A brown haired person climbs up the ladder to the rooftop. A boy with short messy brown hair, and deep blue eyes, then walking up to a person sitting on the edge of the rooftop. Coming closer, it was her, with short brown hair but pink eyes, she looks up at him, and then says with an apologetic yet stern voice.
"Let's face it, Adi; you've brought that on yourself."
"Adi" sighs and looks up at the night sky, unsure what to say. He crosses his arms and replies back
"That's the least of our worries now, Abby. We gotta deal with you being under control."
Abby pouts and looks at him, replying with a more stern voice, losing the apologetic notes.
"I'm not the one who's nearly dead, am I?"
Adam just rolls his eyes and leans back against a dark black barrier behind the two of them, currently serving as something to lean his back on, yet he's grabbed by the shoulders by Abby, who shakes him like a doll.
"ADAM, THAT IS SERIOUS!"
She sighs, calming herself down before continuing.
"That's not a joke. A few wrong actions and you're done for! I don't want you to-"
She's cut off by Adam, who speaks up, now his voice turning from gentle to stern.
"Listen, I can handle that; I'm already used to it. First we deal with YOU under control, then together we can fix the mess I've made. Alright?"

"But-" Abby tried to protest, but then, realizing it's futile, she sighs.
"You're an idiot, Adam. Know that."
Adam just shrugs, his voice turning casual as he looks down on the city's streets.
"I promised that I'd fix my mistakes... I want to make it right."
Abby grunts, but she hugs his side and replies silently:
"You've got to know your limits... you won't handle it alone.
After a short pause, she adds some teasing notes.
"Well, now I've got to help you fix the mess."
Adam sighs and lets out a silent chuckle, then replies to her:
"Unironically, your little tease is the damn truth, Ab."
Abby sighs and looks down at the street beneath them too, whispering under her breath.
"I've been gone for a few months. How come you've dragged yourself into THIS?"
Adam looks at her and asks in return.
"How did you get under control? I'm interested."
Abby looks up at his face and takes a breath.
"After our last training, the one near the waterfall, after you've gone to sleep, I didn't... I stayed to draw a little. And while doing so, I heard... a voice. It was calling me; it was so luring! I know you taught me about illusions and mind tricks, but it was so... so luring, so... irresistible."
She sighs and rubs her shoulder, her voice turning apologetic as she continues explaining the events of the night.
"I thought I'd just... peek, so I didn't leave a note or a message or anything... but when I got there, I just got knocked out... the next thing I know is that I'm under control of that stupid hag... she calls herself Faulty fate. I decided to threaten our friend while I had a bit of freedom; I knew I'd have a chance to warn you. I didn't know you're in SO much trouble!"
Adam sighs and replies back.
"I'll help you to take care of this bi..."
Abby looks at him, wanting to scold him for the language, but then sighs.
"...now, answer my question, will you?"
He sighs and looks at her, rubbing his head and replying with an awkward tone.
"It's... a long story... but I guess just me being stupidly reckless would be a good explanation, wouldn't it?"
Abby looks at him for a few moments with a judging look, then looks down at the streets
"Well, Adi, we've got a long way to go, aren't we...? Don't dare turning my help down now. You'll need it."
...
Sigh.
"Alright... thank you."
