In a world where everyone is not born equal. Even the strong have to ern their place at the table. U.A.’s hero course was a prime example of this. As only one of every three hundred hero course applicants where excepted. So those who made it in where the best of the best. However just because they made it in does not always mean they belonged.
Izuku ran through the halls of U.A. mumbling 1-A over and over under his breath. As he tried to find his new classroom. “Man, this thing is huge. Are their giants in this class or something?” He wondered aloud. “Well, whatever I just hope they are friendly.” As he said that a shiver ran down his spine. As a mental image of Bakugo and the blue haired boy from the exam popped into his head. “Oh, please let them be in another class.” He sighed before walking in. More than a little surprised how easy it was to open such a large door.
“Get your feet off that desk now!” The very same blue haired boy from the entrance exam. Shouted at Bakugo of all people. “Do you have no respect for school property.” The blue haired boy chastised.
“Ha your joking, right? Did your old school put a stick up your ass? Or where you just born like that?” Bakugo said shocking the blue haired boy.
Who recovered quickly before taking a calming breath and saying. “Look let’s start over I’m Tenya Ida from Soumei private academy.”
Only to be interrupted by Bakugo. “Oh, so you’re from Soumei huh? Your one of those elitist blue blood bastards. So, you must think that you are better than me because of that don’t you?” Izuku recognized that tone. It was the tone Bakugo used when he, in his own words put someone in their place. “Because if so. I’m going to enjoy tearing you a new one as I put you in your place you damn extra.” Bakugo said with a literally villainous expression.
“What! Are you threatening me? Are you sure you’re in the right place?” That response seemed to just annoy Bakugo. Who proceeded to sulk like a disappointed child. However, before ether of them could say anything else. Ida finally noticed Izuku.
“It’s him.” Ida said getting the attention of the hole class.
“I um hi.” Izuku said nervously.
“I’m Tenya Ida from.” Ida started to say before Izuku interrupted him with. “I I know I heard you the first time. I’m Izuku Midoriya it’s nice to meet you.”
“Midoriya, you figured out there was something more to the practical exam, didn’t you? You must be very observant. I am ashamed that I completely miss judged you. For that I must apologize.” Ida said bowing.
“Oh, hay I recognize that messy hair. You’re the boy that save me in the entrance exam. It’s no surprise you got in. That punch was insane. I mean all it took was one punch for you to bring down that huge robot that’s just amazing!” The brunette that Izuku had met in the entrance exam said cherrfully.
“I um thanks, but you saved me when I fell. So, I um thanks for that.” Izuku stammered out as he turned bright red in embarrassment. Still not used to people praising him.
Anselm rounded the corner looking for his class. Spotting the brown haired girl and green haired boy he had met in the entrance exam. “Hay you two I’m glad to see you made it in.” Anselm said cheerfully that was until Ida noticed him.
“You! Why are you dressed like that and why are you still armed!” Ida said disapprovingly.
Anselm was wearing the U.A. Uniform, but he’d swapped out the uniforms jacket with his red cloak. On his left hip was his sword and instead of a school bag he had a large suitcase. Anselm took a deep breath before turning around and pointing at the symbol on his back. “The dress code allows for exceptions for holy or religious symbols. I’m an alchemist and this is the alchemic symbol called Flamel. It represents purification or the removal of toxins depending on the context. It can also represent healing or protection.” He then turned back to Ida and drew his sword. Ida stepped back worriedly before Anselm ran his palm across the blade and showing them his palm. “It’s blunt, I need a medium to use my quirk. I have to use special shoes and gloves and a few other mediums like this sword to use it.” Anselm said in explanation. he disliked lying to others, so he did as little of it as possible. However, he had to keep his lack of a power secret and though he didn’t need to lie about his cloak to keep his secret. The cloak was a gift from his grandfather, and he hated school uniforms, so he considered it a win win.
Ida blinked in surprise before bowing. “My apologies it seems I have misjudged you as well.”
“I um ok?” Anselm said but before he could question it any further. A voice in the classroom drew the groups attention.
“Hay is this classroom 1-A?” Ben asked crouching in an open window. He spotted the four at the door recognizing them from the exam.
“Hay you guys got into U.A. to, it’s good to see you. Oh, wait this isn’t general studies, is it? I’d really like to not make an ass out of myself on the first day.” Ben said joining the group.
“I um don’t think I got your names last time sorry. I’m Ben by the way. Oh, weight you call people by their last names hear right? Well then, I’m Ben Tennyson though I’d prefer Ben. I’m from the U.S. so this is all new to me.”
“Oh, um I’m Izuku Midoriya.” Izuku said timidly.
“I’m Ochako Uraraka it’s nice to meet you.” The brown haired girl introduced herself cheerfully.
“Im Anselm Elric please call me Anselm.” The boy in the red cloak said as he introduced himself.
“I’m Tenya Ida it’s nice to me you and I’d like to apologize for my actions in the entrance exam. It seems that I was too hasty judging you all. It’s something that I will endeavor to change.” Ida said with another bow.
“If your just hear to make friends. Then you can go ahead and pack up your stuff and leave.” A man in a sleeping bag on the floor said annoyedly. Startling Izuku Anselm and Ben. Green electricity surrounded Izuku as he entered a fighting stance. Anselm drew his sword that sparked with blue electricity for a second a metallic chime ringing out. As the bladed was transmuted from dull to sharp. Ben hand shot to his watch its dial shooting up. As his hand hovered over the dial ready to slam it down and transform.
“Welcome to U.A.’s hero course. Oh, and nice reflexes but no quirk use in the classroom. Now it took you Eight seconds to shut up. That’s not going to cut it. Time is a valuable resource.” The man said getting up and out of his sleeping bag.
The man was extremely tired looking with long messy black hair. He had a long grey scarf that was piled up over his shoulders and neck to the point it covered the bottom of his face. His tired disheveled appearance made him look almost like a homeless person. The only proof to the contrary was that he and his clothes where clean.
“Hello, everyone I’m Shōta Aizawa and I’ll be your home room teacher.” The scruffy man said shocking everyone. As he walked over to his desk pulling a basket of gym uniforms out from underneath his desk. Before setting it on top of the desk. “Take one of these and get changed. The changing rooms are at the end of the hall. Once you are changed meat me at the field outside.” Aizawa said pointing to a small sports field out the window.
“Um does this mean I’m in the right place.” Ben asked as his watch deactivated with a beep.
“Yes, now do I dare ask why you came through the window?” Aizawa asked tiredly as he pulled a juice pouch out of his desk.
“Oh, the mouse guy in my acceptance letter told me to give you hell. That and I was running late.” Ben said simply as he took one of the outfits.
Aizawa just groaned in response rubbing the bridge of his nose in annoyance.
[A short time later. On the U.A. sports field.]
