Chapter 8 - Movement and Music

Chapter 8 - Movement and Music

“So, you turned back time to save everyone?” Janna’s body flickered with particulates due to her excitement. “I can’t believe everyone died and I didn’t know…”

“You make it sound easy,” Brandon voiced. “It was terrifying… seeing ourselves reformed from bits and pieces…”

“You’re gonna have to get used to such things on the job,” Revive advised, downing a shot offered by Ruby. “The things you can survive with a firm will is amazing.”

“Doesn’t that mean you can… like—” Vera shrugged, scrunching her face when the vodka hit her system. “—can’t you just run back in time and save people?”

“Back to the future…” Austin called it, rising out of his seat and taking a bow as he had answered the question to the universe itself.

Then, he turned to Revive for confirmation.

“Think more Annihilation…” Revive explained.

Everyone’s face turned to confusion.

“You don’t have it here?” He was surprised.

Brandon shrugged. “I love movies so if it was awesome, I would have seen it.”

“Same…”

“Same…”

“Been a while since I had to do this,” Revive extended a hand, vibrating the limb in varying patterns. “Listen to this sound and you will get a glimpse into time…”

It was low…

Almost humble…

Then, everyone realized the sound wasn’t humble, just creeping up on them.

But it had always been there… in the back of their minds, waiting to be heard.

Then the sound of Annihilation was heard in full… a radiance of The X-Dimension.

“What the fuck!?” Jay was once again the first out of his seat.

Revive dismissed his vibrating hand, ceasing the noise entirely, giving everyone a chance to collect themselves.

“That was—” Janna chewed on the word for a moment and simply settled on. “Amazing…”

“Trippy…” Ruby replied. “You mean, very fucking trippy.”

“I’ve never heard anything like it,” Brandon was fascinated. “And that’s the sound you hear every time? Like, whenever you’re running?”

“If you ever hear that sound, it means time-fuckery is happening,” Revive educated the group of Young Adults. “That means, you should grab the nearest permanent thing.”

“Not try to run?” Vera questioned, suspicious of the advice. “I mean, bad shit happens then you make a run for it.”

Revive laughed. “Let me know when you have managed to outrun time,” He joked.

This joke earned a few chuckles in the group.

Ruby’s gaze flickered to Jay, Austin, Brandon, and the others – there was a bit of warning in her eyes.

Revive knew they were trying to extract information out of him but he didn’t particularly mind.

If anything, he was happy.

The fact that Briggs hadn’t shown up meant that Tectonic had refused the call of The Union, making it more likely for the hero to join Revive’s group next week.

“Why hug something permanent?” Janna inquired, genuinely curious.

Unlike the others, she had only just joined The Union and didn’t yet have the competency to be entrusted with a secret mission.

“You can only outlast time, right?” Austin asked Revive.

Revive finally raised a brow at the strange young man. “You’re right,” He said.

“Another one for Austin!” Jay cheered, sliding over two shots.

Austin downed the shots one after the other.

Now that he was looking at Austin, Revive noted how subdued the young man was compared to the others.

Brandon was being constrained by a father he didn’t want to disappoint while Austin seemed to genuinely care about all his friends.

A bout of small talk followed.

Everyone drunk to their heart’s content.

Eventually, Revive introduced some of his secret stash of weed into the celebrations and while the others insisted it was too weak to work on them, they were soon giggling and claiming to be walking on clouds.

“What the heck is that?” Ruby laughed, extending her hands outward as if she was flying.

Even Brandon had a dreamy expression on his face.

“Trans-dimensional weed,” Revive took in a deep breath, spreading the smoke throughout his body. “Available at your local trans-dimensional marketplace.”

“Definitely gonna look for that place when I am sober,” Jay insisted.

Austin and Vera immediately agreed.

“I am so glad I came to sit with you guys,” Sierra voiced, having recently joined the celebrations.

“So…” Revive leaned back in the seat, forcing Janna to shift her position a bit. “What are we here celebrating for?”

“Mourning Barry,” Ruby voiced.

“Also celebrating Ghost Beam’s introduction to The Union,” Austin raised a glass.

A bunch of clinking followed as everyone toasted and devoured another shot.

