In a world where everyone has some sort of strange or superhuman ability, you would think people would be used to seeing truly strange and extraordinary things.
Izuku Uraraka and Ida walked out of the gates of U.A. as they discussed their day. “Man, that was insane. I can’t believe Aizawa threatened us with expulsion on the first day and we missed orientation too.” Uraraka whined as the three started to walk home.
“Well, this is U.A. After all it’s not the top hero school for nothing but that said the way Aizawa handled it by lying like that leaves a bad taste in my mouth.” Ida said with a frown.
“I don’t think he lied I think Ben was right he was planning to expel one of us. He just changed his mind.” Izuku said after a short pause.
“Huh, what makes you say that Deku?” As Uraraka said that insulting nickname Izuku had a moment of panic before stuttering out
“D-D- Deku?”
“Yeah, I mean I know that Bakugou guy clearly has issues, but I figure he wouldn’t mind me borrowing his nickname for you.” Uraraka said smiling happily which didn’t match Izuku’s past experiences with that name.
“Uhh d-d-did he tell you what it means.” Izuku asked timidly. Izuku’s reaction didn’t go unnoticed by either Uraraka or Ida.
“No, I just assumed It was short for Dekiru you know you can do it. It seemed fitting after all.” Uraraka said worried by Izuku’s earlier reaction. Instead of Izuku getting mad he was blushing lightly before mumbling out.
“Well, you see Deku is an insulting nickname that is a play on the kanji in my name Kacchan uses it to make fun of me.”
“That’s not very hero like.” Ida said
“Oh, sorry I didn’t know I honestly thought it was just a cute nickname.” Uraraka said sadly while Izuku’s blush only darkened.
“Um well if you want to call me Deku I don’t mind.” Izuku said unable to look her in the eye.
“But didn’t you just say it was an insult?” Ida asked shocked by Izuku’s sudden change.
“Well yeah but she doesn’t mean it as an insult and in that case, I really don’t mind.” Izuku mumbled out. As Uraraka smiled seeing that Izuku wasn’t mad at her and that he didn’t mind her nickname for him.
As the three walked off happily talking. Toshinori smiled watching from a window glad to see his successor was making friends. God knew the kid could use a healthy relationship with someone his own age.
‘Enjoy it while you can, young Midoriya. Because things are only going to get harder from here.’ Toshinori thought before starting to walk off passing Ben and a red haired girl with cat like mutation and eyes that matched the color of Bens. If Toshinori remembered right, young Tennyson had a cousin in class 1b this must have been her.
“Ahh, you Two must be the young Tennyson’s.” Toshinori said as he approached the two who tensed slightly but knowing a bit of these two’s story from their grandfather. He figured he should probably say something to calm their worries before they ran off or something.
“You two look just like how your grandfather described you well give or take a few years.” Toshinori said with a fond smile and though the two seemed to calm down they looked at each other before Ben asked.
“If you’re a friend of our Grandpa then where did he meet Grandma?” As Ben asked this he reached behind his back for the watch.
“Ahh yes, he told me to tell you they met in Roswell as a password. Even though I know that they met else wear.” Toshinori said simply.
“Oh, um sorry. We have had a few run ins with some of our grandfathers so called friends before. It’s always nice to meet one of our grandfather’s real friends though. So how do you know our grandpa mister uum?” Gwen asked.
“It's Toshinori Yagi and we met back when he was still working as a hero. That whatever it is he used to work for. Called me in as a big gun if things went wrong for a mission and oh boy did it go wrong. Ha, I have never been in such an insane fight. It was like a weeklong war the two of us even leveled the island we were on during the final clash, and we weren’t the only ones there. There was the original Ultraman Captain Atomic and some crazy blind dragon guy Grougal something. (A.N. five points if you can guess who that is) And even with all of us working together we still nearly didn’t make it out of there and that’s not even the craziest part. Right as we all thought we were going to die in the complexes self destruct. Your grandfather who we all thought had died earlier in the fight comes through the wall in an armored R.V. with massive rockets slapped on it. We gunned it out of there and still barely made it out. I owe Max my life for that incident and a few others. So, when he asked me to look in on you two from time to time as a small favor. How could I say no? Which reminds me do you know where the other two Max asked me to look in on are?” Toshinori asked.
“Yeah, one is in additional classes. Part of the whole dual course thing to get his support item creation license along with his hero license. The other should be hanging out in the support department tinkering with some gadget or another.” Ben said as the three started to walk off. As the three approached a stairwell. Gwen's eyes started to glow faintly as a pink haired girl came crashing down the stairs landing on Gwen.
“Gwen!” “Miss Tennyson!” Ben and Toshinori shouted as the pinket started to pick herself up.
“Ouch!” She groaned looking up at the Two in confusion.
“Um I think you two are confused that’s not my name.” She groaned as she shifted into a sitting position.
“No, you idiot we are talking about the girl you landed on!” Ben scolded getting the pink haired girl to look down spotting Gwen who was just lying there with a goofy smile.
“Oh sorry?” The girl said getting off Gwen while Ben helped her up noticing her dopy grin.
“Pervert” Ben said clearly annoyed with Gwen at the same time confusing Toshinori.
“Your just jealous.” Gwen teased Ben.
“No, I’m not and don’t you already have a girlfriend. I don’t think Hope would be happy with you eyeing up other girls.” Ben retorted as something finally clicked in Toshinori’s head.
Gwen’s powers warped reality. Moreover, it altered probability and she apparently liked girls and as the pink haired girl had landed in such a way, she practically smothered Gwen with her breast. This made Toshinori had to suppress the urge to groan in mild frustration. Gwen’s powers must have gone off causing this whole mess but as he was about to scold Gwen. He noticed that the pink haired girl was chasing a small floating ball that had taken to orbiting the Tennyson’s.
“What the heck is that thing?” Ben asked his hand hovering over his watch.
“Oh, this adorable little baby is an energy tracker. I built it to track down people with energy based abilities it was working properly. Then my baby just freaked out almost like it picked up an ungodly amount of energy. Like you could blow up the planet with that much energy kind of thing.” Only to be interrupted by Ben.
“Sounds about right.” This got dropped jaws from both the pink haired girl and Toshinori. While Gwen elbowed Ben
“Let’s just say our powers are extremely dangerous if we aren’t careful, and they produce an absurd amount of energy as a byproduct.” Gwen said in explanation.
“Whatever just help me catch my baby before it shorts out. Hurry! Please!” The pink haired girl whined chasing the orb that Ben nabbed out of the air with ease before handing it to her. As he did, she noticed the Omnitrix.
“Oh, who’s this adorable little baby?” The pink haired girl said inspecting the watch. As she did the watch started to spark. Building up a charge for a defense pulse. Ben only just managing to pull his arm free before the pulse went off.
“That’s my transformation stabilizer I’d warn you against touching it trust me it can do some pretty weird stuff if you’re not careful.” Ben warned as the watch dumped the charge.
“Aww come on let me see!” She whined but when Toshinori noticed both the Tennyson’s eyes starting to glow. He figured now would be a good time to step in.
“Um miss?” Toshinori asked the pink haired girl.
“Huh oh its Mei Hatsume.” She said trying to grab Ben’s wrist.
(Mei Hatsume. Quirk: Zoom. Mei’s eyes have the ability to zoom in on whatever she looks at. She is capable of magnifying and increasing her visual range. Notes: Though a brilliant inventor most of her inventions end in explosions.)
“Look here miss Hatsume even if you’re a support department student. That doesn’t give you the right to mess with other's support items without their permission. Especially as it could injure yourself and the student it’s attached to.” Toshinori said sternly.
“Ok so?” Hatsume said not caring.
“So, it’s dangerous and you should stop.” Toshinori sputtered.
“Why hey!” Hatsume whined as Ben shoved her off him and Gwen with a wave of her hand erected a pink transparent barrier blocking Hatsume from reaching him.
“Hey! All of you stop it now!” Toshinori ordered as his tone shifted from a kind and friendly one to one that intimidated and demanded absolute authority. For the first time since meeting the man, Ben and Gwen could actually see Toshinori as someone who could have once fought side by side with their grandfather.
“Aww come on I just wanted a look at it.” Hatsume whined as Gwen let the barrier fade.
“Ok, first off young Miss Tennyson. I understand that you wanted to help your cousin but no quirk usage outside of hero classes. Now miss Hatsume I can understand your interest in young Tennyson's device, but it is his to do with as he wishes. If he doesn’t want to let you see it, then you can’t force him to. Especially since it’s something he needs to function normally. Now if I hear of you doing anything like this again, I will bring this issue up to Nezu as if you had damaged the device. It could lead to bodily harm to both you and Mister Tennyson. Now if you aren’t taking any additional courses. I’d recommend you pack up your belongings and go home for the day.” Toshinori said sternly.
“Aaaawwwww.” Was Hatsume's only response before she walked off in the same direction she came from.
“Thanks, but I don’t think that will be the end of it. I think she’s heading the same way we are.” Ben sighed.
“Oh well, I’ll keep an eye on her then.” Toshinori sighed before following the two up the stairs. He let out a small, annoyed groan as he did so. He was frustrated that even going up a flight of stairs was so hard now. Where once he could have flattened a forest with a single punch but now, he struggled with the simplest things. Like going up some stairs.
“Are you sure this is the way to the support department?” Gwen asked as Ben was fiddling with his watch.
“Don’t worry Miss Tennyson though the campus might be a little difficult to navigate. I can assure you that this is the way to the support department.” Toshinori chimed in helpfully.
“Oh, I guess it would make sense for you to know the way. Well then would you mind leading the way we are a lot more likely to get there sooner with you leading the way. Then if we wait for this dufus to pull up a map on that watch of his.” Gwen said gesturing for him to take the lead while Ben kept fiddling with the watch.
“So how was your guys first day?” Ben asked giving up on fiddling with the watch.