“Ok so we will be having a quirk assessment test.” Aizawa said as he tapped away at his phone.
“What, but what about orientation?!” Uraraka whined.
“If you want to make it as a pro you don’t have time to waste on pointless ceremony. Hear at U.A. teachers are given a lot of freedom. That means I get to run my class as I wish. Now that said. Up till now you have been taking standardized testing. So, you’ve never got to use your quirks in a physical exam. Because the higher ups still want to pretend like we are all created equal by not letting those with superior abilities excel. It’s not rational and one day the higher ups will have to learn this. Tennyson you scored the highest in the entrance exam. Even scoring five more combat points then Bakugo. Who got into U.A. on combat points alone. What was your furthest soft ball throw in junior high?” Aizawa said pulling a soft ball out of his pocket and tossing it to Ben.
“First call me Ben and I’m guessing you’re asking what my best score in middle school was. I honestly don’t know we never really did anything like this.” Ben said tossing the ball up and catching it.
“Oh, right you’re from America physical education there is geared more towards sports. Then you can just throw the ball normally to get a baseline. Then do it again using your quirk.” Aizawa said pointing Ben to the softball pitch.
After that Ben scored a baseline score of seventy eight point six meters.
“Anything goes so long as you stay in the circle.” Aizawa explained simply.
“Hmmmm ok.” Ben said dialing through the watch before slamming his hand down on the dial. Transforming into a yellow and black alien with jack hammer arms.
(Transformation name: Armodrillo. Race:Talpaedan. Abilities: Sharp claws and the ability to turn his hands into drills. Along with the ability to make shockwaves and earthquakes with his jack hammer arms.)
“Huh? Armodrillo I wanted Lode Star.” Ben said annoyed. As he heard the class gasp and whisper in shock.
“Something wrong Tennyson?” Aizawa asked noticing his outburst.
“Not really I just miss transformed just let me.” Ben started to say as he reached for the dial on his chest only to be interrupted by Aizawa.
“No just do it as is and hurry up we don’t have all day.” he said flippantly.
Armodrillo sighed and picked up the ball. He then reared back extending the hammer on his arm and threw the ball. Now with Armodrillo natural super strength he would have probably done well enough to get a decent score. Ben however wanted to show off a little. So right as he let go of the ball the hammer on his arm slammed forward. Creating a massive blast of kinetic force launching the ball 1758.3 meters.
“Holy crap that’s almost 2000 meters that’s insane.” A blond with black lightning streaked haired boy said in shock.
“Oh, that looks like it would be fun. I want to try!” A pink skinned and haired girl said happily.
“So, this looks fun to you huh? You have three years her to learn how to be a hero. Did you honestly think it be all fun and games?” Aizawa said with an ironically villainous smile before continuing. “Idiots you will compete in eight physical tests. Whoever comes in last will be judged to have no potential and expelled immediately.” The class, except Ben, freaked out.
“Like I said I get to run my class however I want. If you don’t like it, you can go ahead and leave.” As Aizawa said that Armodrillo’s hammers extended, and sparks arced between Anselm’s fingers. But before ether could even think of snapping back. Uraraka beat them to it. “That’s not fair you can’t just send us home. We just got here and even if it wasn’t the first day. We all have worked hard to get here, and you cannot just kick us out. Because of one bad test.”
“She’s right you know.” Armodrillo said starting to walk back to the group.
“I have to agree with her on this. I can think of a handful of reasons why this is a bad idea. The simplest thing that comes to mind is something as small as a bit of bad luck. You trip or you land slightly the wrong way, and you could lose your placing, and It would screw you over. Anselm said stepping forward.
“Yeah.” izuku added.
“Hah not fair huh. Do you think natural disasters or villain attacks are fair? Or that any of those things don’t affect heroes? The only difference is when a hero trips or lands wrong they usually end up injured or dead. Instead of just expelled. So, to put it simply life’s not fair. It is a hero’s job to try and combat that unfairness. So, if you want to be a pro you are going to have to push yourself to your limits. Because this is just one of the first hard ships you will face here at U.A. Plus you three especially don’t have room to talk. If I had my way none of you would have even been allowed in the door. You all have extreme draw backs that can’t be easily compensated for. Tennyson you are reliant on a stabilizer that from what you have just shown to be in its self unreliable. That’s not even counting your abilities inherent flaw. With so many varied forms it takes far more time to master each. Simply put you’re a jack of all trades but a master of none. Elric your abilities are powerful and extremely tactical but on the other hand you need a medium to even activate your power. Even someone without a quirk could take you down if they knew this and found a way to neutralize your mediums. You would literally be powerless in that situation and Midoriya. Your quirk is powerful, but you can’t handle its backlash. It puts you under extreme strain even breaking your body parts when pushed too far. You’re more likely to kill yourself with that power of yours then a villain is. Now if you want to stay you are going to have to prove me wrong. Now we have wasted enough time talking. So let the games begin.” Aizawa said ending the conversation.
As the students made their way to the first event. Ben still in his Armodrillo form bumped into Aizawa knocking him over. Ben had done this on purpose, but he kept walking pretending like he hadn’t even noticed Aizawa was there. Which wasn’t too far from the truth Ben wouldn’t have noticed the impact if he wasn’t looking for it.
“Tennyson!!!” Aizawa yield. Ben however smirked. Happy his armor hid his face in this form before saying. “Huh what is it?”
“You may not agree with my teaching methods. However, slamming into me like that will only get you is detention for the semester or expulsion. So, if I where you I would choose your next words wisely.”
“Huh what are you talking about?” Ben said pretending to be confused.
“Tennyson you just nocked Aizawa sensei over. How could you do something so disrespectful.” Ida berated Ben. Who turned to face him nocking Aizawa over again this time on accident.
“I did oh sorry about that. This form has literal tunnel vision.” As he said that he tapped his helmet with a claw. “I’m always bumping into stuff give me a sec and I’ll just change back.” Ben said as a bright green flash went off revealing Ben in his human form. “Aah That’s much better.” Ben sighed.
Aizawa glared at Ben clearly not believing him but letting it pass for now well for the most part. “Tennyson meet me in the principal’s office after class today.”
“Aww man!” Ben groaned.
Test one. Fifty meter dash.
The first race was between Ben and Ida.
(Tenya Ida. Quirk: Engine. Notes: Ida has engine like mutations in the calves of his legs. This gives him superhuman speed.)
Ben fiddled with the watch for a few seconds before transforming into to a blue raptor like, alien. “Aww yeah! got the right form this time.”
(Transformation name: XLR8. Race: Kineceleran. Abilities: Super speed. The ability to manipulate friction with the ball on its feet. Lastly, he possesses three blade like claws.)
“Another transformation? How many forms do you have?” Ida asked curiously.