“Ghost Beam…” Revive’s eyes scanned the friends and landed on the girl next to him. “That would be you, right?”

Janna nodded.

The Speedster gestured for the girl to come closer and when she did, he embraced her in a quick hug.

The group cheered once more.

“Aren’t you married?” Ruby blurted.

There was a lull in the conversation – everyone expected Revive to scramble for an explanation but he simply nodded.

“Yeah… well, not yet but at the same time, I am,” The Speedster voiced, confusing them more. “Chloe is going to be my wife… and she is my wife. Time gets confusing when you’re me.”

“How did it happen?” Vera suddenly asked.

“Vera…” Brandon urged.

“No, I need to hear this,” Sierra also insisted. “I heard Chloe came through for us against Blackstar. That doesn’t sound like the Chloe I know so… I just want to understand.”

“The last time we met,” Revive started to explain, a soft, comforting smile on his face. “She fell in love with my music. She loves to dance and I can sing a thousand songs to keep her dancing. That’s how it happens most of the time.”

Some were confused.

Some wore endearing expressions.

“Yeah, Chloe is an amazing girl,” Austin muttered.

Brandon was quick to change the conversation, not wanting a potential conflict to develop.

After all, Chloe was a bitter topic for the group of friends.

“So, you’re the celebration girl,” Revive turned to Janna, eyes narrowing. “I am a man of many means, more than Utopia. Ask me for anything and I will tell you how to get it.”

Jay smirked. “You’re rich?” He questioned.

“More than you can imagine,” Brandon sighed, recalling the millions Revive left at the earlier office.

Janna sensed the seriousness in Revive’s voice.

“I just want to be able to help more people,” Ghost Beam spoke the truth from her heart before she had even realized it.

“Then, you just need to master your abilities more,” Revive decided, placing a hand on Janna’s head and sending a pulse of lightning through her body.

“Hmmm…” The Speedster mused for a couple of seconds then asked. “Can you demonstrate your abilities for me?”

Janna flickered in place – glowing particulates became her physical form in the material universe, and then she reconstituted herself a second later.

“Like that?” She asked.

“What are they doing?” Jay snorted in disdain.

“Shush, just watch…” Brandon urged, pulling his seat closer to the duo. “Revive knows more about our abilities than we do. His knowledge is impressive…”

“You’re a Shadow Cat…” The Speedster revealed, then explained. “The base of your ability is Shadow Cat. I always name abilities based on the person who has taken those abilities furthest. And her name was Shadow Cat…”

“Was she strong?” Janna asked excitedly.

“Could take him…” He pointed to Brandon.

“Are you saying I could take on the son of Utopia?”

“And win…” Revive nodded and took Janna’s hand. “Let me show you…”

“Your first misconception is assuming that you are just passing through objects – you are not. You are entering a portion of an underlying reality. It is a layer below where gasses exist as solids, hence giving you the ability to become Light-air, which can pass through most physical materials.”

“Light-Air has been theorized but—” Janna’s mind spun like crazy.

“Well, you are living proof it does exist,” Revive concluded and continued. “And I am actually the perfect person to show you this. You want to protect people better, well an easy way to do that is by learning a movement technique.”

“Movement technique?” Janna raised a brow.

She was hardly the only person to raise a brow.

“The first technique you develop with your ability is a grounding technique, then a movement technique,” Revive explained and pointed at Janna’s nose. “I just happen to know yours…”

“All you have to do is hold my hand and remember what you feel when you shift…” The Speedster extended a hand and Janna took it without hesitation. “First of all, I am going to cancel your camouflage… you don’t need it for this…”

“My camouflage?”

“Phase!”

Janna did as she was told and phased but this time, she felt present and not present simultaneously.

Everyone gasped as Revive passed his hand through Jana’s face, coming out the other side as if Janna didn’t exist but she was right there.

Janna was also surprised.

“My abilities don’t work that way…” She stated.

“It does… when you turn off camouflage…” The Speedster explained. “Your power is to pass between molecules, whether you do it while remaining visible has always been a choice.”

Janna and Revive retreated into a world of their own as he showed her the ropes of her ability.

At the end of the brief lesson, Janna was eager to put knowledge into action.