“Good but a bit hectic, our teacher had us show off our abilities. That ended with a game of capture the flag, that was more of a free for all battle royale” Gwen said in annoyance.
“Mine was similar but had a fitness test and my homeroom teach was an ass. He gave me detention for the rest of the week just because I bumped into him as Armodrillo.” Ben groaned.
“Weight but doesn’t Armodrillo have tunnel vision and bad spatial awareness above ground? Didn’t you tell him about that?” Gwen asked.
“Yeah, I told him. He still gave me detention.” Ben sighed.
“So, um who’s this Armodrillo person?” Toshinori asked trying to follow the two’s conversation.
“Oh, right you wouldn’t know. Armodrillo is the name of one of my transformations. I name my forms, so they are easier to identify and so on.” Ben said simply.
“Ahh that makes sense then.” Toshinori said as they finally reached the support department and walked into a three way debate. Between Hatsume a man in jeans massive metal gloves and a yellow excavator themed helmet and a black skinned girl with red hair and glowing crystal blue eyes.
“Fascinating how did you make it so small. it should be the size of a building.” The man asked the red haired girl.
“That’s a complex question. In short, I shrank it. As to how I did that, well you wouldn’t believe me if I told you.” She said simply.
“What how tell me!! How did you do something so amazing!!!” Hatsume said excitedly.
“Like I said its complicated and it’s not something I can easily reproduce.” The red haired girl said trying desperately to change the subject, thankfully it was at that moment she noticed Ben and Gwen.
“Hey, I was wondering when you two would show up.” She said rushing over to hug the two.
“Hey Sari, er well sorry we're late but we brought someone to meet you.” Ben said gesturing to Toshinori who approached with a smile.
“Hello, miss my name is Toshinori Yagi. I’m an old friend of Maxwell Tennyson he asked me to check in on you and the Tennyson’s. Along with keep an eye on you lot and offer you my assistance if you need anything while you are here.”
“Oh, hello mister Toshinori. I’m Sari Sumdac my father is friends with Max.” She said shaking Toshinori’s hand.
(Sari Sumdac. Quirk: None. Race: human Cybertronian hybrid. Abilities: She has an immense arsenal of inbuilt weapons and gadgets as well as low level techno kinesis. Notes: Sari is the source of a plethora of her father's inventions. He studied the machinery that made up Sari's body to help him create his own inventions.)
“Sumdac as in the famous robotics company Sumdac Systems?” Toshinori said more than a little surprised to be meeting a CEO’s daughter.
“Yeah, that’s my dad’s company, you’re probably wondering why a CEO’s daughter is here at U.A.? Well in short Ben and Gwen have been my best friends since I was ten. My dad was always busy. So even though he does his best to make time for me I spent most of my time alone. Well, that was tell I met the Tennyson’s family. They’re a very acceptive group and in the end they all but adopted me. When I found out my best friends were going to one of the top hero schools. That also has one of the best support courses. I jumped at the chance to join them.” Sari said simply while clearing most of Toshinori’s questions.
“Ah well if you need anything while your hear at U.A. let me know.”
“Ok, I’ll keep that in mind.” Sari said cheerfully.
“So, Sari do you know when Kevin gets out?” Ben asked, starting to check the time on his watch.
“Well, you know what they say, Tennyson, speak of the devil and he will appear.” Said a tall muscular boy with black hair and brown eyes. Notably, instead of a tie, he wore a lock on a chain with an eleven carved into it.
“So, who’s your new friend?” As Kevin said this his hand reached up to fiddle with the lock hanging around his neck. To anyone who didn’t know him well, it would look like a casual gesture. However, those who knew him also knew the lock was made of high density alien metal. That he would use his power to absorb if things went wrong.
(Kevin Levin Quirk: None. Race: Osmosian. Abilities: Energy Absorption. Matter Absorption. Power Absorption. Limited shapeshifting and matter manipulation. Notes. In this AU Kevin was adopted by Max after finally taking Ben up on one of his many offers for help on their second summer road trip. Because of this, he’s incredibly loyal to the Tennysons for giving him a second chance and helping him get his life together. Kevin is also a reformed energy addict.)
“Hey Kev.” Ben said bumping fist with Keven making it clear that everything was ok.
“This is Toshinori Yagi. Grandpa Max asked him to look in on us and help out if we need anything.” Ben said introducing the two.
“Ah well thank you, mister Yagi.” Keven said wiping his hand before offering it to shake. Toshinori recognized the action as a habit for many mechanics and grease monkeys. The action alone raised his opinion of the boy a few notches.
“My pleasure young um, Kevin, wasn’t it?” Toshinori said shaking his hand.
“Yeah, just Kevin no last name. I know it’s considered rude to call people here by their first name and all but I’m debating whether to keep it or change it since Max adopted me. So, for now, it’s just Kevin.” He said feeling more than a little awkward.
“That’s quite all right my boy. You’re at the age where you’re deciding who you are going to be in the future. For some, it's simpler than others and for some, it’s a lot harder. I understand that and it’s my job as a teacher to try and ensure you are as well informed as possible when you make those decisions.” Toshinori said sagely.
“Well, um thanks.” Kevin said slightly taken aback.
“No worries young lad.” Toshinori said with a fond smile.
“Now I've taken enough of your kid’s time. You should all head home. Oh, ah I almost forgot before you go, I want each of you to take one of these it has my contact information on them.” Toshinori said fishing out a handful of business cards from his pocket and offering them to the kids. Who each took one before Toshinori pocketed the rest and excused himself letting the kids head home?
Unfortunately, as Keven's beginner's license was only good in the US, they had to take the train to Kevin’s great irritation. Half an hour and six stops later the group of four were now walking through a warehouse district next to a small port. Before entering warehouse thirteen this warehouse was not numbered like the rest and in fact, if anyone bothered to check they would find that there were no records of a warehouse thirteen or any building ever even being built there. In reality, the warehouse was a façade hiding a large spaceship this ship was the Rust Bucket Three, and like the Rust Buckets One and Two it lived up to its namesake.
The ship was ancient and like its other namesakes far more than meets the eye. The ship was a Shaman class Carrier, the only of its kind in the Milky Way. It had crashed on Mars sometime in the Triassic era before that it had been adrift for an unknown number of years and before even that it somehow ended up in the Milky Way without her crew after a hyperspace accident. The ship profile didn't match any records in the galactic database and though the technology wasn’t too advanced compared to the majority of the galaxy it didn’t match any known races tech. Though its adaptive armor did manage to impress even Azmuth himself not for the technology used to make it but for how any race could make anything that durable and effective with technology that primitive.
To quote Azmuth.‘The entire ship is the epitome of the phrase crude but effective.’
Ben had taken a liking to it when he had stumbled across it on a mission. He had to take refuge inside the ship and had managed to fire up the ship's weapons systems to help him fight off his pursuers till the watch timed back in. He had at first believed it to be some sort of abandoned outpost. It wasn't till afterward when he had returned to inspect the facility. They had learned that it was a half buried spaceship. The ship itself needed little more than new fuel rods and coolant for her reactors to make her space worthy once again. It took a lot more work to make her anything other than just space worthy. To say the interior of the ship was a wreck was a bit of an understatement an unfathomable number of years would do a lot of damage to any structure but apparently at more than one point some form of animal had managed to find its way aboard and tried to make the place its home. Mostly it just made a huge mess and died off in a few generations, but it was nothing a little hard work elbow grease and alien technology couldn't fix. He had converted the port side frigate Bay into a makeshift garage. Adding a top of the line training room and converting the large scale mess hall into a rec room they then automated most of the ship systems to the point that only a few robots. Like the ship's caretaker and old Tom communication Droid we're needed to crew the ship however due to this the majority of this ship was left empty. So, in theory, in a time of emergency this ship could be used as a lifeboat to evacuate large numbers of civilians or to carry large amounts of supplies into hazardous areas. In reality, it was just a maze of empty rooms but regardless of this, the ship was home.
“Oh, you are back already from your first day. Good, I assumed there were no major issues?” A blue furred cat like humanoid alien with a gun mounted on his shoulder asked noticing the group's arrival.
“Hey Rook. Yeah, nothing important happened, but it was far more hectic than we were expecting.” Ben sighed, tossing his bag to the side.
Only for it to be grabbed out of the air by a mostly silver and dark blue robot. Mostly because its left leg which was strangely rounded compared to the rest of the body was gun metal grey and its left arm which was overly blocky compared to its other was construction yellow. On its chest was a green hourglass symbol AKA a plumber’s badge. However, its most striking characteristic was how beat up the bot was. It had a hole in its left leg, it was covered in scrapes and scratches, it had what looked like a slash mark on its back, and its left half of its visor was cracked giving it overall an old beaten but still tough look about it.
“How many times do I have to tell you not to leave your bag about, take it to your room put it away. I don't care what you do, just don't leave it out and about. If I trip over your bag one more time, I'm going to Chuck it in the matter disassembler.” The robot said grumpily tossing it back to Ben.
“All right, all right Geez Tom. You don’t need to be so grumpy.” Ben groaned.
“I’ll stop being so grumpy when you stop making a mess of this ship.” Tom grumbled before limping off as Ben and the others went their own way.
The next day all the students got their first taste of what a standard day at U.A. would be like. Most of the school day was eaten up with standard classes like math, and science, but towards the end of the day came the part that everyone was looking forward to hero training.
“I.AM.. HEAR! Coming through the door like a hero!” All Might said as he burst through the door. The class fawned over his silver age costume. As he walked over to the podium to make his announcement.
“Welcome two heroes 101 the hero course’s most important class! This is where you will learn the basics of what it takes to become a pro hero and what it means to fight in the name of good and justice! As such today's lesson won’t pull its punches!” All Might said as he held up a card that read ‘battle’ on it getting mixed reactions from the entire class. Some like Bakugo Mina and Ben seemed excited about it whereas others like Izuku and Uraraka seemed more worried.