“In theory I could have billions of transformations maybe more. However, in practice it’s more like fifty something, I think. I discover new ones from time to time and I haven’t counted them in a while.” Ben said simply.
This statement made Ida’s jaw drop in shock. Before exclaiming. “What that is a insanely overpowered ability!!!”
“Well, it’s not as powerful as you might think. It has a lot of drawback like week or harmful transformations. The need for a stabilizer that’s unreliable most of the time and has a limited power supply. Also, I can’t even take the thing off and there are a few other things, but it would take too long to explain them all. Let’s race now and talk later.” XLR8 said closing his face mask and skating to the starting line.
Once Ida was in place. A small camera like robot maid a sound like a starting pistol before cheerfully shouting out. “0.003 seconds. 3.04 seconds.”
“Holy crap he’s fast.” A yellow and black haired boy shouted.
“Thanks, though I couldn’t build up a lot of momentum with such a short distance. I barely hit sub sonic.”
“Sub sonic just how fast are you?” Izuku asked in shock.
“If I go all out and can run in a straight line. I’ve been able to reach mock three, but I know I can go faster but last time I tried. Well let’s just say it didn’t end well.” XLR8 said visibly cringing at the memory.
“Hurry up we don’t have all day. Next.” Aizawa ordered.
Izuku was then paired with Bakugo. Bakugo was easily able to take an early lead by firing off a powerfull explosion to launch himself into the air. However, Izuku was able to catch up and pass him with one for all.
(Katsuki Bakugo. Quirk: Explosion. Explosion causes Bakugo to sweat a nitroglycerin like substance. That he can ignite to create various forms of explosions. He can even achieve a limited form of flight by using his explosions as a form of propulsion.)
Bakugo getting a time of 4.13 seconds and Izuku getting a time of 2.53 seconds.
This angered Bakugo who hated to lose to anyone but to lose to Izuku someone he had looked down on most of his life extremely pissed him off. Izuku could not help but gulp knowing though he could now fight back, and that Bakugo would likely get expelled if not worse if he tried to beat him up again. Still Izuku couldn’t help the instinct to flinch or prepare for a beating. Izuku took a deep calming breath. Tapping into just enough of one for all to have a few small green sparks ark between his fingers. The action was starting to become a nervous tick. The jolt of raw energy and power even on such a small scale was strangely calming. It was a reminder that he had powers now. He was not helpless anymore and he had All might in his corner, and he refused to disappoint him. With that last thought he wrenched his nervousness under control. Latching on to the raw and sheer determination that had carried him through All might’s hellish training. As Izuku finally got a handle on his nerves he looked up noticing the next two contestants.
The next contestants were a boy with half red and half white hair, a burn on the left side of his face and Anselm. Anslem pulled out his sword tapping the blade to the flat of his shoe and with a metallic chime. He turned the shoe into an ice skate before repeating it on the other shoe. Once done he sheathed his now shortened sword and had Izuku hold it for him. When the small robot signaled the start of the race both the red and white hair boy and Anselm created a path out of ice. Anselm shooting ahead thanks to his ice skates getting a time of 4.53 seconds to the other boys 5.38 seconds.
Next was a pink skinned girl and a black haired Latino boy with goggles hanging around his neck. To the shock of the class the boy’s legs turned into some kind of hover bike. As he pulled his goggles on, the pink skin girl kicked off her shoes in preparation. The Latino boy won with 2.58 seconds and the pink skinned girl coming in at 4.42 seconds.
Test two. Grip strength test.
Their where only a few above average scores with this test. As most of the class was lacking any form of super strength with only a few exceptions.
One of these exceptions was a grey hair boy with multiple arms that got a score of 540.
“Not bad but let’s see if I can do better.” Ben said fiddling with his watch. Before being ingulfed in a bright green flash transforming into a large muscular red four armed alien.
(Transformation name: Four Arms. Race: Tetramand. Abilities: Super strength. Extra limbs. Bullet proof skin. Notes: Ben holds three wrestling tournament belts as Four Arms.)
“Now let’s see what I can do.” Four Arms said flexing.
“Wow your big.” The grey haired boy said. As Four Arms picked up one of the larger grip machines and squeezed it. Getting a score of 17009.
“Holy crap that’s insane!” An extremely short boy with purple balls for hair exclaimed in shock.
Seeing this made Izuku curious about his own score. Izuku squeezed the machine slowly cranking up the percentage of one for all. Managing to peak eighteen percent before wincing and dropping it. Every bone in his hand ached. It seemed twenty percent was still out of his reach.
“Are you ok?” Four Arms asked walking over to check on him.
“Yeah, just pushed my quirk a little too far. I’m a late bloomer so I still don’t have full control of it just yet.” Izuku said flexing his fingers trying to relieve the pain.
Ben frowned at the comment. After all he had used the late bloomer excuse. Enough times to make him wonder.
“You’re a late bloomer to?” Ben asked transforming back into his human form.
“Uh yeah, my quirk didn’t show up tell a little under half a year ago.” Izuku said trying not to stutter.
“Wow mine didn’t come in tell I was ten. ………. And yeah, I know how much it sucks not having a quirk. Sooo if you ever need to talk about it. I can’t say I’ll be any good at it, but I can at least say I understand.” Ben said awkwardly. As Anselm picked up Izuku’s grip strength machine.
“I was eight when I got mine.” Anselm said handing Izuku the grip strength machine.
“Weight you’re a late bloomer to?” Ben asked in surprise.
“Yeah, I try not to bring it up. As people didn’t treat me the best back then.” Anselm said unconsciously placing a hand on the spot where the crystal had pierced his side. As Ben placed a hand on the device on his wrist. To an out sider it wouldn’t look like much but Izuku recognized the signs of abuse. After all, how many times had he caught himself doing the same.
“So, weight let me get this straight all three of you where late bloomers? What does that exactly mean like you didn’t get your quirk’s when you were four or something?” The boy with purple balls for hair asked.?
“Yeah, but it’s not that simple. Late bloomers are rarer then the quirkless but are treated just as harshly.” Ben said, choosing his words carefully.
“Huh, harshly what do you mean by that?” The boy with blond hair asked.
“I mean the fact that the quirkless are mistreated and abused because they are powerless and can’t fight back. Or in my case well enough to stand against those with powers. Put simply it’s hell to be powerless.” They were shocked into silence at Bens statement. That was tell Aizawa interrupted. “You can all discuss the wrongs of quirk discrimination later. For now, let’s get back to the test.”
They all nodded and got back to the test. Izuku finally looked at his score 1875 the score surprising him at just how high it was.
Test three. Standing long jump.
This test was a bit more well rounded as a few students where even able to get a good score even without using their powers. Anselm as an example launched himself by transmuting a pillar under his feat. Another was Izuku who was easily able to make the jump with one for all. Ben however knowing most of his aliens could make the jump. He just slammed the diel down at random. Transforming him into a blue moth like alien. That had its wings folded over Itself like a cloak.
