard that tried to attack them. It fell onto the ground, it’s skin fried.
And behind it, none other than a massive gate appeared.
It looked like a doorway, attached to nothing but air, floating in the sky. And yet, it seemed to have some sort of will. It opened when Priscialla approached it, sucking part of her in as she turned around. For a second, he could barely see her eyes for the light from the doorway got so bright.
“Come in after me quickly! We have to hurry!”
“I’m not going in there!” Marty looked down in the card. “What’s in there!”
“A dungeon, but one only young people like us can enter. Come on you idiot! Hurry up or that giant’s going to crush you!”
“HAHAHAHA< I found him again!”
Marty turned around. His skun immediately crawled. Instinctiaully, he jumped back and slid away from the massive fist slashing ni the air towards him. Rocks scattered everywhere. Darkness took over the light. And without any choice, he jumped backwards… Into the gate of mystery he knew nothing about. His was certain he almost died. His body felt sticky and his mind in a haze.
“What the hell was that thing! A high level sun beast?!”
“Yes, it’s trying to stop us from coming in here, but we’re here now… Only their young can enter as well.” Priscilla snapped her fingers, and a ball of fire danced in the air around her. “This is a dungeon. Look around for another room…”
They had entered into a completely dark place.
Even with the fire from her eel, it was difficult to see more than a few feet in front of him. “I’m confused…” Marty started to look around the room. He found a few levers here and there but nothing that led to an exit. Luckily, his eyes started to adjust, and he could see a statue of a sitting golem in front of them. “How can we be in a dungeon? I thought those only existed in the lore of the sungod… The places where the sun god raised his young, in order to once again claim the world…”
“This is one of those dungeons. And we are here to fight their young. Didn’t you figure it out earlier, dummy? Or did you get distracted by my good looks?”
“You are pretty, but I would never date anyone like you.”
“Oh yeah?” She rolled he eyes. “Why, because I’m not some little princess?” She pouted. “Screw you then. Anyways, I found something pretty cool. Check this out.”
She knocked on a box. A second later, it opened, and a small treasure rolled on the ground… Dragorna’s body instantly started to glow, and it jumped off his head.
“Wait, no way! Is that another palatial orb?! That thing is worth a fortune. Dragorna, don’t eat it!”
“Relax… this dungeon has a lot more treasures than that… Let them eat…” She patted her eel and it slithered off her body, going towards another orb rolling against the floor. “We have one puzzle to solve before we can get out of here. You mind helping me figure this out?” She pointed at the levers… “Otherwise, we’ll never get inside.”
“And I forgot to tell you something…” Priscilla grabbed his hand. “You mind if I tell you a really big secret? Cross your heart hope to die?”