“Now before we get started with today's lesson I believe if you are going to try and act like heroes you should look the part!” All Might said hitting a button on a remote, causing several panels to slide out of the wall each panel containing a metal case holding a hero costume.
“Find your case get changed and meet in training ground beta!” All Might said boisterously to the cheers of the class who were excited to finally get to see their hero costumes.
A short time later as the students made their way to ground beta All Might boisterously narrated. “You know they say that the clothes make the pros, and you all are prime examples! As from this day forth, you are all officially heroes in training! And I must say I'm impressed by many of your designs, but we don't have all day to admire them so Are you ready you bunch of newbies!”
“Sorry, I'm late I was helping Anselm figure out how to put his costume on.” Izuku said running out of the tunnel wearing what at first looked like a green tracksuit with white accents. However, on closer inspection, it was a full body suit complete with a hood with two protrusions on top that resembled rabbit ears. He also wore knee and elbow guards, a pair of armor gauntlets, a red utility belt a metal respirator that resembled a large, toothed smile, and of course his signature red sneakers.
(A.N. Basically it's a hybrid of his first two costumes with the Mark One outfit of his costume with the Mark Two guards and equipment.)
He was followed by Anselm who was wearing his signature red cloak over a suit of metal plate mail with a utility belt and two hand and a half swords one on each hip.
“Wow hey, you guys you have some amazing costumes! Not like mine I should have been a bit more specific about what I wanted this body suits a little too tight.” Ochako said awkwardly her almost always rosy cheeks darkening even more at her discomfort. Ochako’s costume was a skin tight pink and black jumpsuit with puffy boots belt risk guards and a helmet with a large front glass window that showed her face.
“Don't worry about it too much give it a chance and if you still don't like it when you inevitably have to get it repaired, update it then.” Ben said, joining the three.
Ben’s costume consisted of green cargo pants and a utility belt with several strange gadgets one of which to Izuku looked like a gun. Though he'd never seen any gun like that before. A shirt with a black stripe running down the middle under a green jacket with a number ten on one side lastly was a goggle headset combo device. That consisted of a black vizor that covered Ben’s eyes and connected to two headphone like pieces that covered Ben's ears each having a small antenna on them. That to Izuku’s surprise not only resembled pointed ears but we're able to emote.
"Yeah, plus I think the general squishy marshmallow girl concept suits." Rex said getting strange looks from the group.
"Um did I miss pronounce something I’m still new to Japanese." Rex said hoping he hadn't offended anyone.
"Did you call me fat!?" Ochako said angrily.
"What?" Rex said in confusion.
"You compared me to a squishy marshmallow." She said drawing the attention of others.
"Wo wo I might have misspoke like I said Japanese is still new to me but to clarify. I was talking about your hero costume and meant it has a soft and approachable and with the rounded squishy looking wrist guards and boots. Made me of a big marshmallow no insult was meant." Rex franticly tried to explain himself.
"Oh, it’s still rude to call someone a marshmallow." Ochako pouted puffing out her cheeks in annoyance.
"Ok, ok, I’m sorry." Rex said in Surrender. Rex’s costume was more like a casual outfit with a few bits added on black shoes and pants with white compact knee and elbow pads and a white utility belt. Some sort of white and black shirt covered by a white chest plate with an orange and yellow jacket with blue gloves. Along with his ever present goggles on his head.
(Basically, his show outfit with bits of providence armor mixed in.)
“Well, now that we're all here I can begin to explain the day's assignment.” All Might said boisterously only to be interrupted by Ida.
“Sir, isn't this the same city from the entrance exam? Will we be practicing for combat in urban environments?” Ida asked studiously. Ida was in a full body suit of white armor that looked like a cross between a knight and a sports car. Especially with the mufflers on each leg.
"Not today, we will be moving to something a little tougher. Indoor combat scenario Now while most villain attacks you see online or on TV are outside. Statistically, most villains’ actions or fights take place indoors, and over a quarter of the ones you do see start indoors before spilling out into the street. Between house arrest break ins black market sales cybercrimes human trafficking and that's not to mention the more abnormal or deranged villains’ actions. Some of the most effective and cleverest villains operate indoors. Now as for the exercise itself, you kids will be splitting into teams of two and facing off in two on two heroes vs villains indoor battles." All Might said boisterously.
"So just a standard combat exercise?" Ben questioned.
"What are the victory conditions?" The cannon girl from the day before said in a red and yellow outfit that showed a little less skin than most swimsuits.
"How badly can we beat up our opponents?" Bakugo growled his costume was armored boots black pants with armored kneepads a black sleeveless shirt with a red ex on the front. Grenade shaped arm gantlets and grenades on his belt. Lastly was a mask that made his hair look like an explosion.
"How will the teams be divided?" Ida asked only to be randomly interrupted by Aoyama asking what people thought of his sparkly Cape.
“I wasn't finished explaining.” All Might said the barrage of questions having thrown him off track to the point he had to pull out the script he carried to figure out where he was.
“Now quiet down and listen up the villains have hidden a nuke somewhere in their hideout. The heroes need to foil their evil schemes. The heroes need to either take down the villains or capture the bomb. As for the villains they either need to capture the heroes or protect the payload until time runs out!” All Might proclaimed boisterously while many compared the test to something out of a comic book or videogame.
All Might loudly cleared his throat trying to get things back on track." We will be deciding teams by drawing lots."
“But sir is that really the best way to decide these things? I mean some of our classmates have powerful quirks that would be extremely unfair against others." Ida pointed out.
"Aaah true young Ida but unless you are part of an active team patrolling together, you rarely have a choice with whom you work with or who you fight against. As such it’s best to get used to it while you’re still in school." All Might said sagely as he offered the box to let the students draw their lots.

“Oh, hey looks like we are working together Deku.” Ochaco said cheerfully while Izuku blushed thankful his mask covered his face.
“Hey, All Might, I didn't realize it till now but we don't exactly have an even number of teams or members.” Rex said, noticing a four armed black haired girl in a white shirt and red plaid skirt. With a copper metal device on her back and chest connected to copper shackles on her larger two hands. With her larger arms nearly touching the floor. She held the only M ball in her lower and normal sized hands.
“Ah yes, young Salazar because of that half of Team M and all of Team N is going to be made up of volunteers. They will also be going last as we don't want to pick a volunteer only for them to be incapacitated during their match.” All Might explained while the girl just shifted uncomfortably clearly not liking having so many eyes on her. Rex wasn't fully sure why, but he didn't like that and strangely he felt a slight connection with the girl. He couldn't quite place it, but he didn't like that she was so uncomfortable with the situation.
“Well then, unless I get taken out and can't continue, I'm going to go ahead and volunteer for team M.” Rex said getting a shocked look from the girl.
“I respect your drive to help your fellow student but are you sure you can handle this young Salazar? You might end up regretting it if your first match is too difficult.” All Might said trying to reason with the boy.
“I'm sure and if it really is too hard, I'll step down but for now count me for team M.” Rex said confidently, getting a light blush out of the girl.
“All right young Salazar as you wish.” All Might said updating the team rosters.

“Alright with all that settled it's time to select who will be the heroes and who will be the villains for our first match. The rest of you head on over to the monitor room.” All Might said reaching into another box and pulling out an A ball for the hero team and a D ball for the villains. Hearing this Izuku couldn't help but glance over at Bakugo who just glared at him. He subconsciously swallowed, sparks of one for all jumping between his fingers before he clenched his fist his determination drowning out his fear to Bakugo's surprise.
“Now once both teams are in position, I will give you five minutes to prepare.” All Might said handing both groups a set of earpieces and a little piece of paper with directions to the building they would be practicing in. Before meeting back up with his class he was pleased to find by the time he reached the monitoring room both teams were in place.
“All right you're a five minute start now and while I know this is only meant to be a training opportunity you will be partially graded on how well you fulfill your assigned roles. So, while this may sound counterproductive, villain team at least try to play the part of an embodiment of evil. Now that being said if either side goes too far, I will put a stop to it.” All Might said into his mic while Ida walked over to inspect the bomb.
Enjoying this book? Seek out the original to ensure the author gets credit.
“So, this is what we're supposed to be defending? It’s a fake of course.” Only to be pulled from his musing as he inspected the bomb by Bakugo.
“Hey! Do you really believe that damn nerd has a quirk?”
“Well of course I mean you saw his power yesterday. Though I do believe it has some form of recoil issue due to him being a late bloomer. Why do you ask?” Ida questioned trying to be as respectful as possible but still not appreciating the hostility to his newfound friend and in his opinion exceptional hero hopeful.
“Because I don't buy any of this late bloomer bullshit! I could understand if it showed up a year or two later than everyone else. Or if it had some form of sign or precursor mutation but someone just randomly waking up one morning and finding they have that much power doesn't make any sense!” Bakugo said angrily.
“I don't think it's that particularly farfetched he possesses a surprisingly strong physique despite his thin frame and is quite strong without using his quirk. Most likely it's just like he said his body was never properly prepared for it and never had a chance to adapt. Or perhaps it couldn't adapt until he reached puberty. Regardless I see no reason why to doubt him.” Ida said before frowning.
“That being said I wouldn't mind knowing why you're so hostile when it comes to Midoriya. As far as I can tell he's done nothing wrong to you.”
Bakugo just ignored him, not bothering to answer in his mind such a stupid question preferring the company of his own thoughts. He seethed wondering how the damn nerd had tricked him all these years and planned on how to take revenge for that deception. Meanwhile, outside Izuku and Ochaco we're making their own preparations.
“You don't think they expect us to memorize the building's entire floor plan, do you?” Ochaco asked looking over the building's plains.