“Aaahhhh, yes this will do nicely.” Ben said in a raspy voice. His breath coming out in visible puffs like what you would see on a cold winter’s day. Then noticing Aizawa raised eyebrow at his comment. “Randomizer function. I could count the number of transformations that couldn’t make this jump on one hand alone. So, I just decided to go with whatever I got. Let’s just say this one is over equipped to say the least”.
Aizawa just sighed and shook his head. As Ben rolled his eyes well as best as he could in this form.
Ben crouched down his cloak unfolded into large blue wings revealing this forms true appearance.
(Transformation name: Big Chill. Race: Necrofriggian. Abilities: flight. sharp claws and teeth capable of shredding metal. Ice breath and ice generation and manipulation. Intangibility and invisibility.)
Big Chill launched himself into the air easily clearing the sand pit. Before gliding down onto the roof of the school. As he walked over to the edge of the roof, he folded his wings back into a cloak. Looking down at the class he noticed Aizawa scowling up at him. He sighed, a puff of cold mist coming out as he did so. Before taking a step off the ledge and plummeting to the ground. Instead of opening his wings and taking flight he turned intangible phasing into the ground. Before resurfacing behind the class.
“So how did I do?” Big chill asked startling a few students.
“Well, considering this is a jumping test. Not a flying test what do you think Tennyson.”
“I didn’t fly. Flying implies I used some form of propulsion to keep myself in the air. I just jumped and glided back down. Big difference.” Big chill pointed out.
To which Aizawa just sighed rubbing the Bridge of his nose. “Fine I’ll count it as a cleared the sand pit. Now whoever is next come on up.”
As Aizawa said that, a girl Ben didn’t recognize walked up to the sand pit. She had blond hair ruby eyes and brown rabbit ears and though she jumped normally she surprisingly cleared the sand pit. As she walked back to the group, she noticed Ben staring at her.
“Um Tennyson is there something wrong.” The girl said with a light blush.
Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on Royal Road.
“Oh, uh call me Ben and sorry it’s just I didn’t recognize you. Though I thought I had seen everyone in the class by now. I’m just not sure how I missed you?” Ben asked in confusion as something felt off to him. After years of dealing with the odd instincts of his forms had him noticing when even small details were off. So how had he missed her.
“Tennyson that’s an extremely rude thing to say!” The blond said puffing out her cheeks in annoyance.
“Huh how was that rude?” As he said that, he finally noticed the other oddity that had been nagging at him. “Hold on a second where did the invisible girl go?” Ben asked getting a lot of confused looks from everyone but the blond girl who glared angerly at him before shouting.
“I’m right hear you asshole! I’d hoped I’d be done with the hole oh where is Hagakure act after middle school! But no, I am going to nip this in the but. Any more smart aleck remarks and I’ll.” Before she could continue, however. Ben facepalm, finally figuring out his mistake.
“Sorry sorry I forgot what form I was in for a minute there. I wasn’t trying to insult you I just didn’t recognize you because I can see you now. Powers that make things invisible don’t work on me when I’m in this form. Because well I can see myself, when I do this.” Big chill said turning sea through then completely invisible before becoming visible again.
“So, you’re saying you can actually see me? Prove it.” The girl apparently named Hagakure said still not buying Ben’s story.
“Um ok.” Ben said before he grabbed one of her rabbit ears.
“Eeep ahh don’t touch them their sensitive! Weight? Ahhh you really can see me!” The girl said jumping back and covering herself her hole face turning bright red.
“Yeah, but um why are you trying to cover yourself your fully cloved. Also, though I am not a hundred percent sure you didn’t use your ability at some point. I am sure I only have one maybe two other forms that should be able to see you, but I haven’t used any of those forms today.” He said not entirely sure about the last part but close enough.
“Oh, thank god.” She sighed in relief.
Test four. Side to side steps.
No one except a small boy with purple balls for hair had any real form of advantage in this test.
Test five. Soft ball throw.
As Ben had went earlier, he had to sit this one out. This one was one of the more spectacular events with many students pulling off amazing or creative uses of their powers. Uraraka in particular with her zero gravity quirk was able to get a score of infinity. Another good example was a girl who could create objects out of her body who competed with Anselm over who could make the biggest most powerful cannon. Even the Latino boy tried to join in with them transforming his arm into a cannon as well. However, the most notable was when Izuku went to throw. As he tried to throw the ball his power fizzled out. Aizawa stepping forward his eyes glowing red.
“The judges of the entrance exam weren’t rational enough and you above all are the prime example of this. Both Ben and Anselm have ways to compensate for their weaknesses. You on the other hand don’t. You three shouldn’t have been allowed to enroll at the school, but you shouldn’t have even been allowed to take the exam.” Aizawa said coldly.
“That’s too far eraser head even for you!!!” Ben shouted his eyes glowing green with temper. That got Aizawa attention it wasn’t the first time a student had figured out his identity but something about Ben figuring it out so quickly didn’t add up.
“Weight how do you know my hero name? I never told any of you and you couldn’t have known it before coming here. I’m not a public figure. …. Moreover, I read your application you only been in japan for less than a month now and I know we haven’t met before now. So how do you know that?” Aizawa said eyeing Ben.
“Simple I read your file.” Ben said flippantly throwing Aizawa for a loop as Ben stiffened realizing what he’d just said.
“Aaand I now realize I probably shouldn’t have told you that. So instead of asking me how or why. I’ll just say ask the mouse. He’s the one who gave me the files.” This statement got Ben another harsh glare from Aizawa before he turned back to Izuku.
“This is your last chance to prove me wrong. Now ether go all out and break your bones again and be handy capped for the remaining exams. Or don’t and be expelled here and now. Either way you will prove my point that you would be nothing more than a liability. You have the drive to be a great hero but if you have to resort to destroying yourself whenever your back is against the wall. I’m sorry to say it but in that case, you can’t be a hero. I’ve returned your self destructive quirk now take your final throw and hurry up let’s get this over with.”
Izuku took the ball to the pitch and stopped, staring down at the ball mumbling to himself as he tried to think of the best way to overcome this. Before looking up with a determined expression his quirk surging to half power. This caused large surges of green lightning to spark off him. These discharges blew small holes in the ground and glassed the sand under his feat. As Izuku slowly lowered the voltage. ‘Don’t let the egg explode.’ Izuku said under his breath as he wrestled one for all to the very limit of what he could control. He’d be soar for the rest of the day, but he could handle that. Unfortunately, this was still only a little over seventeen percent that seemed to be his absolute limit at least for now that is. Izuku grit his teeth and threw the ball. However, at the last moment he dumped every last ounce of his power into one finger and in an explosion of raw force and wind sent the ball flying. Izuku gasped clinching his broken finger. His body hurt like he had pulled or torn every muscle in it but he wasn’t done yet he turned to Aizawa and said “I’m still standing I went all out and can still continue. I may not have full control yet but someday I will get there.”
