The Tales of a Reincarnated Magician
A magician is always a magician

A magician is always a magician

I awoke from my slumber. It had been two years since my last conversation with Grimm, yet only now had I truly arrived in this new world. But how do I know that 2 years had passed? The reason is simple, Is not that I only came now, is that only now I was the one in control, in the past 2 years , the one controling the body, in contrary of what Grimm wanted, was this body's owner, and I probably know why, even if the souls can merge, it essence can't.

My conversation with Grimm had shed light on the essence of the soul as our very core, containing knowledge, memories, wisdom, and personality. Memories tend to fade first after a body's demise, but during our discourse, most of my memories had already begun to slip away. Grimm's intention had been to merge my soul with that of someone in this world, thereby creating a new individual infused with my personality, this world's person memories, and our combined knowledge and wisdom. However, reality had diverged from his plans. Our personalities coexisted within the same vessel, like two distinct individuals sharing the same space, with the world's original inhabitant asserting dominance over the body. For me, it felt as though my conversation with Grimm had occurred mere minutes ago, despite the substantial passage of time.

Why had I regained control now? The answer was apparent: Grimm had eliminated my counterpart. Some might consider me a bad person for this, but the true is that I don't care about his dead. This outcome had always been the intended outcome of our plan. Now, I had been granted a second chance at life. This time, I resolved to enjoy life's pleasures, make friendships, have romantic relationships, and explore different experiences, in contrast to my previous life, where my sole obsession had been magic.

Nonetheless, a magician is always a magician. My love for the illusionism arts remained undiminished. In my pursuit of this path once more, however, I faced a potential hurdle: the existence of magic within this world. An intriguing aspect of magicians is our innate skepticism towards magic itself. We understand that even the most wondrous tricks conceal secrets, and true magic lies not in the effects of these tricks, but in the artful concealment of their secrets, reason why we dion't reveal our tricks.

In this world, the dilemma lay in the fact that magic undeniably existed. Here, one could exchange mana for a desired effect, and it would transpire as expected. Consequently, the masses perceived magic more as a science than a miracle, attributing its manifestations merely to the existence of mana. Given these circumstances, I reasoned that the only way to perform magic in this world was to accomplish the seemingly impossible—just as we in my world made the impossible appear possible through our magic tricks. Therefore, to capture the essence of magic in this realm, I must make spells that are supposedly impossible, possible.

This realization set my primary task: I needed to deepen my understanding of magic. Since I now found myself within the empire's academy, it was likely that I would encounter magic-related subjects in my curriculum, and the academy's library could also prove a valuable resource. However, there was another matter to ponder. In this world, illusion magic existed, so if a made a normal magic show, people would think I used illusion magic, wich would take away the miraculous nature of the magic shows.

To amaze the people here, I realized my shows needed to be about fighting. I thought if I fought using extraordinary spells that are supposed to be impossible, or defeated seemingly unbeatable opponents, I could truly impress everyone. So, I needed to learn how to fight better. Luckily, the person who used this body before me spent the last two years getting really good at using a sword and aura techniques. I have to give him credit for their hard work. But now that I'm in control, I expect to learn even faster.

I glanced at a clock in the room, pondering the mysteries of this world's technology. They had impressive accomplishments but also noticeable shortcomings, making it hard to understand how they progressed. Putting these thoughts aside, I realized it was late. I had been exhausted after my fight with the headmaster, who they called the Jewel Mage, and that's what had caused me to fall asleep earlier. Now, I was awake during the usual sleeping hours. Since I couldn't force myself to sleep, I chose to take a nighttime walk in the forest.

With resolve, I approached the door and stepped out the room.