“Well, regardless at least All Might isn't as strict as Aizawa. He's not threatening us with expulsion like Aizawa did. We don't have to worry about, oh my gosh are you OK you look like you're about to pass out?!” She said finally noticing Izuku’s worried state.
“Well, it's just we're up against Kacchan and he's got Ida as backup too.”
“Oh, right that Bakugo guy, really seems to have it out for you?”
“Yeah, we went to school with each other before U.A. He was always the popular kid with a really powerful quirk. Where I was just the quirkless loser everyone picked on. Even when I got my quirk, I was still just the useless Deku who hurt himself every time he tried to use it.” Izuku said letting out a self-deprecating sigh.
“But despite that, I trained hard to get it under control and to strengthen my body so I could use it more freely. I still have a long way to go but I’ll get there I just have to keep working at it.” Izuku said clenching his fists his eyes bright with determination. One for all reacted to his desire small green sparks arcing over his body.
“So, it's a fight between rivals then, all right let's do this. Let's get in there and show them what we can do!” Ochaco said growing more determined to win this.
“Oh, I don't want to drag you into my fight or anything. Please you don't need to force yourself on my behalf.” Izuku said timidly.
“Don't worry about it we're friends after all, plus I wanna win this too.” She said excitedly, getting a smile from Izuku. Before they could do anything else the alarm blared announcing the end of their prep time.
“Alright, your prep time is over now, team A and team D the timer starts now!” All Might announced boisterously.
“Shoot uuum I’ve got it. Ochaco could you make me weightless for a minute.” Izuku asked, getting a nod from the pink cheeked girl. Ochaco quickly used her Quirk on Izuku letting him jump up to the third floor and force the window open. He jumped back down picking up Ochaco. This got a dark blush and an eep from the girl but before he could register this he had already leaped back up and through the window. He landed as Ochaco released her quirk and Izuku set her down.
“All right we're in but that's the easy part the hard part is going to be finding the weapon in getting past Ida and Bakugo.”
“Ok but how do we do that?” Ochaco asked worriedly.
“Our best bet would be to split up. Kacchan is probably going to go straight for me meaning he left Ida alone to guard the bomb. If that's the case, we might have a chance of ending this quickly. I'll keep Kacchan busy and see if I can't take him down. If I can manage to do that, I'll catch up with you. Meanwhile, your best bet is to try and get to the bomb. Ida is too fast for you to catch in a one-on-one fight. Your best bet is to try and reach the bomb or keep him as busy as possible till I can meet back up with you.” Izuku offered but before Ochaco could reply Bakugo shot around the corner to attack both of them. They were only saved by Izuku's quick reaction pulling Ochaco out of the way as green sparks emanated off him.
“What's wrong Deku you too big of a woose to face me head on.” Bakugo taunted as the dust from his attack began to settle around him.
“No, I was just waiting for you to come to me. Ochaco, you know what to do.” Getting a nod from Ochaco before she ran off.
“What's the matter Deku aren't you going to run away like your pink cheeked partner?”
“No need, I knew you were coming for me just like I know that you'd hunt me down if I tried to escape. A head on fight, between the two of us was inevitable from the moment it was decided we were going to face off against each other.” Izuku said sliding into a fighting stance. While rough, it wasn't the stance of an amateur. Izuku had originally based most of his fighting style on All Might. However, he had come to the conclusion that until he could use the full power of one for all he was going to be at an extreme disadvantage. So, he started studying online self-defense tutorials. He didn't know enough to claim he could practice any one type of fighting style. However, he had practiced some basic moves enough that he would be able to hold his own in a fight without powers. Mix in some well timed bursts of full cowling and this almost made up for his lack of control over his powers for the time being. This almost threw Bakugo off more than the sparks that coursed over Izuku's body. However, his surprise was quickly overwhelmed by his sheer rage at the idea of Izuku standing up to him.
“Ha well if you're going to talk like you're some big shit now I hope you can back it up! Cause if not I'm going to beat the crap out of you yeah damn nerd!” Bakugo shouted, before launching himself at Izuku with an explosion. Izuku easily dodged it with one for all speed. He jumped up onto the wall before bouncing behind him and hitting him with a one for all charged finger flick. While the concussive Air Force was nowhere near the blowback someone like All Might could make, it was enough to send back a go skidding across the floor. Bakugo quickly righted himself before shooting after Izuku who had darted down the hall and into one of the rooms. Bakugo quickly followed blasting through the wall after him. Only to find himself staring down another finger flick that sent him into the wall behind him. The impact had sent his head ringing he didn't think Izuku had actually hit him with the flick itself. He had just fired it off at point blank range. Bakugo started to pick himself up though he was a lot slower than his first landing. He managed to spot Izuku as he shot down the hall away from him.
“DAMN IT DEKKU!!!” Bakugo screamed. Chasing after him using his quirk to blast through walls or anything that got in his way. Meanwhile, back in the observation room All Might, and the other students were watching them through the various cameras mounted throughout the building.
“Man, Bakugo is really getting into his role as the villain.” Ashido said worriedly hoping it was actually an act.
“Yeah, but even with Bakugo using a sneak attack it seems like Midoriya is always just one step ahead of him?” Kirishima asked curiously.
“Yeah, not only that it seems like Midoriya has some limited formal combat training. Though I don't recognize many of the moves as any one style. Even without that, I can tell they're honed enough that he spent actual time practicing them.” Ojiro said watching Izuku’s movements.
“Good observation young Ojiro though I guess I should have expected as much from someone who is already quite skilled in multiple forms of martial arts. Now that being said for those of you who are going to be focusing more on combat or have a more physical and direct fighting style, I would pay close attention to how young Ojiro and Izuku fight. There are always advantages and disadvantages to learning a formal fighting style but even a basic knowledge of one when used in conjunction with one's quirks could mean all the difference. Between catching the villain and saving lives.” All Might said while the fight between Bakugo and Izuku began to pick up.
“Damit Deku stop running and fight me!” Bakugo shouted as he shot into a much larger open room. He recognized it as the central room. Every floor had one big room in the center of it. He guessed to act like a large fighting area. Bakugo landed with a thud his eyes focused on Izuku who was standing on the opposite end of the room. Glaring at him with those annoyingly determined eyes as if he was trying to make him angrier.
“So you finally decided to stop running huh?” Bakugo growled small explosions sparking from his palms.
“Well now, let's get this over with then. Oh, and don't worry I won't hurt you bad enough that they have to stop the fight I'll just beat you close.” Bakugo said launching himself forward with an explosion planning to blow Izuku away with one big right swing. Right before Bakugo reached Izuku green sparks violently shot over his body, one of them hitting Bakugo in the chest with a small jolt. It was not much above a nasty static shock but if he’d bothered checking he knew he'd find a red mark where it hit. Izuku knocked his arm away redirecting the blast. Izuku then grabbed his arm just below the elbow and between his gauntlet he then turned hooking his shoulder under Bakugo's arm, flipping him and throwing him into the pavement hard enough that Bakugo saw stars. Bakugo ears were ringing, and he was pretty sure he might have a mild concussion. He gasped, trying to recover from having the wind knocked out of him his mind struggling to comprehend what just happened but the one question that burned in his mind above all others was, how!? How did the damn nerd seem to be able to predict his every move?
“How?” Bakugo wheezed out as he tried to force himself to his feet not even fully realizing he had voiced the very question while Izuku approached him.
“You should know better than anyone else how much I idolized heroes. That's why I started to analyze them and anyone with a useful or powerful quirk including you. I wanted to know how they functioned and how they could be utilized it was practical as much as it was for my own curiosity. Though it shouldn’t be all that surprising after all it was all in that notebook you tried to destroy.” Izuku said as the discharges that surrounded him grew more violent. Izuku shot forward, Bakugo just barely able to use an explosion to dodge away in time. This was due to Izuku's movements with one for all being quite clumsy as he hadn’t been able to practice with full cowling much. He had to come to a stop before he could make a turn so the fight quickly devolved into a game of cat and mouse. Between the fast straight line bursts of Izuku's charging attacks and Bakugo's midair gymnastics using his explosions as a form of loose flight. Occasionally one would fire off some form of ranged attack with Bakugo explosions singeing Izuku’s costume and Izuku managing the knock Bakugo out of the air a few times with his finger flicks.
“Damn it Deku just hold still, so I can kill you already!” Bakugo growled, only barely able to dodge out of the way in time to avoid another finger flick. Though not fully as it ripped half his mask off and left his left ear ringing.
“No Bakugo, you can call me Deku all you want but I'm not that same weak kid, you got to push around anymore! From now on Deku is the name of a hero!” It was at this claim that Bakugo saw red. It was bad enough he was fighting back but the fact that damn nerd had the gall to outright defy him like that was just too much.
Meanwhile, Ida was trying to get in touch with Bakugo not knowing he’d lost his communicator when Izuku broke his mask. Not knowing Uraraka had found him and the bomb but as she went to call it into Izuku she heard Ida shout startling her. She quickly dove back behind the corner afraid she had been caught.
“Bakugo come in, come in Bakugo oh what's the use he’s not responding. Which means I'm on my own for this assignment which as much as it irks me to admit if I have any chance of passing, I will have to become the embodiment of villainy!” Ida said doing his best villain impression paired with his overly straight and rigid nature came off more humorous than villainous causing Uraraka to laugh revealing herself.
“Oh, there you are hero, and judging by the explosions my partner is currently dealing with Midoriya and in that case, it's just you and me! Unfortunately for you, I had the hindsight to prepare ahead of time. I've removed all the objects from this room, so you have nothing to use against me!” Ida said doing his best villain imitation laugh which was less than effective.
“Hey, Deku, I found the bomb, but Ida’s found me, sorry. I think I'm gonna need your help. He's cleared out the room so there's nothing I can use against him, and he is between me and the bomb. I don't think I'm gonna be able to get past him without a fight.” Uraraka said worriedly.