A quick blur of white stretched a dozen feet and Janna appeared where the line ended.

It was Vera’s turn to jump out of her seat.

“Nope, nuhuh…” She frowned on the verge of tears. “There is only room for one teleporter on the team.”

Brandon and the others clamored around Janna and it wasn’t long until they accosted Revive with requests to teach them a technique or two.

Of course, he refused.

They soon sank back into drinks, weed, and dancing.

Janna continued to test her new ability, appearing a dozen feet away every couple of seconds.

Then, she disappeared and didn’t show up for a minute.

“Is she fine?” Brandon questioned, clearly concerned about his friend. “I mean, using your ability for something it wasn’t meant for.”

“All of our bodies know our limits,” Revive explained, downing another cup of beer, trying to drown his sorrows of missing Chloe. “Janna is especially weak-willed so her body won’t do anything to truly put itself in danger… though, she can blur into a wall and get stuck there.”

Luckily, that wasn’t the case.

Janna returned a couple of minutes later with two people in tow.

Revive frowned.

Chloe’s eyes widened for a second, then she carefully maneuvered her body to hide behind Nick.

Ruby was the first to stand, raising her cup and the others followed suit.

Brandon stood, solemnity in his actions…

Kaitlyn stood, a playful smirk on her lips…

Sierra… Vera… Austin… Jay…

Revive was the only person who continued to sit, leaning back into his chair as he eyed the man who had come with Chloe.

“I have never been your biggest fan but credit where credit is due,” Ruby spoke and though her words were a bit harsh, it just made the acknowledgment feel more earned. “Chloe, you showed up for us. It showed, when it matters, you still have our backs like you did when we were younger.”

“YEAH!” Jay cheered.

Everyone cheered and broke into claps after Jay’s loud declaration.

And it wasn’t limited to the group of friends – it was the entire VIP section which mostly consisted of heroes.

“Could have done without the killing,” Brandon voiced, causing the atmosphere to turn a bit sour but his next statement churned the lively atmosphere further. “But I would rather see another dead Darkstar than lose Briggs and Vera.”

“Awwweee…”

Vera teleported forward, wrapping her arms around Brandon for a couple of seconds before teleporting back.

“Thank you, guys,” Chloe and her friend joined the others on the chair and she made it a point to sit opposite Revive. “But truly, I wouldn’t have shown up if Revive wasn’t dying… but I am glad that I did.”

The group scooted to make space for Chloe but not her friend – not without an interrogation first.

“Who is your friend?” Sierra smirked, hoping to see some drama. “I was knocked out during the battle and couldn’t see what happened so forgive me for not treating you like you walk on gold again…”

“You have more gold to walk on than me,” Chloe smirked, lining the glass table with coke and snorting a line. “After all, your father is a pirate.”

Sierra’s eyes narrowed but things didn’t escalate further.

“Hi, everyone…” Nick was excited. “My name is Nick…”

Chloe wanted to slap her forehead – she had hoped Nick would be able to read the atmosphere enough to know that quiet was the best option.

But apparently not.

“Hi, Nick…” Ruby was being purposely flirtatious, hoping to get Brandon’s attention or at least, rattle Revive enough to get more information. “We are—”

“Oh, I know who you guys are…” Nick barely took a breath before he started to list the names. “Ruby, Kaitlyn, Jay, Austin, Brandon, and…” he paused, turning to Revive. “I don’t know you…”

“Strange,” Revive rolled his eyes, leaning forward slightly. “And made even stranger that you wouldn’t recognize me when you’re trying to fuck my wife tonight.”

Nick’s eyes widened.

All the others just chuckled.

“You mean?” The Man gestured between Revive and Chloe while the others nodded their heads – clearly amused.

“Chloe…” Revive addressed his wife, searching her eyes for a flicker of guilt but she was far too high for him to see anything but euphoria. “Have anything to say to me?”

Chloe pretended to think and shrugged. “Nope, definitely not.”

“Chloe…”

“……..”

“Ophelia!” Revive growled, using Chloe’s middle name to show the seriousness with which he spoke.

“Listen, we are fine. Let’s not make it something of a big deal. We aren’t even dating yet!”