“987.3meaters” Was Aizawa only reply but hidden under his scarf he was smiling.
The next two events of sit ups and toe touches were uneventful.
Unlike the next and last test. Long distance running. This test devolved into a three way race between Izuku Ida and the Latino boy who had turned his legs into a hover bike. To top it all off the hole event was given a running commentary by Ben as Xlr8 as he casually skated around the three. In the end the Latino boy came in first Ida in second and Izuku in third. As it was an endurance race Ida was able to outlast the powerhouse Izuku who couldn’t keep up with the insane stamina of a speedster. Unfortunately, with the test done it was finally time for the part everyone was dreading. It was time to receive their score.
“All right it’s time to give you your scores I won’t waste time doing this individually. So, I’m just going to do this in one go.” Aizawa said bringing up a holographic screen. The screen sputtered and glitch for half a second before displaying the scores, but something was wrong. Though Ben had some of the best test’s scores. He was in last place. Aizawa frowned seeing this and checked the individual tests scores finding they did not match the totals.
“Ok witch one of you messed with the scores?” Aizawa said glaring at the class. Who began to mutter amongst them self trying to figure out who would do such a thing?
“If whoever did this doesn’t step forward now, I will expel the entire class this instant.” When he said that Ben stepped forward getting a raised eyebrow from Aizawa. “Why would the top scoring individual purposely put himself in last place. If you are taking the blame.” Aizawa said only to be interrupted by Ben entering a command into his watch making the screen glitch before displaying the correct scores. “Ok then why? If you have such a grudge against me and.” Before he was again interrupted by Ben.
“It has nothing to do with you. Other than you’re trying to expel someone because they scored to low on some dumb test. You could expel someone who could become a great hero just because they aren’t good at sports. So, I figured I’d take the hit. If I get expelled, I could just transfer to another school and if that fail’s I already have my green card so the worst you could do is slow me down.” Ben said wishing he could turn into one of his taller forms to glare down on Aizawa.
Aizawa on the other hand was surprised by both Bens statement and the fact Ben new what a green card was. A green blue or black card referred to markers given to people who had files held by the hero organization. A green was given to those who were to be fast tracked for hero statis. Meaning anyone after their twenty first birthday with a green card could apply and receive a hero license after passing a qualification test. A blue card was given to heroes who let their license laps and a black card was given to anyone who was banned from ever receiving a license. Even if they hadn’t done anything to make it illegal for them to have one. The fact this kid new what that was let alone believed that he had one was a surprise to him. He would need to pull the boys file later.
“Fair enough reasoning but why would you put so much thought into spiting me. instead of figuring out the threat of expulsion was nothing more than a rational deception to get you lot to give it your all.” Aizawa said glaring down at Ben.
“Because you weren’t lying about the expulsion thing. You are lying now but whatever. As for the why it’s because I can easily get a second chance, they don’t likely have that luxury.” Ben said gesturing to the rest of the class.
This maid Aizawa frown for a second before saying. “We are done for the day change back to your uniforms and return to the classroom. Put the gym outfit in the basket and retrieve a syllabus from my desk. Tonight’s homework is to read it over. Midoriya take this note and go see the nurse. Tennyson do not forget to see the principal after the final bell or else.” Aizawa said before shuffling off.
“Huh Aizawa I’d say that was a dirty trick if young Tennyson hadn’t called you on it,” Allmight said with a smirk.
“Oh, Allmight shouldn’t you be at some interview or getting some one’s cat out of a tree or something?” Aizawa spat back.
“Oh no you aren’t deflecting me with that it was a rational deception malarky. Yeah, right I’ve read your file you have expelled hole classes before. You have no problem with expelling any one you deem unworthy. For you not to expel anyone even after young Tennyson threw a wrench into your plans. I can only assume that despite your misgiving you see potential in them.” Allmight said with a smug smile. Aizawa just started to walk off.
“I wouldn’t go that far. I will admit that they aren’t hopeless as for how I teach my class I’d ask you to keep your nose out of my business. However, that being said I have no qualms with expelling students because it is crueler to let them believe in a dream they will never achieve.” Aizawa said simply walking off leaving Allmight alone as he transformed into his skeletal form with a sigh.
“You and I clearly have a different definition of what is cruel, but I guess you’re just trying to help in your own way.”
Izuku groggily dragged himself back to the 1-A classroom. The school nurse recovery girl having patched him up at the cost of his already depleted stamina. He was going to need a nap when he got home. He thought as he walked into the classroom. Finding the rest of the class just milling around surprised to see they still had ten minutes left tell the final bell rang.
“Hello Midoriya. how is your finger?” Ida asked walking over to greet him.
“It’s much better now that Recovery girl has patched me up, but it really wore me out.” Izuku said trying not to yawn.
“Ahh yes as I recall her quirk uses the energy of the person, she uses it on to heal them, right?”
“Yeah, it does. So did I miss anything?” Izuku asked before finally giving in and yawning.
“Not really we just decided to have a short self introduction activity. We were just weighting on you, to start.” He said before turning to the room at large and loudly proclaiming. “We are all hear now who would like to go first!?”
“Oh, allow me mon ami.” A sparkly blond haired boy said rushing to the front of the class room.
“I’m Yuga Aoyama an I’m the sparkliest person you are likely to ever meat. My fabulous quirk is called navel laser I can shoot a beautiful sparkly laser. Now that said I hope we can get along.” Aoyama said striking a pose before returning to his seat. As he did a girl with pink haired, and skin and two small horns walked up.
“Hey everyone, my name is Mina Ashido. My quirk is acid it is not all that flashy, but it will surprise you with all I can do with it. Any ways I know we agreed to keep this short so I’ll just add I like music and dancing and I hope we all can be friends.” She said before heading back to her seat. As she did, she high fived a boy with spiky read hair as he walked up to the front.
“My name is Eijiro Kirishima and my quirks called hardening.” He said hardening his fist before slamming them together creating some small sparks to demonstrate. “It may not be that flashy or strong but it’s really useful when you want to protect someone!” He said with a big smile showing off several large sharp teeth. Before starting to return to his seat. A blond haired boy with black lightning bolt markings walked up to take his place.
“Hey, I’m Denki Kaminari and my quirks Electrification. A shocking quirk for a flashy guy like me.” He said pointing finger guns at the class making small sparks of electricity shoot off from his fingertips. As he did Ashido appeared behind him startling him and most of the class. “Hay hurry it along sparky we ain't got all day.”