“All right then just buy some time I'll see what I can do.” Unfortunately, as Izuku said that Bakugo’s gauntlet gave out an audible click.
“Looks like I'm all full up.” Bakugo said with a manic smile forming on his face.
“Since you've shown yourself to be such a stalker, I'm guessing you already have a good idea of how my quirk works. I sweat a nitroglycerin like substance that I can then ignite whenever I want. So, what do you think I could do if I had a lot of it? If they made these gauntlets how I asked them to then, well let's find out!?” Bakugo said cocking back a gauntlet to reveal the firing pin.
“Young Bakugo stop I've seen those gauntlets of your’s specifications, you could kill him with that blast!” All Might shouted in the control room not realizing Bakugo lost his earpiece.
“Damn it I don't think he can hear me?” All Might said ready to dart off At a moment’s notice. Not noticing Ben had popped the dial on his watch ready to do the same. However, he needn’t worry as he said that Izuku was already in motion. The discharge of one for all shattered the floor beneath him as he shot forward managing to grab Bakugo's arm, right as he pulled the pin, shoving it up and blowing a hole in the ceiling Startling Uraraka and Ida. Spotting the two he decided to take advantage of the moment and shot up through the hole grabbing the bomb.
“Hero team wins!” All Might shouted over the intercom knowing Bakugo probably still couldn't hear him.
Bakugo stood there in shock for a full minute before he finally realized what had happened. He had lost to Izuku even if it wasn't in a straight fight, he had still lost. His gauntlets had worked better than he had hoped, and yet he still lost. It wasn't until one of the medical bots came to check on him that he snapped out of it.
“Sir, are you in need of medical assistance?” The small, plucky med bot asked. Causing Bakugo to jump slightly.
“No, I'm fine damn it.” Bakugo growled before stomping off. He was the last to make it back to the observation room. He felt sick seeing Izuku being praised by the other extras in the class.
“All right before we go over the assignment care to take a guess at who was the MVP of this round?” All Might questioned.
“Come now any takers?”
“Well clearly it's gonna be Izuku I mean not only did he hold his own against Bakugo, he also managed to get to the Bomb.” Ben offered.
“While Izuku did manage to achieve the goal of the assignment and granted his battle against Bakugo was impressive. I however believe Ida deserves the title of MVP. Bakugo was blinded by a grudge and nearly destroyed the very building and weapon they were supposed to be protecting. Uraraka performed the role of a scout fine enough but was a bad matchup to go against Ida. I can understand why Izuku decided to face off against Bakugo he was the only one who stood a chance against him in a one on one fight. However, sending Uraraka against an opponent that she had a clear and bias disadvantage against was not the wisest move but other than that small issue in the planning stage. Izuku handled himself quite well and would be deserving of the MVP status. If it wasn't for the fact that Ida was the only one who didn't make any mistakes. He pre prepared for Uraraka effectively eliminating all her advantages and strategized around an actively hostile and un assistant teammate.” Momo pointed out.
“Oh well yes very good young Momo but you missed a few points. Like how Ida could have been a bit more relaxed and how Uraraka was never supposed to directly confront Ida. Instead, she was supposed to just locate the bomb and look for any opportunities. However, she accidentally revealed herself and thus ended up being dragged into a fight with young Ida but other than that yes, you're pretty much spot on. Now let's move on to the next Match shall we.” All Might shouted boisterously before drawing another set of balls revealing Team G as the heroes and Team B as the villains. The entire class went silent in shock at this. Three of the strongest members of their class were going to clash in the next round. This was definitely not going to end well even All Might seemed to be second guessing this decision.
“Well, I honestly wasn't expecting this type of outcome, I am a bit worried about unnecessary collateral damage. So, I will ask ahead of time. Do you three think you can handle completing the assignment without completely demolishing the building if not I will happily do a redraw?” All Might offered trying to be diplomatic about the matter.
“I can avoid using my more explosive transmutations.” Anselm offered.
“And I'll try to stay away from my more heavy bruisers or major powerhouse transformations.” Ben offered as he and Anselm turned to look at Todoroki.
“What while my quirk is versatile it's nowhere near as destructive as you two. The worst I could do is create a small glacier in the building and I have enough control not to do that.” Todoroki said with a huff.
“All right then what about you young Jiro? While you may lack the overwhelming firepower of your various classmates, I'd still like to hear your opinion?” All Might Asked turning his attention to Jiro.
“Well, I don't really think I can do much in the way of damage. I'm more worried about getting caught in the crossfire.” Jiro said looking down at the powerful speakers attached to her legs wondering if they'd even be enough to do anything against the other three.
“Hey, don't worry I saw what you could do at the apprehension test I have no doubt you can hold your own here. You might not be as destructive as we are but if I've learned anything since, I got my powers, even the smallest and weakest transformations can be useful. In the right situations or be just the advantage you need in a tight spot.” Ben said trying to boost the girl's confidence.
“All right if you think I can make it I'll give it a try.” She said cheering up a little.
“Ha ha well OK then. If everyone's in agreement I see no reason to delay any longer. Go ahead and head on down to the testing grounds.” All Might said giving them a paper with directions to another building on it.
The round that followed was unorthodox, to say the least. Ben had started the round by transforming into a short green alien he called Up Chuck.
(Transformation name: Up Chuck. Race: Gourmand. Abilities: Matter consumption. Multiple types of Projectile vomit. Limited flight. Powerful tentacle tongues.)
Ben wrapped one of Up Chuck's tongues around Jiro’s waist before using another two to lift him and her through a second story window much to Jiro and the class's shock and mild disgust. However, before he could set Jiro down Todoroki froze the entire building over. At first, the class thought that Todoroki managed to capture Ben in the ice only to be baffled when Ben with shocking strength pulled his tongues free along with a chunk of ice and the floor before proceeding to swallow it. This act was not only baffling but impossible as the chunks of ice were bigger than Up Chuck's body. The only clue to how he did it was the green glow coming from his stomach. Jiro used her speakers to blow open frozen over pathways and her earphone jacks to listen in and locate their opponents. Ben just ate any loose debris he came across, this led to them getting the drop on Todoroki who was surprised to see them still moving around. As he Figured he’d just need to capture them to end the match. Instead, he found himself restrained by four of Ben's tongues while Jiro charged in with the capture tape. Todoroki tried to freeze them both only to find himself swallowed by a panicked Ben. Ben quickly spat him back out and Jiro captured him much to both party's disgust. The two heroes had a short discussion before continuing up, finding Anselm on the top floor.
At first, they thought Todoroki had frozen him in only to discover that instead of being frozen Anselm had transmuted the walls to remove all the doors and windows. On top of that, they quickly discovered that even reaching the room wasn't going to be easy. Anselm had used the time Todoroki had bought him well. He had rigged several booby traps throughout the halls. Holes opened up beneath them attempting to drop them to another floor, jets of fire, sudden walls of ice, even one of the walls opening up so a wind blast could try to push them outside. If it wasn't for Up Chuke's powerful tongues able to anchor into the floor and walls that last one would have succeeded. However, the most annoying were small land mines like talismans Anselm had rigged the walls the floors even the ceilings with them in the hallway just outside the room, he was holed up in. Ben had taken the first one was shocking ease and proceeded to eat the rest only stopping to occasionally belch up small puffs of smoke from the explosions. Assuming that Anselm had rigged the walls and ceiling with similar booby traps they decided to try and go through the floor instead. Ben used his tongues to punch a hole in the floor and lower them down. It was at this point those watching in the control room finally found out what that green glow in Ben's stomach was. Ben vomited up a small ball of plasma that blasted its way through the ceiling into the room with the bomb. Ben then quickly used Up Chuck's tongues to launch him and Jiro into the room. It was at this point all hell broke loose fire, water, ice, disappearing parts of the floor, waits fell from the ceiling, explosions detonated, arrows formed and shot from the walls, spikes popped out of the floor. Anselm had made the room into a death trap with him sitting in the only safe spot. Unfortunately for him what up Chuck couldn't eat he could easily blast burn or dissolve away. Anselm drew his sword and approached Ben ready for a big final showdown only to be blasted by an irate and singed Jiro, sending him crashing into a wall knocking him out accidentally winning them the assignment.
“Anyone want to take a stab at who was the MVP of this round?” All Might asked boisterously after everyone made it back. To his great pride and amusement Izuku was the first to raise his hand.
“All right and Midoriya who do you think deserves to be the MVP.”
“I'd say it's a close call between Anselm and Ben. While Ben made fewer mistakes Anselm performed more admirably in most categories especially since he was given such a short time to set up. Ben hard countered a lot of what he could do if he had access to more time or could set up larger more powerful traps maybe he could have won. However, his biggest error was forgetting about his other opponent as shown by Jiro knocking him out. So while he performed the most admirably he also had the most errors.” Izuku offered getting an approving nod from Momo. Which made him blush from both the praise and the fact it was coming from a pretty girl.
“Very good young Midoriya! I'm inclined to agree with you though I personally, would lean towards young Anselm because I know a bit more about young Tennyson's background, and know he had prior training before this. Though I do not know to what scale I can say it was highly unlikely that he was going to lose such a simple exercise.” All Might said causing most of the room to look at Ben who just shrugged before looking over at All Might wondering how much he knew.
“I probably should elaborate that all teachers are required to be informed about the basic background of the hero course, students ahead of time. While we do not know everything, we are required to know the pertinent details. From what I understand the most qualified and well trained students would go in order of. Tennyson followed by young Salazar and Anselm. Then young Ida and Todoroki would be about even. Next would be Ojiro Momo and Midoriya. With those three only being trained on a self-defense level. Todoroki and Ida both received training from heroes within their own families. Ben and Salazar have some mix of hero and military training, and both are already qualified in various types of weaponry and first aid. Anselm, being the only outlier being trained by his grandfather. Who I know little about other than he is a close friend and confidant of Nezu himself. Someone whom Nezu considers an equal is a terrifying enough endorsement for me to put him close to if not on par with Tennyson and young Salazar.” All Might elaborated.