“You left me hanging at the campfire!” Revive argued. “What was so bad about what we had?”

Chloe sighed in exhaustion – she was having a bad day. “We can talk about this at home…” She insisted.

The Speedster similarly sighed and nodded in agreement.

“Get the fuck out of here,” Revive turned to Nick and warned. “I hate posers the most.”

Nick stood, making his stance clear.

Ruby’s eyes sparkled with red and the others also smirked, wanting to see what Revive was capable of in a fight.

“He is my guest,” Chloe spoke up. “He leaves when I tell him to.”

The conversation progressed.

Chloe had dimes of cocaine and Ruby, Jay, and Kaitlyn naturally gravitated toward whatever would provide the most promising night.

Brandon was occupied with his own thoughts.

“This music is boring… lacking flavor,” Revive murmured.

“Then you should play something…” A voice suggested, clearly taking offense to the statement.

Ruby and the others stopped talking, directing their attention to the private DJ boot for the VIP section.

“I am curious,” Vera admitted.

“What kind of music do you hear in other dimensions?” Brandon inquired.

The Speedster mused for a couple of seconds before walking to the DC boot – the man already there vacated.

He experimented with the screen for a while.

“Think he can do it?” Kaitlyn asked the group.

“He can…” Chloe was the person to answer. “His cooking and voice are beautiful… and his songs come from the heart.”

“When did you hear him sing?” Brandon inquired.

“Showers…” Chloe voiced.

“Well, goodnight, you useless fucks!” Revive spoke into the microphone.

Brandon and the others raised their cups, cheering for him but some of the people in VIP simply departed.

“I am feeling a bit betrayed tonight so let me tell you why I don’t like humans…” Revive voiced, and quickly added. “Despite being human, myself.”

“A bit of my background… I come from a place where African culture was highly developed so we have our own flavor of music,” The Speedster explained. “You guys don’t really have an African-specific developed genre. So, this might be something new to a lot of you.”

The beat slowly rose.

And it was being honed by Revive’s dexterous fingers.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, one Nation Boss

Hmm, yeah

Aye, trouble dem and a trouble enuh

(Where humility is plenty)

(Growth is a must)

(Nation)

Everyone was immediately captured.

The accent that had always been an unattractive undertone in Revive’s voice suddenly became more pronounced.

It evolved into something beautiful.

His words could be understood, yet it was also unique.

When yuh see me, yah suh looking like me lost, yeah

Me nuh lost, me just a-look inna me thoughts and a-

Pree some things weh people do me inna di past

Nah act like seh, me, perfect everybody have dem flaws

Long before dah morbid ting deh nuff a-dem a-wear a mask, yeah

Watch dem keenly as dem try guh 'round di Boss, yeah-yeah

Loyalty come with a cost

Yuh nah fi ask, yuh know a love inna me heart’

The rhythm flowed.

It was a new type of sound.

Lives were opened at the speed of light and in no time at all, Revive had an audience of thousands.

But The Speedster made it very clear who he was singing to – Chloe Ophelia Sampson.

The Amazon Princess enjoyed the music but didn’t dare to meet Revive’s eyes, lest she break down in front of the cameras.

But anytime yuh heart too big, my lawd, dem will tek yuh fi a fool and

This is why me nuh like humans

This is why me nuh like humans, no, no

And me cyah too trust no girl when me 'member wah she do man

This is why me nuh like humans

This is why me nuh like humans, no, no way

Everyone was swaying.

They didn’t know the type of dance but the music was amazing.

Now the people dem weh style me a-say, "Please," yeah

Like dem waah me figet all di memories

Me forgive, but nuh forget because 'nuff a-dem a some priest

Di only ting, me, beg di Father protect me from enemies, alright

It's a natural mystic blowing through the air, yeah

And if you listen carefully now you will hear

Chloe’s eyes widened.

Ruby’s, Austin’s, Brandon’s, Vera’s, Sierra’s…

Everyone’s eyes widened since they could feel something stirring in the air… a mystical feeling.

It felt foreboding but also patient.