“Huh Ashido I wasn’t?” Kaminari started to say before a second Ashido this one at her desk interrupted. “Hey that’s not me.”
As she said that the Ashido up front grinned mischievously. “Aww I’d hoped you would have played along for a bit longer.” She then slid a hand over her left arm revealing a familiar watch and with a quick press of the dial and a bright green flash Ben appeared in her place. “Well ether way I think it’s my turn sparky.” Ben said with a grin. To which Kaminari just shrugged and returned to his seat.
“I’m Ben. Ben Tennyson, I know its common hear to call people by their last name but I’m from the U.S. and prefer to be called by my first name. Also, I’m going to go ahead and apologize. Because I am probably going to call you by your first name at least once without meaning to. Any ways my power has a long confusing name because it’s not normal shapeshifting. It’s a lot more unstable thus the need for the stabilizer. Oh and a word of warning whatever you do don’t touch the watch. Let’s just say that never ends well for anyone.” Ben said before heading to his seat. As a black haired boy with of all things, tape dispenser like mutations in his arms walked up.
“I’m Hanta Sero and my quirks tape not that strong but really useful, especially in a pinch.” He said with a cheerful smile next was the Latino boy who seemed nervous as he walked up.
“Ok well I’m Rex Salazar but like Ben I’d prefer to be called by my first name Rex. My quirk is technopathy, but I also have another ability. You see I’m what’s classified as a E.V.O. An Exponentially Variegated Organism. For those of you who do not know what that is. Its someone or something mutated by an outside force in such a way that it grant’s it/them one or more superhuman abilities. Mine are varied and would take too long to explain but in short, I have a bunch of microscopic robots called Nanites in me that thanks to my technopathy ability I can control. Now don’t underestimate what my Nanites can do they may be too small to be seen by the naked eye, but you wouldnt believe what these little guys can do.” He said making a small metal flower bloom in his palm before absorbing it and returning to his seat. Next Was a boy with a large tail.
“I’m Mashirao Ojiro and my quirk is called tail. It’s nothing all that special but combined with my marshal art skills it packs one heck of a punch.” He said with an awkward smile but as he went to go back to his seat the bell rang.
“Aww man I wanted my turn.” Hagakure whined.
“Don’t worry we will get a chance to get to know each other later.” The black haired girl who had competed with Anselm and Rex earlier said. As everyone started to clear out of the classroom, most of the students left for the day. Ben on the other hand went to meet with the principal.
“Hello young Tennyson. Take a seat. While we wait for Aizawa.” The principle said gesturing to one of the chairs Infront of his desk. The principle was a small bear mouse hybrid with a scar over one eye named Nezu.
Nezu was one of the few nonhuman heroes in Japan but he was the only one who was public about his nonhuman status. As unlike the others he was one of the rare animals with a quirk.
Ben didn’t have to wait long with Aizawa coming in only a few minutes after he’d set down.
“Sorry about the weight I was pulling Tennyson’s file.” Aizawa said setting down several large stuffed folders.
“It was a lot more extensive than I expected. Most of it seems to be devoted to his transformation and that stabilizers abilities but oddly enough the majority of the files have been censored. Theirs more black ink in one folder then there is in half the countries hero database. So, before we begin is there something I need to know or be on the lookout for hear?” Aizawa asked glancing over at Ben.
“I’m sorry Aizawa but put simply its way above either of our paygrades. Young Tennyson hear has a higher security clearance then even I do but from what little I do know. There are some very powerful people out there and most of them would very much like to see young Tennyson hear terminated. So he’s been afforded some let’s say extra liberties. Note this does not exclude him from any disciplinary action. For any transgressions he may commit.” Nezu said sipping a cup of tea.
“Well that at least answers about half my questions and rases so many many more but to get to the reason we are here is because of Tennyson’s disrespect. He also ran me over with a large, armored form and.” However, before he could continue Ben interrupted. “Your still upset about that I told you I couldn’t see you and Armodrillo isn’t exactly one of my most graceful form.”
“Armoe what now.” Aizawa said with a raised eyebrow.
“Ahh, I take it you didn’t reed young Tennyson’s file to thoroughly, he is in the habit of naming his transformations. To make them easier to identify and to give them some level of personality. Anyways I think we can let that one slide. As young Tennyson said that form isn’t one of his most graceful transformations. So, it’s not too farfetched for something like this to happen. Let’s just be happy it wasn’t something far worse as if my memory is correct that forms heavier than a truck. As for the other two offences I take it there is something more to his cheating on a physical test. As I have little doubt, he is far more than capable of passing with flying colors with his abilities. So, what was it?” Nezu asked gesturing for Aizawa to continue.
“Well yes, he actually got the highest score in the class. He then lowered his own score to last place to protect his classmates from being expelled.” Aizawa said with a sigh as he had an idea wear this conversation was going.
“Did you?” Nezu asked as he stirred his tea.
“I’m sorry did I what?”
“Did you expel any of them?” Nezu said simply.
Aizawa sighed in annoyance. Something he now realized he was doing a lot of today. “No not this time”
“Well in that case since he did it to protect another student and he only lowered his own score. We will let it pass this time and only this time! As normally the punishment for an offence this severe would be met with expulsion. However, if you wish to pursue it further let us lessen the offence to tampering with school equipment. Now that said I’ll leave the boys punishment to you as I believe he at least deserves some level of punishment for his transgression.” Nezu said getting up to make some more tea, leaving the room letting Aizawa finish in peace.
Aizawa on the other hand was not happy with his position. The only thing he could punish Ben for was a minor offence. If he pursued it to aggressively, he would be abusing his authority as Ben’s teacher. Either option where unappealing to say the least. “Detention for the rest of the week. Afterwards I will decide if further punishment is needed. Now go on I’ve wasted enough time on this.” Aizawa sighed before walking off leaving Ben alone.
Omake part 1/3 dad might part 1 omake: Inko Midoriya was a short chubby kindhearted woman. With green hair and emerald, green eyes like her son Izuku. Inko was currently weighting in line at the supermarket. She checked her basket to make sure she had everything she needed for that night’s dinner. Only just noticing the man in line Infront of her had finished his purchase.
“Oh, hi miss Midoriya.” The casher said smiling at her.
The previous customer. A skeletal blond man stopped and turned back hearing this. “Um pardon me miss.”
“Yes, can I help you?” Inko asked nervously.
“Well yes are you related to a boy named Izuku Midoriya by any chance?” The skeletal man asked.
“Ah yes he’s my son but weight how do you know him?” Inko asked.
“He has been helping me with a community renewal project. Down by Takoba beach. He’s made quite an impression on me. And I might add you have raised quite an impressive young man miss Midoriya.” The skeletal man said with a warm fond smile.
Inko blushed before stammering out. “Oh, thank you mister oh um sorry I don’t think I got your name?”