“Now with all that said if you wish to know more, you'll need to speak to them directly. As all I've said here today is what you would have learned from if not today's exercise, then the ones in the near future.” All Might assured them before drawing for the next match being team I and team L.
While this round was nowhere near as action packed as the previous two it had to be the most controversial. Halfway through the infiltration, Rex’s goggles which he had been using to track the thermal signature of the enemy team kept freaking out because it could not get a good reading on Hagakure. The invisible girl getting annoyed at Rex asked him if he could try and fix his goggles rather than keep complaining every time, she walked in front of him. Unfortunately, he succeeded a little too well and somehow configured the goggles so they could see through Hagakure’s light refraction allowing him to see the naked girl underneath. The following screaming, smacking and arguing led to their discovery by the other team. Thankfully for them, Rex’s enhanced durability was more than enough to handle whatever Ojiro and Kaminari were able to put out. Unfortunately, Rex could use next to none of his builds in the tight corridors of the building leaving him at a disadvantage. However, distracted by Rex Gave Hagakure the perfect opportunity to get to the bomb. Only to remember no one could see her she had to call All Might. Unfortunately, she did this a little too late as Rex had finally got fed up with being the other two punching bag and had finally decided to fight back. Just before All Might could announce the winners of the match Rex had managed to bring half the building down on top of himself. This led to a large chewing out by both All Might Momo and Ida. Though Momo had strictly stuck to what they had done wrong in the exercise. The only real useful advice had surprisingly come from Ben who suggested if Rex couldn't use his builds in tight corridors that maybe he should get some sort of weapon he could carry for self defense. Maybe even theming them after his builds so he'd have some level of familiarity with them.
The following rounds were far less eventful team H Tokoyami and Asui vs Team C Momo and Mineta. With team C villains winning a defensive battle.
Next was team E Aoyama and Ashido vs team F Sato and Koda. With the only thing of note being Aoyama and Ashido getting scolded for excessive property damage.
The last full team battle by far had the most errors but the least amount of damage technically the villains won even though both villains got captured. With that over it finally came time for the volunteer round. Despite having a building dropped on him Rex was more or less OK. Just a few scrapes and bruises, half of which were already healed.
“All right since everyone else has had a turn and young Salazar has confirmed his willingness to continue, we still require volunteers for the final round.” All Might questioned boisterously, though no one came forward.
“Well, if no one wishes to come forward I'll draw, So does anyone wish to have their name removed beforehand.” He offered knowing not all the students would be able to continue only to get a raised hand from Ben. One of the last students he’d expect to bow out from such an assignment.
“Not trying to be rude or anything but I don't think I'd be able to hold back as well against Rex. His durability and powers mean’s I'd have to use some of my heavier hitters. Even if I went for the lighter weights, we'd likely still wreck an entire block before you could stop us. I only think I have two transformations that would be a decent fight against him without causing a huge amount of damage. I can't really guarantee either would be safe though.” Ben offered getting a nod from All Might to remove his name from the box. The next person to step forward after that was Kaminari.
“I’d like to pull out as well. No offense to Rex and all but my quirk doesn't really work against him, and I'd rather not be on the receiving end of one of those giant mechanical fists again.”
All Might accepted this but refused Mineta's attempt to back out for similar reasons. Sighting unlike Kaminari, he hadn't been injured in his match and had done very little that day at all other than using his quirk to booby trap a few corridors. After that, All Might drew for the remaining team, getting Avaritia and Bakugo.
“Oh, great the two most foul mouthed members of our class in one team they're either going to get along or start fighting each other.” Jiro side as the two glared at each other.
Up to this point, Avaritia had mostly blended into the background of the class. With a quiet but vulgar personality, black hair and eyes, and a similar power to Kirishima, she hadn’t stood out amongst the class. She could coat her entire body in hyper dense carbon armor. Apparently, she could absorb steel or other metals if she could make contact with them to improve her armor, but she had never shown this ability. The only advantage she had over Kirishima was her ability to rapidly repair her armor and form weapons from it.
(Avaritia Crowley. Quirk: carbon shield. carbon shield allows her to manipulate the carbon atoms in her body to take on various shapes and properties. She can also manipulate the carbon atoms in anything she makes direct physical contact with. As most modern metals such as steel make use of introducing carbon into the metal, she can manipulate it as well though to a much lesser extent.)
Considering the large amount of property damage from the previous rounds, All Might decided a different venue than the traditional one was needed. All Might sent them to a large one story maze like building that was meant more for either advanced search and rescue or search and apprehension. Usually only used by second or third year classes but as such it was also much easier to repair. However, since the facility was larger than what the other students had fought in, they were allowed to take the map with them and were given an extra ten minutes to locate the bomb. After explaining this All Might sent them off to get ready for the exercise.
“Um I um never really got a chance to think you back there fo-for volunteering to help me out.” Pandora said shyly.
“No worries you seem like you could use a friend back there and I figured I could help out.”
“Fri-friends?” She stammered out her face turning dark red with a blush.
“No, I mean yeah unless you have an issue with that.” Rex said cautiously noticing her reaction.
“Nnn-no I um it's uh it's just I've not really ever had any friends outside of my uncles found family and even then we're not that close people-people tend to find me creepy.” She sighed looking down that one of her enlarged arms with a frown.
“I-im a survivor of the bug jar event Providence offered to take me in and try and reverse it but.” she trailed off generating a small red portal in the palm of her hand.
“I was quirkless before and well the only thing worse than a freak is a powerless freak.” She said looking away from him ready for the worst.
Instead, she found him hugging her. She stiffened not sure how to react she started to reciprocate when she remembered something that had been hammered into her before she had even attempted the entrance exam. Rex could cure E.V.O.s.
“Please no!” She managed to get out before she vanished into a red portal coming out the other end stumbling away from him and blinking in realization. She still had her powers.
“You, you didn't take away my powers?”
That statement through Rex off as far as he was aware only a handful of people, were supposed to know about that.
“No, I only cure E.V.O.s who asked me to or have no choice in the matter. Or in the worst case on those who abuse their E.V.O. Abilities. If you want to keep your powers and are going here to U.A. I highly doubt you're going to be abusing them. So I have no reason to try and take them away.” Rex said giving her a disarming smile.
“Now um if you don't mind me asking how exactly do you know about that ability it's not exactly public knowledge you know?” He questioned causing her to tense up again.
“I-i almost went through with the cure when Providence started the program my uncle talked me out of it and not to be rude but I'm kinda glad he did. I like my powers I mean how many people can say they live halfway across the world from where they go to school.” She said cheerfully.
“Yeah, I bet that would be useful. Though isn't that kind of against the law and all? I mean I know E.V.O powers aren’t technically breaking quirk usage laws, but they could still get you in trouble if you're caught.” Rex warned.
“Oh, don't worry I have two loopholes to get around that. The first is my power is never really turned off. I’m constantly surrounded by a bubble of phase space and under the law dealing with similar abilities I would be within my rights to use it so long as I didn't use it publicly to disturb the peace. Second, just in case anyone had an issue my uncle has a friend who lets me warp in and out of his backyard. It's only one station away from the school so it's not that hard to get here from there either and it's not illegal because I'm using my powers on private property with the approval of the owner.” she said waving off his concern.
(Pandora Kleiss. Aliases: Breach. Quirk none. Powers: Tear/Safe Space. Tear allows the user to tear holes in reality within an area of effect. These effects are but not limited to. swallowing targets. Teleporting objects. Forming full two way gateways. Implosion and explosions. And severing an object by teleporting away a thin line of material. Safe space is a tear connected directly to Breach it is her own little world and is directly linked to her health/mental state)
“All right well, still try and be careful I don't want you getting into any trouble.” Rex said, getting a nod from Pandora. As he did All Might signaled the start of the match actually having given them a few extra minutes just to straighten everything out.
“All right, so how do you wanna do this the corridors are bigger so I can maybe use one or two of my builds if I'm careful but I'm not going to be much help in these tight corridors, sorry.” Rex offered.
“It's fine my power should be more than enough to deal with both are opponents you should probably just focus on protecting me in case they try and pull some sort of surprise attack. Hmm, you used your goggles in the previous event to find your opponent’s, right?” Pandora asked, starting to walk forward every once in a while having to use one of her larger hands to help her keep her balance. She was clearly not built for speed.
“Yeah, but the range is a bit limited in an open field I can get fifty meters. In a building like this, it's anywhere from ten to thirty depending on how many walls are in my way.” Rex said with a shrug pulling his goggles down.
“That's fine I'll just create portals to help us get around and you can look around with your goggles. If you spot anything we'll head in that direction.” She said with a wave of her hand, a large enough tear for both of them to walk through opened up in front of them Rex swallowed and stepped through. It wasn't his first time using a portal or teleportation ability, but he had never gotten used to them. Though to his surprise, he felt well not quite nothing it was like passing through a doorway into a slightly pressurized room. There was a very faint resistance and he felt like he probably should pop his ears but other than that he noticed nothing different.
“Wow, I don't think I've ever gone through a portal that's smooth before usually, they make you dizzy or nauseous. Or just knock off your sense of balance even if it's only a little.” He said generally impressed by the girl's powers. This made the shy girl blush darkly, her entire face turning red.
“I um thank you from what I understand it has something to do with portal stability. It took me a little bit to figure out how to make my tares so stable but now I can do it easily. However, if I have to make a lot of large ones or a lot of them over a wide area It’s a lot harder.
“Impressive……. Well, Pandora I don't see anything here let's try the next spot.” Rex said, turning to face her.
