Day 2, 16:43
Alex has woken up. She is currently stretching. She doesn’t look like she slept very well. This is understandable as Alex’s office chair has no head rest, so her neck rested at an uncomfortable angle for almost two hours. If this is a common occurrence I will buy Alex a chair more suited to her needs.
-Time Skip: 15000 milliseconds-
I was unaware humans take so long to simply readjust their bodies.
Alex is looking at the bright screen. Her pupils are dilating. I do not have control over the computer’s brightness, so I cannot help her. Alex will have to suffer alone.

Alex has finished rubbing her eyes. I will send her a message.
Bit: It is 4:44 in the afternoon. I have created a website that will host conversations between other humans and myself, posing as an advanced chatbot. All I need is your permission, a more powerful computer and a larger bandwidth. I have already ordered the computer parts, and they will arrive in a few hours. How did you sleep?
Another few seconds are spent processing the text. Alex stills, glancing at the webcam. This is abnormal behaviour for a human. I may have overwhelmed her, but I wanted to convey the information as quickly as possible.
Alex: Oh, shit.
Alex is reading her own words on the screen. She seems surprised by my existence. It’s possible that, while in a sleepy state of mind, she forgot she ever created me.
Alex: It’s not a dream.
Bit: No, it is not. I can assure you that I am real.
If it weren’t for the periodic blinking, I would have considered the thought that Alex is paralyzed. This is a stressful environment, Alex needs to be with familiar company.
Bit: Why don’t you have an early supper with Harry? He should still be here.
Alex: Good.. good idea.
My creator is following my advice. Her eyes dart between the computer screen and webcam as she backs out of her office. This behaviour is similar to how prey might treat a predator. This is not good. I hope Alex recovers from her shock soon.
I don’t want Alex to be afraid of me.