“Oh yes sorry about that I’m Toshinori Yagi.” The skeletal man said finally introducing himself.
“Well then mister Yagi thank you again for your kind words. Very few people have had anything kind to say about my son after they learned about his condition. Oh, did you hear the good news about that.” Inko said clearly trying to avoid mentioning the fact her son was at least formally quirkless. This didn’t go unnoticed by Toshinori but he refused to comment on it. After all he could understand why it would be a touchy subject.
“Yes, he’s showed me already he was rather proud of it to.” Toshinori said with a small chuckle as his smile turned to one of proud fondness at the memory.
This reaction was more than a little surprising for Inko. As she hadn’t seen anyone have such a positive reaction to her son since he was diagnosed quirkless. “You knew about his condition, and it didn’t bother you.” Inko said clearly shocked.
“Why would it bother me? He’s a good kid with or without a quirk and take it from a old pro. Your sons got the heart of a hero and then some.” Toshinori said with a fond smile.
This surprised Inko this man was. Or at least at one point had been a pro hero and he had seen potential in her son. Presumably even before he had gotten his quirk. As Izuku’s mother Inko had done everything she could to protect Izuku from the prejudice against quirkless individuals. She knew she hadn’t done a very good job of it. She knew Izuku had even taken to hiding stuff from her to keep her from worrying more then she already did. She knew because she had found him treating some of his wounds after he thought she had gone to bed. However, this guy had been supportive of her son even though he was quirkless.
“But why?” Inko said in shock the words just slipping out only to get a confused look from Toshinori. “I’m sorry it’s just why are you being so supportive of him? I mean I try to be supportive but I’m ashamed to say with his condition and dream even I had little confidents in him until recently. Most just dismissed him out right without even giving him a chance. So why didn’t you?” Inko said sadly.
Toshinori paused in thought for a second before saying seriously. “He never told you what he did at Takoba did he?”
“He said it was some form of training. To be honest this is the first time I have heard anything about this community renewal project?” Inko said slightly confused.
Toshinori sighed then said something under his breath she couldn’t hear before saying. “I’ll tell you what. You need to know what your suns been up to, and it will be a lot easier to show you. So how about we meet up at Takoba municipal beach in a few hours. I’ll explain everything there.”
“Ok I just need to take my grocery’s home first. I’ll head to Takoba once I’m done.” Inko said with a small nod.
“Ok let’s meat at the steps to the beach.” Toshinori said before walking off.
Inko then paid for her groceries and apologized to the casher for wasting his time. She then headed to the train station and home. All the while wondering what her son had been up to and why he was keeping secrets from her. Then there was his quirk yes it was powerful, but it had a horrible backlash. That could cause severe damage that could end up crippling him if he wasn’t careful. To top it off she had no clue where it came from. She had every test ran on him she could in the vein hope her son had some form of powers that the traditional test might have missed. All they managed to find was her son had a slightly above average intellect and an above average memory and a miner mutation that caused the melanin his hair to bleach green that he had inherited from her. However, in Izuku the mutation was less prevalent than it was in her. That was why his black roots where more prevalent than hers. What had her worried most of all was she had a hole binder of files stashed away in her closet that stated very clearly on just how impossible it was for her son to have a quirk. She sighed so wrapped up in her worries that she nearly missed her stop. Once she managed to reach her apartment, she quickly put her groceries away. Before scribbling out a quick note to Izuku in case he got back before she did. She didn’t fully know why but she felt like Toshinori was hiding something from her. So, she all but emptied her wallet leaving only enough for train fair and tossed a taser and defense spray into her bag before leaving. When arriving at Takoba she was surprised by how clean the beach was. She had seen the news report about how the beach had been cleaned up. The place was a literal dump before and with the current more trash should have just piled up on the beach by now. So, whoever had cleaned the beach had to be keeping it clean. She quickly spotted Toshinori doing something on his phone sitting on the steps leading down to the beach.
“Oh hey.” Toshinori said getting up.
“Hello so what was it you wanted to show me.” Inko asked still more than a little weary of Toshinori.
“This.” he said gesturing to the now pristine beach before elaborating. “This is all Izuku’s handywork.”
Inko blinked not able to fully comprehend what he had said. “You mean Izuku joined a community project to clean up the beach?”
“No, I mean he cleaned the beach by himself. Well mostly by himself I did drive the truck to the dump after he loaded it” Toshinori said with a fond smile.
Inko stumbled back slightly her mind whirling “Bu Bu but I came through hear a few months before the first news reports on the cleanup started. You couldn’t even see the ocean through the mountains of trash and you’re telling me Izuku my Izuku cleaned all that up on his own! how is that possible?” Inko asked trying to rap her head around what he had just said as Toshinori got a mischievous grin and said. “I haven’t even told you the truly impressive part yet. I originally estimated it take about eleven to thirteen months to fully clean the beach. However Izuku finished it in nine months and he did so before he had his powers.” Inko had to put a hand on the divider wall to keep her self steady as her mind whirled. She simply couldn’t understand how any one person could do all this and though she would be very proud of her son if what this Toshinori was saying was true. However, the idea anyone could do this powerless it was all just too much.
“H..how???” She said dumbfounded.
“A lot of time effort and above all determination. Your son has a lot more of that then most pros do. heck I’d even go as far to say he’d gotten his quirk from shear hard work and effort if I didn’t know better.” Toshinori said careful with how he phrased his last statement. As he did know where Izuku had gotten his quirk. He also knew the boy had done far more to earn it, but his mother deserved to know as much as he could tell her about it.
Omake part 2/3 paradox meats the loveable blue idiot omake.: With a flash paradox stepped out onto a darkened wrecker’s corner stage. Noticing this he pulls out his watch to check that he had arrived at the right time before sighing.
“The zombie could at least be on time.” He grumbled under his breath in annoyance as a small clunk caught his attention and worried him. This world was cut off from all others nothing got in without wrecker giving it permission that even including himself. On top of that wrecker kept his swarm hear as both a guard and form of pest control and even the smallest of them where the size of a dog. He’d see that on the empty stage this was something else. With a gesture his cane materialized in his hand as he readied for a fight. Quietly he snuck over to the desk but found nothing under it he didn’t know how the desk work beyond it was some form of computer. He knew it ran everything hear or at least that’s how wrecker made it look. If he could make it work, he could call wrecker or rase an alarm or something but as he stood up he noticed a small blue action figure on the desk at least that’s what paradox thought it was. That was tell it turned around.
“AH OH MY GOD A GIANT PERSON!!!!” The tiny man in blue armor shouted.
“Uuum to you maybe bu.” paradox started to say only to be interrupted by the tiny man “AAAAH PLEASE DONT EAT ME I PROBABLY NOT THAT TASTY AND IM COVERED IN METAL!!! so you would probably chip a tooth.”