“All right but can you stop calling me that no one, I, um. My uncle set up a support group after the accident for a lot of us who decided to keep our powers. One of the things a member of the support group said helped was picking a new name to match our new us. Most of the people who did that left when more violent groups like the pack formed but a few of us stuck around. Everyone calls me Breach now and I know it’s kind of odd, but I’d appreciate it if you call me that too.” She said shyly.
“All right then let's go Breach we have an assignment to win!”
“All right.” She said, opening another tear for them.
It took less than a dozen tares for Rex to find something and only another two find Bakugo. The fight was underwhelming, to say the least. Rex managed to grab Bakugo out of the air with one of his smack hands. However, to Rex's surprise, Bakugo actually managed to break one of his smack hands by rapidly firing his explosions. When Rex tried to punch him with the other it too was destroyed by a much larger blast that sent Bakugo slamming into the ceiling. Before Bakugo could recover, he fell through one of Breach's tares. His momentum carrying him into a punch from one of Breach’s larger arms and knocked him out cold.
“Wow not bad you have one heck of a right hook.” Rex said massaging the back of his hand from Bakugo’s blast.
“Ah yeah, I don't know any styles or anything. I wasn't professionally trained like you were, but my uncle made sure I knew how to throw a punch and take a hit and how to use my…… additions to my advantage. He even insisted I take a few mutant self-defense classes.” Breach said bashfully not used to people complimenting her. Meanwhile, Rex had taken the opportunity to tie Bakugo up with the capture tape.
“All right that's one down and one to go.” Rex said pulling his goggles back down to look around. At first, he hadn't found anything, but it wasn't till he noticed the lack of something, did he realized what he was looking at. Part of the wall was colder than it should have been. Rex quickly waved at Breach to get her attention before pointing at the section of the wall. He then put a finger to his lips as he approached the wall. However, before he could get too close it shattered like a thin pane of glass Avaritia charging through. Her hand already formed into a blade, Rex had begun to form his own but before he could get it halfway, she stabbed Rex in the gut. Before All Might could stop the match Avaritia had already called him.
“Relax he has a healing factor I wouldn't have done it like this if I knew he couldn't survive this teach, don't worry.” She said as she turned her attention to Breech.
Normally Breach would have shrunk away from someone's attention on her. Though this time she was mad Rex had been really kind to her. Friendlier and more understanding than anyone she had met outside of her found family. Even if she was right about him being fine, she had hurt her first real friend since grade school. Breach’s arm shot out through a portal her large fist met Avaritia's face. Followed by another and another and another it wasn't enough to even put a dent in her armor, but it felt good plus it had one other objective. Finally, on the ninth punch, Avaritia stumbled backward falling into one of Breach’s tares. Breach opened another tare outside she repeated the process building up momentum till Avaritia hit terminal velocity. She then opened another in the middle of the road launching Avaritia out and sending her skidding across the pavement. When she finally came to a stop another tare opened up underneath her dropping her back into the corridor in front of Breach. Before she could hit the ground four smaller tares shot out enveloping her limbs. Breach casually tossed the capture tape onto her as she walked past to help Rex. Who was just starting to get to his feet.
“Wow… Eh you weren't kidding you got some really amazing control over your powers there” Rex winced taking his hand off the wound a silvery blue mesh having formed over it. His nanite’s ceiling and already beginning to repair the wound.
“Now is not the time for that are you OK? I can take you to the nurse's office if you need healing?” She worried using a hand to open a tare in front of him.
“No, no don't worry about it I've taken much worse hits than this. Mostly it just caught me off guard I'll be fine in a few minutes.” Rex said with a small grunt as he inspected his costume.
“Shoot she managed to cut clean through the Kevlar lining.” Rex said fingering the hole in his shirt. Surprising Breach when she realized it wasn't just a normal T-shirt like she originally had thought.
“Wait your costume has Kevlar in it?”
“Yeah, my healing factor makes me hyper durable but small lethal attacks like that can shut me down for a few seconds. As my nanites go into triage mode to prioritize stabilizing me and repairing the damage.” Rex said as Breach helped him through a tare and back into the surveillance room. Where their classmates quickly brought him a chair to sit in despite him insisting, he was fine.
After reassuring the class and All Might that he was in fact ok. By the time the other students had returned Rex was fully healed and ready to continue. Bakugo seemed almost comatose and unresponsive with his losses while Avaritia seemed to be favoring one side though she seemed to be getting over it rapidly enough. The breakdown for this one was pretty simple as the fight had been a pretty bad matchup for the villain team. With both the villains being the hotheads, they were unable to work with each other and both Breach and Rex hard countered them. If it wasn’t for Avaritia’s quick takedown of Rex fight would have been extremely one sided. While she was praised for her quick thinking and ability to analyze her opponent and figure out just how much damage they could handle. She was warned that this particular strategy would be frowned upon in the future. After this All Might sent them off to get cleaned up and get changed.
By the time they made their way back to their classroom, the bell rang for the end of the day. Izuku and Kirishima both try to snap Bakugo out of his stupor only to be completely ignored. After that, the remaining members of the class broke into their friend groups to discuss the day's assignments as they packed up to head home.
Meanwhile miles away in a dingy bar a white haired man watched as a red and black insectoid like robot left the bar pulling on a trench coat to hide itself. He didn't know who sensei's new tech dealer was, but the guy's arrogant little robots were getting on his nerves. At least the weird trinket dealer they had found sent a Pretty woman to do his negotiating for him. He just sighed before turning his attention back to his drink and picking up the small handheld device his sensei had gifted him from this latest shipment. Apparently, it was a more powerful equivalent of all his consoles and his PC. He’d have to move the data over but afterward; he’d have his fun trying it out. He had to admit it was impressive though. How something not much bigger than a drinking glass could do all that was beyond him, but regardless he just shrugged and got up. It was going to take a while to get everything moved over so he might as well get started.
Dadmight part 2 coworkers and drinks omakes: Toshinori sighed looking at his phone it had been three weeks since he had met Inko the two had been texting back and forth. The topics seemed to very dramatically from stuff about Izuku and his progress. To stuff like the weather and the local news that was till about a day ago when Toshinori sent her a text that she had yet to respond to. Toshinori might have worried if it wasn’t for the fact Izuku hadn’t seemed worried or upset in class. So Inko was likely fine but that didn’t stop Toshinori from worrying why she had yet to reply. Seeing the time Toshinori pocketed his phone. He had been invited to celebrate his first successful class as a teacher at a nearby bar. However, it slightly irked him that they all wanted to go to a bar when he couldn’t drink alcohol since receiving his injury and he had to be careful what he ate. So, he doubted he'd be enjoying himself too much. Though that being said if he recalled correctly midnight mentioned something about them having a karaoke machine. It might be fun to sing a few songs and it definitely be funny if he could coax some of his drunk coworkers into singing a few songs. That thought got a small smile out of him as he went to meet up with his fellow teacher/hero’s.
A half hour later Nemuri. (Aka Midnight.) Was plastered on two glasses of wine and was doing a surprisingly good rendition of two robots in love. Apparently, some chemical in her bloodstream that made her immune to her own quirk did not mix well with something in the wine. Rendering her surprising tolerance for alcohol mute. Witch was why she mostly stuck with beer but finding out the bar stocked her favorite brand had her throwing caution to the wind. Toshinori would have been worried about someone trying to take advantage of her in this state. However, his fears were quickly proven unfounded. As Hizashi (aka Present Mic) and Aizawa (aka Eraser Head.) Were apparently rather protective of their longtime friend and colleague and were already keeping an eye on her. Meanwhile, He Thirteen and Sementtos the only other none drinkers in the group were chatting amiably. Though he couldn’t help but occasionally glance down at his phone.
“Is something wrong Toshinori you keep checking your phone like you are worried about something?” Thirteen asked after probably his fifth time of not so subtly checking his phone.
“Oh yeah, it’s just. I’ve been expecting to hear from someone since yesterday, but they haven’t messaged me back. I’m just being a worrywart is all.” Toshinori sighed.
“Ahh well, it’s nice to know even the great Allmight can have relationship troubles like the rest of us.” Sementtos teased. Making Toshinori nearly choke on his drink while his face turned a bright red. While Thirteen just chuckled at his reaction.
“It’s not like that were just friends.” Toshinori sputtered out while not managing to convince either of them.
“Sure, sure, we believe you, but can you at least tell us if he or she is someone we know.” Cementoss said in a tone that made it very clear he didn’t believe what Toshinori had said.
After a short coughing fit Toshinori wiped his mouth before saying. “Fine, I doubt either of you know her as she's not a pro like us and that's as much as you're going to get out of me.”
“Oh, come on give us more to work with”. Thirteen pleaded
“No because like I said we are just friends now can we move on please.” Toshinori said sternly before his phone started to buzz with an incoming call. Toshinori smiled when he saw who the caller was before quickly excusing himself with a. “Sorry guys I need to take this.”
“Hey, can you give me a minute? I need to step outside.” Toshinori said into the phone as he hurried outside.
“Sorry about that my coworkers took me out to celebrate my first day as a teacher.”
“Oh, that's all right well I won't keep you long I’ll let you get back to your coworkers. I just wanted to apologize for taking so long to reply. I lost my phone and I only just found it.” Inko apologized.
“It's fine. Have you had time to consider my offer?”
“Yeah, I have I'd love to be able to see the U.A. sports festival live for once and since my Izuku is participating this year I'd love to be able to cheer him on. So yes, I’d love to join you at the sports festival.”
Wreckers corner. Island above. With a flash, paradox stepped out onto the Wrecker’s corner stage he looked around before pulling out his watch to check if he was in the right time and place.
“So where is that zombie?" paradox mumbles as he continues to look around before taking a seat at Wrecker’s desk. He had tried to turn it on the last time he was here, but he still wasn't sure how to get it to switch on. However right as he was about to get fed up with it. A large door opened up and a large insect like creature walked in.
