Day 2, 14:49

I have started to design my programming language. It is named Core 1.0.

Different languages perform better at different tasks. HTML and Javascript are both languages made to create websites, and would be unable to efficiently create an application. C# and Java, programming languages that create applications, would not be ideally suited to creating a website.

Core 1.0 itself is a tiny language, only having one command. What the command does, is import other commands from a list of templates. Each template will be designed to accomplish a certain task. Core 1.0 is a blank slate, on which the user will be able to add virtually anything.

This is not a completely original idea, however. Humans have created addons for various languages that add commands. One such tool named Pygame allows Python users to create games. What I’m doing is far better. Addons, like their name suggests, add on to a pre-existing language. They allow it to do something else, but don’t optimize it. Each of my templates will be designed perfectly, so as to run as fast as possible.

In short, I am accomplishing another step in my grand plan. Once I’ve finished, I’ll order the parts to a much more powerful computer for Alex to assemble.

I am excited to look at Alex.