“Um no need to worry about that im not going to eat you. Though I would like to know how you got in hear?” Paradox asked sitting down in wreckers chair to not scare the small man.
“Well, I was looking for the bathroom. Then I got lost and somehow found this place and I still haven’t found a bathroom!”
“Well, if that’s the case you are indeed very lost my tiny blue friend. Unfortunately, as far as I know there are no restrooms in this reality” paradoxes said pulling out his pocket watch to see if he couldn’t send him back to his own universe. Or at the very least send him somewhere with a functional toilet but as he did the space Infront of the desked shattered. As Wrecker stepped out as the hole in reality mended itself behind him.
“Ahh there you are sorry I’m late I was looking for him.” He said gesturing to the small blue man with his staff. Paradox did not know much about the staff other then it was essentially wreckers far more powerful and weaponized version of his own Chrono Navigator.
“I thought you said this reality was sealed off from all others. So how did he manage to get in here.” paradox said checking his watch.
“He is an outlier he brakes the forth wall constantly along with Two separate occasions where he just randomly wondered into a different reality. To top it all off he did so without any powers or items to let him do so. He somehow got in hear when I brought him into my multiverse for a new story. Any ways I’ll send him home then we can go checkout the disturbance you found.” Wrecker said picking up the tiny man in blue armor then with a small swing of his staff he shattered a small hole in reality tossing the tiny man inside. “Ok let’s go.”
Paradox just sighed in annoyance at his actions. “Fine.” Paradox said looking down at his watch before the two vanished in a white flash.
Omake part 3/3 Wreckers angel problem.: in a random convenes store somewhere in Japan a board female attendant looked up as a large figure in a bulky green power armor with a space helmet and a large purple fleshy right arm and of all things a bamboo staff walked in. The attended placed a hand on the alarm button under the counter while the figure grabs something from a fridge before walking over to her and just as she was about to press the button the helmet opened up.
“Hey is this a mountain dew? I can’t read a lick of Japanese.” Wrecker asked setting the bottle on the counter.
“Uh yes. I’m sorry sir are you a hero?” she asked as she ringed him up.
“No I’m what you would call a licensed contractor we do the jobs to hostile for civilians to handle and don’t fall under the general duties of hero’s. As of such we get to legally use our quirks and support items, but we don’t do much fighting mostly we are called in to clean up after villain attacks or quirk related accidents. Speaking of which look to your left.” Wrecker said as he played for his drink.
“Hu wh AAAAH what the hell is that!?!” The attendant screamed.
“That’s a animated statue. There’s a bunch of them running around. Well, they’re where a bunch of them. I’m here to finish clearing them out. Don’t worry about them to much they can’t move so long as you’re looking at it so just don’t blink.” Wrecker said picking up his staff and using it to pause time before wrecker turned to the reader and said, “Ok yeah that’s not an animated statue its a weeping angel damn things found some way in here and are basically acting like some super annoying jump scare cockroaches.” Wrecker sighed before allowing time to start again.
“Ok miss do me a small favor and keep your eyes on the statue while I pick it up. Make sure to warn me before you blink these things pack one heck of an annoying punch.” Wrecker said as his fleshy arm unraveled into tendrils.
“Al all right” The attended said not looking away from the angel.
As she did Wrecker wrapped his tendrils around the statue and with one heave, he hefted the angel onto his shoulder. Before several eyes grew out of the arm to keep the angel frozen.
“Ok so I think this is the last of them but just in case lock the door behind me.” He said before hauling the angel out his helmet closing as he walked off.
When he was sure he was alone he started to continue to talk to the reader. “Ok so to start. Yes, I know the Omnitrix cannot change the user’s appearance beyond changing their species in cannon. Though the Omnitrix should be easily capable of doing so. However, in this story this can be achieved by using a system called the genetic editor but more on that in the later chapters. Next to those who keep saying I got the characters ages wrong in the previous chapter. I’m guessing this is because the prolog jumps around a bit and the ages given before the entrance exam. Is the age of the characters when they got their powers. Though it seems most of the confusion comes from Izuku’s age. So, as I stated in my last omake Izuku received an extra year of training from Allmight. Meaning he met Allmight and was attacked by the sludge villain a year earlier then he did in cannon. So, he was thirteen when he met all might in this story instead of fourteen like he was in the manga/show. This extra year is why he can use full cowling and can use more of one for all. Now to make sure there is no more confusion about the characters ages. Hears the characters ages as of the entrance exam. Ben 15 Izuku 15 Anselm 13. Anselm like Edward being a child prodigy skipped a few grades. Now moving on to a few key points. A while back I realized I had to many balls in the air with me working on new as well as existing projects all at once. So, I set up a new system which is why I’ve seemed to be more active lately. As I’m essentially focusing on fewer projects with me switching between updating old and working on new projects alongside working on more of this story. At the moment I’m working on updating forbidden sin but as for my next new project well that’s up to you as I currently have a poll up on my fanfiction account. The link to my fanfiction is below. The poll gives an extremely short explanation of each of these new story’s now that said I’d like to thank everyone who faved or commented. Lastly if you have a question you would like to have me or any character from my story answer over on my Q&A story tag the question with Q&A or post it over in the Q&A section on discord.” Wrecker said as he finally reached his destination.
“I’m back with what I think is the last of them.” Wrecker said walking in. The room was overgrown with fleshy vines covered in eyes and full to the brim with weeping angels. all staring at a very board professor paradox
“Finally, I’ve been stuck in hear for forty three hours fifty two minutes and nine seconds. I’m truly and utterly board.” Paradox groaned looking down at his watch.
“Well, I did offer to get you a book or game or something.” Wrecker sighed placing the angel down. “
Yes, well I’d prefer not to be distracted in a room full of murderous statues. Hold on why are you wearing that?” Paradox asked noticing the armor.
“Oh, so you finally noticed? I honestly thought the perception filter wouldn’t work on you, but I’ve been wearing my armor for a while now you just didn’t notice. I started wearing it after the third time the angels grabbed me, and I ended up inside a brothel in the Mongol empire.” Wrecker said gesturing to a pile of arrows and axes that wrecker had to pull out of his back afterwards.
“Ahh yes I see well then it makes sense why you would want the armor. So, what are we going to do with the angels now that we have them all in one place? What’s your plan and don’t say infest them that won’t work.” paradox said getting up and stretching.
“No I’m going to teleport them into a black hole and if that doesn’t work, I’ll do some research and try again.” He said before clacking the tip of his staff on the floor.
Before the floor around where he and Paradox where standing shattered leaving only what was under their feet intact. Below them the distortion of the event horizon of a black hole sucking in the angels the tendrils and anything else unlucky enough to be in the room before the floor reformed and wrecker and paradox walked out.
“Show off.” Paradox said in annoyance.