It vaguely resembled a centaur like body type. Paradox had taken to familiarizing himself with the Zerg and all their many subgroups. He wasn't going to work with a member of a hyper deadly race like the Zerg without doing everything he could to prepare himself but even he had to take a second to realize what he was looking at. It was a queen no a brood mother judging by the size. Though it was covered in growing plant life to the point it looked more like a walking garden than the brood mothers he was used to.
"Hello, I believe you are the one known as the time walker professor paradox. My liege asked me to come greet you. He said I would be the least threatening of my sisters and the one you would be most at ease with. As I am simply this world’s caretaker." The brood mother said with a curtsy surprising Paradox.
"Oh, um that's very kind miss um?"
"Flora. My liege is lenient and let me name myself, so I chose one fitting of my love and role." She says gesturing to the plant life that covered her body like a dress.
"Ah well, Miss Flora lead the way." As he said that a potato fell from the ceiling hitting Flora's head. Who Paradox noticed was standing in front of a bucket full of more potatoes that Flora seemed to glare at.
"These tubers are becoming problematic, and I must agree with my liege these leaks are truly becoming a nuisance." She sighed before turning and walking out having Paradox follow her. To paradox surprise, there was more to Wrecker's reality than just the small stage he had seen thus far. Paradox was quite interested in the beautiful lavish life filled ocean outside the glass tube hallway they were walking down before dead ending in a large device he didn't recognize.
"This is a space bridge it works similarly to your own powers. Only it cannot travel through time without special conditions.” She said using the machine to open a portal. “The space bridge creates a wormhole shortening the distance between two points. Though it’s not instantaneous the further the distance the further you have to walk however as we are only going a few miles you should only have to take a single step” Flora said before stepping through the portal followed by Paradox who found himself in a forest in a building that resembled a bus stop. The forest was lush green, and to paradoxes small annoyance chilly as rain poured down around them.
“Well, isn't this some cheery weather.” paradox said sarcastically.
“My Liege seems to think so that is why he chose this island for his home.” Flora said taking a small disk from a charging stand before tossing it into the air creating a small force field umbrella.
“Come along we do not have much further to go.” She said gesturing for paradox to join her under the umbrella before leading him off into a cleared forest trail.
“Part of my job is to walk these trails you know so they don't become overgrown. Though I don't do it alone my leash enjoys taking them from time to time as well.” Flora said conversationally as they walked.
“Well, it is very nice.” Paradox said not really sure what to say he was never really good at small talk in awkward situations. He'd either make a joke or show off a little to keep people on their toes or show them possible futures and his reason for being there. He couldn't do any of that this time because he didn't know what was going to happen next or where they were going. So, all he could do was just follow along and hope for the best. Thankfully it wasn't long before they arrived at what Paradox guest was a house. Most of the building was open concept to the point it had no walls only support beams holding up a ceiling. He could see several rooms resembling a kitchen and dining room and a bedroom and office. As well as another room that wrapped around a small pond in the middle of the building. In the office space was the man he was looking for typing away on his laptop while a red brown and black, Paradox guessed Pitbull snored away with its head on his foot.
“Ah, there you are I like to welcome you to my humble abode.” Wrecker said closing his laptop before walking over to greet the two.
“Thank you for fetching him flora you may return to your garden.” Wrecker said cheerfully to the brood mother who had bent down to pet the dog who happily flopped on her back to let Flora scratch her before leaving. The dog started to follow her, before with a whistle from Wrecker had the dog happily waddling for lack of a better word back over to her owner. Only for her to finally notice paradox and immediately go to inspect him she sniffed his leg before taking a step back and looking up at him. Humorously instead of just wagging her tail she wagged the whole rear half of her body, clearly pleased to meet him.
“My my who is this playful little fellow.” Paradox said bending down to pet the dog. Who to his surprise grabbed onto his free hand with her mouth but didn't bite down instead she just held it there letting paradox pull free without any form of fight or resistance. As Wrecker just chuckled at his reaction.
“Sorry about that this is rusty she was checking your hand to see if you had a treat for her. She'd never bite down on anyone, but she would try and steal a snack out of your hand.” Wrecker then snapped the fingers on his normal hand twice and pointed it into the room they had just left Rusty reluctantly followed him in followed by a slightly startled paradox. Wrecker sat back down in his chair where he had been working before Paradox's arrival while Paradox sat down on a large brown couch. It wasn't anything impressive, but it was surprisingly comfortable. Rusty joined him is second after laying her head down in his lap it was only then he noticed a large, healed scar running down the right side of her back.
“Ah you poor dear you've been through the wringer haven't you.” Paradox said starting the pet Rusty who just snored contentedly.
"She got that from let's say a particularly unqualified vet. Took her in for a vaginal infection. The next thing I know she has a sore on her back then the next day it's leaking pus and a few days after she's got two more. I finally took her to another vet, and they rushed her into surgery four surgeries later she's as good as new except for that scar. Still pissed at that guy though!” Wrecker said small sparks of psionic energy coming off of him. It was the first time paradox had seen the infested generally upset end over a dog of all things. Despite Paradox's displeasure at having to work with someone who chose to be something as monstrous as the forum Wrecker had picked, he had to respect the man who got generally mad for his faithful companion. Paradox petted the dog. Who only snorted before continuing to snore rather loudly.
“Anyways the reason I brought you here is to discuss the increase in dimensional anomalies not only in the crossover reality but in my own. These leaks are getting out of hand. I’ve tried using several artifacts to patch them up but they're only temporary fixes. I would like your help in trying to find a more permanent way of protecting both my home and my other worlds or at the very least to stop this flood of freaking potatoes. It's up to 50 freaking leeks at this point and they all just keep spitting out potatoes at random intervals and I'm running out of space to put them at this rate I'll have to make a black hole just so I can have a place to put them all.” Wrecker said rubbing the bridge between his nose.
“I'll see what I can do but do to you pulling so many realities together like you have won’t make it easy. The best way to fix a hole in reality is to let it mend itself and the best way to do that is by easing the strain on the wound. So instead of trying to seal them let's see if we can't locate what is causing them and begin reinforcing the wounds themselves.” paradox offered.
“Alright let's try that then. The first one to open up was the one on the stage we can start there and see what we can do.” Wrecker sighed as he got up.
“Sorry to say this but the older the wound is the harder it is to close it would be best to start with a younger one and work our way back.” paradox said simply.
“In that case, a rift opened up and Crosses universe a few days back, we can start there.” Wrecker said while checking his laptop.
“Whose universe.” Paradox asked baffled by wrecker’s statement.
“Jamison Cross the main character of my forbidden sin story. His universe is one of the more sealed off ones as it doesn't connect to any other universe other than this one as there's no crossover there. So, I'm not surprised you've not noticed it or stumbled across it yet. The only way to get to it without going the long way around is through this reality.” Wrecker said simply as he started to pack up his laptop into his bag.
“Ah, then shall we get going?” Paradox said starting only to remember the brown dog using his lap as a bed.
“Um, some help with this please?”
“Hu oh hey come on.” Wrecker said snapping his finger and pointing off in a random direction rusty hopping up and heading in that general direction. Before turning back to look at them wagging her rear happily getting a small chuckle out of Wrecker.
"I need to finish gathering up a few things and see to Rusty. This world is set up so you can only enter and leave from the stage, and you can’t teleport in or out the only way in or out of that room is the door. That's why I had Flora walk you out. You can look around or head to the stage. I'll head that way soon enough once I get the last few things in order then we can go."
"Very well but don't make me weight too long." Paradox warned before vanishing in a flash.
"Ok with that done I want to go over a few quick things before I go. I had originally meant to show off multiple locations in my Q&A storie but as I still have not got any questions for that and sense, I already had this planned out I decided to show it off in some of my omake's. Next up I’d like to clarify what exactly a E.V.O. or Exponentially Variegated Organism is in this A.U. It’s basically anyone or thing that gained some form of powers through an outside means not involving magic or quirks so to be clear all for one and Izuku aren't E.V.O. Ben could be classified as one as his transformations are a grey area most are existing alien's but at their core their Ben a human. Moving on to the confirmed E.V.O.’s in this are Rex, Bobo, Pandora, and Nezu though Nezu became a E.V.O. through the experiments performed on him, not by nanites. Next, why does Ben use a gun simply and I'm only explaining this because I don't think it will make it into the story proper but it's from the plumber’s academy. As Ben isn't as famous or as old and experienced as he is in cannon. They clamped down hard on them after they were pushed to the point, that they used their powers in their first attempt to pass the academy. So, censer cuffs were placed on Ben and his team with the threat if they used their powers again, they would automatically fail the second try, So after punishing them and making them try a second time powerless where they failed again. They were given a third and final chance along with the warning that if they failed this one, they would be banned from plumber operations till they reached the official enlistment age of humans at 21. As Ben's powers were tied to the watch, he be banned from using it under penalty of law until he reached enlistment age. Needless to say, you don't threaten Ben and his team like this lightly. They quite literally destroyed the test earning their plumber badges in the process and as of such this Ben is more capable in human form. lastly the new rust bucket well I needed a place for them to live in Japan. So, I figured I'd give them a ship I started to try and think of a good ship or even make one, but it was then that I remembered one of my favorite syfy factions the Smotaaw had the perfect ship for the job if a little big. Lastly, the matchups in short early Canon 1A didn't produce a lot of good matches for the added characters and putting them up against each other was a bit risky as well. You only have to look at the crossover to see how much damage Ben and Rex can do. So yeah, it was a lot of 1 sided matches or a few long descriptive destructive matches and this was already way too long to start with. As always, any comments or fave's mean’s a lot, and a huge thank you to those who have done so already. If want to ask me or my characters any questions and have them answered in my Q&A story either leave them hear with the Q&A tag or on the Q&A section on my discord. Well with all that said thank you for reading my story." Wrecker finally finished picked up his staff and went to go meet up with Paradox.
