The Suddenly Twins
The interrogation.

The interrogation.

"Hey there, young man," an officer says, entering the room. "So how'd you feel right now?" The man pulled the chair and sat in front of him. "I'm okay, I guess?" Jess answered while shaking because of the intense cold. "Are you cold? You're shaking uncontrollably." Jess nodded while rubbing his hands. Even though the room doesn't have air conditioning or an electric fan, he felt the temperature was low.

The officer went outside for a while and, after several minutes, came back with a jacket, and at his back was his partner. "Here, lad, take this," he says, giving the jacket, and Jess puts it on. "How is it? Warm, right?" the officer laughed, and Jess smiled at him and said his thanks.

"Anyway, lad, I'm officer Mark, and this is Jenny, my partner. You know why you're here, right?" he introduces himself while officer Jenny puts down some snacks and hot chocolate for Jess. "Here, drink this first; there's no need to be nervous," officer Jenny said with a calm voice, and this really helped Jess calm down.

"Yes, sir, but I'm telling the truth. I didn't kill Matthias."

"We know, lad. We know."

Officer Mark leans back into his chair to make Jess feel more comfortable before starting the real interrogation. "So your full name is Jess Salgado. Can you tell me what you're doing before that accident happens?" Officer Mark looked at him with concern while Officer Jenny looked down, telling him that he didn't need to worry and that she'd listen to whatever he said.

"Right, me, Matthias, and Mary are inside this room; we were just discussing some stuff." Officer Mark nods gently. "So what kind of stuff are the three of you discussing?" Jess holds the hot chocolate to make his hands warm. "We're discussing my dreams from last time and the weird stuff that happened to me during that day."

Officer Jenny asked, "And this stuff is related to imaginative anime style? Right?" "Hmm, yeah, something like that, but that's not it. I myself experience that weird stuff!" The two officers looked at each other before continuing, "Did something happen between you and Matthias? Before he died?" He then suddenly waived his hand towards Jess, indicating that he was not saying he was guilty of killing the kid.

Jess shook his head. "Me and Pig are besties; we never hurt each other physically or mentally." The officers look at his expression and the way he talks right now, and they conclude that Jess wasn't lying. This was strongly proven by his other classmates and teachers, especially Mary.

"Jess, we believe in you. Do you know who did that to you, friend?" officer Mark continued. "You see, when we saw you in that room, your friend Matthias was already dead, and his... excuse me for saying this, but his severed head was next to yours." Even though the tone of this officer was calming, Jess felt an intense cold through out his body and cold sweat behind his back. This led to raising his heart rate faster, and he started to stutter as he remembered that exact time when Matthias and that unknown man's head were sent flying at the same time.

"The gi-girl..." he started to scratch his neck, and this means he was too uncomfortable with that statement. Officer Jenny tried to calm him down. "Look at me, Jess, your going to be okay.. alright? Trust us." Even though she said that Jess didn't calm down and started to talk again, "the girl, sir, there's a girl." "Girl?" Both officers looked at each other and said, "Tell me more about the girl."

"A week ago, I had a dream, this weird dream that I kept on forgetting, but now I somewhat remember a little." He scratched the back of his head before continuing, "This girl has a knife in her hand. I don't know if it's a knife, a sword, or a katana, but it's sharp, and she uses it to attack the man." Even though it's confusing, both officers lean towards him, indicating to him that they're curious and want to know what happened next. This makes Jess talk more about the incident and maybe eventually confess everything about the murder case.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

"Okay, listen here carefully. I have the ability to perceive different worlds!" Jess unknowingly raised his voice, like he was excited to say he won some stuff in online games. "So Jess, your telling me... telling us that this fantasy of yours is the real reason for this murder?" officer Mark suddenly got serious. He felt that his tone had become serious, so Jess nodded his head repeatedly.

"Jess, lad, this isn't a joke. We don't play games here." "I know what you're asking me, but I'm telling the truth." Officer Mark slammed the table. "Jess, when we arrived at that crime scene, we saw you and your friend dead. We also asked everyone, and not all that... We checked the CCTV footage, and the only students that went inside are you, Matthias, and Mary! Nothing more, nothing less." Officer Mark changed his tone to make sure to pull Jess back to reality.

"I'm serious, I'm not pulling any pranks here!" Officer Jenny intervened when she saw that both of these men were heating up and might start an argument. "Alright, Jess, it isn't that we didn't believe you. It's like your story is a little different, more or less a little delusional."

Jess tried to calm himself by inhaling and exhaling, and the officers let him calm down. "Listen, there's something happening to me, even though I don't know how or when it will happen." He drinks hot chocolate before continuing, "Every time it happens, there's a rift or spatial space that appears from my left vision. And after that, it will swallow my left eye, and I'll see a different perspective in a different body." Officer Jenny nods her head for him to continue his delusional story.

"In my right eye perspective, I'm Jess, but in my left eye, I'm a kid." "And what's the name of this kid?" She asked. Jess ceased his eyebrows and started to scratch the back of his head and tried to remember something, and this indicates to this officer that he isn't lying but having a delusion disorder, which has bad sides. But officer Jenny continued to ride a long to his delusion, "Then, while inside of this boy, you see who killed your friend?" Jess finished drinking his hot chocolate first, and when he did, he suddenly gave out an ear-to-ear smile. This kind of smile strengthens their hypothesis. "Yeah, Suddenly," both of his cheeks started to twitch while smiling. "Suddenly what?"

"That's her name," he answered, "that's what I remember. A five-year-old girl with long hair and full of blood stains." "Alright, lad, your telling us that the killer is just a mere five-year-old girl? If she's the killer, how'd she kill your friend? Don't tell me she teleported? And who would believe a five-year-old girl has the strength to decapitate someone's head?" Officer Mark couldn't handle it and started to question.

Jess looked at him while smiling. "No, as I said before, there's two of me: the boy in my left vision and me in my right vision." He sighed, then continued, "The one the girl killed is not my friend, but an unknown man. She used that blade to cut his head. But..."

"But?" both officers asked. "But I didn't understand... It seems like those dimensions are somewhat connected here, and whatever happened there also happened here in real time." Officer Mark closed his eyes. "Jess, we're not here to listen to your delusional shits."

"Officer..." Jess eyes turned teary while smirking, "If I truly killed my friend, and you found his dead body besides me..." Jess lean forward and look to the officer's eyes directly, "Where is the murder weapon? You wouldn't tell me that I use my own hand to cut his head cleanly... Right?" This time he gave them a very sinister smile. Both officers skins suddenly rose; they felt a dangerous vibe toward him. Officer Mark did his best to stop himself from punching Jess.

"Alright, lad, we are not playing games. Well, you're right, we couldn't find any murder weapon." Before the officer could finish, Jess interrupted, "It's happening again." His left vision suddenly saw an unknown ball of lightning.

This ball looks like a particle of some sort and is sending waves after waves. And when the wave function collapses, it stops, and he can now clearly see that the ball is spinning downward rapidly. "Are you okay?" Officer Jenny walked to his side and started to rub his back for him to calm down. But when Officer Mark looked into his eyes, Jess's left eye suddenly started to bleed nonstop, causing both officers to panic and call an ambulance immediately.