Say anytime yuh heart too big, my lawd, dem will tek yuh fi a-fool and

This is why me nuh like humans

This is why me nuh like humans, no, no

And me cyah too trust no girl when me 'member wah she do man

This is why me nuh like humans

This is why me nuh like humans, no, no

Nick could feel his chance to get Chloe in bed slipping.

He tried everything to regain her attention but she didn’t respond – and of course, he was afraid to push the buttons of Utopia’s daughter.

That was a huge problem waiting to happen.

Still, he couldn’t lose.

Anytime yuh heart too big, my lawd, dem will tek yuh fi a-fool and

This is why me nuh like humans

This is why me nuh like humans, no, no

And me cyah too trust no girl when me 'member wah she do man

This is why me nuh like humans

This is why me nuh like humans, no, no way

----------

The song concluded with claps and cheers.

Revive hopped off the pedestal and leaped over the couches, landing a couple of feet away from Chloe.

“What’d you think?” He inquired.

“I liked it…” Chloe gave a meek smile – a happy smile that The Speedster rarely saw. “You heard it somewhere?”

“I wrote it,” Revive admitted. “Where I come from, we tell our stories through Ancestral songs. I wrote that one when I lost my little sister to another tribe. It was the first time I got my heart broken.”

Chloe was enamored.

Revive had done something she didn’t expect – something she couldn’t resist.

“You’re opening up about yourself?” She asked.

They had been together three weeks and The Speedster had lived with her for two weeks but he always kept information close to his chest.

“I just want to come back home…”

Chloe sunk into her thoughts for a moment.

But things were never so simple.

At some point, Nick had made five lines of coke on the glass table; Ruby was participating in one line and Jay was participating in another.

Brandon pulled Ruby onto his lap and away from the coke – he could see what was happening but he couldn’t stop Chloe from making her own decisions.

“I need a line to think clearly,” The Amazon Princess voiced, hurrying to trace a line of coke with her nose.

And she did so by sitting on the only place steady enough to aid in her task – Nick’s lap.

The Fanboy smirked.

Revive’s body flickered with lightning – the purple and blue arching all around, striking everything metallic in the room.

Everyone felt a fast pace one second and a slower pace the next – their sense of time passing had been clouded.

Suddenly, The Speed Force saturating the air stopped… it was reverse-siphoned by Sierra.

Revive managed to withdraw The Speed Force at the last second, lest Ectoplex implode from trying to process a Cosmic Force as if it was the common electricity running through her veins.

Time resumed normality.

“That was dangerous,” The Speedster warned, turning to Sierra. “You could have died.”

“Better die standing on your feet than begging for a chance from an ungrateful bitch!” Sierra spat, obviously referring to Chloe.

“What did you say!” Chloe rose from her seat, fidgetingly approaching Sierra and sizing her up. “Say it to my face, let’s see what happens…”

“You’re being a pain in the ass, Chloe…” Revive sighed.

“Hey, you don’t talk to her like that!” Nick rose from his seat, hopping at the chance to win some points by defending Chloe.

Revive turned to Nick… there was a ghastly dark lightning glowing in the depths of his eyes. “Unlike these kids here—” The Speedster took on the tone of a wise old man. “I will kill you, bury you, and nobody will find the body…”

Nick smirked. “Then, let’s see what happens!” He demanded.

“Guess it’s time to rumble snorting-nose whore,” Sierra mocked Chloe.

A thump.

Sierra sailed through the club, and just as she was about to collide with a wall, Janna used her movement technique to catch her friend and phase them both through the wall behind.

Still, a thud could be heard on the other end.

Revive’s body flickered and the world slowed but as soon as that happened, a thick sludge obscured his sense of direction and time.

Nick extended a hand and held onto the frozen world of time.

“You’re a powered?” Chloe was surprised.

“Yeah, you know?” Nick smiled smugly. “Nick of time?”

“A weird ass name…” Chloe murmured, then gestured to the exit. “We should go…”

“I know, but first…” Nick’s eyes narrowed as he approached the frozen Revive.

Even The Speedster could not escape Nick’s clutches in time.

“Not a good idea,” Chloe warned. “Chances are, you can’t hold him for long…”

“Don’t worry, I just need to teach him a less—”

The words didn’t get a chance to leave Nick’s mouth since as soon as his hand was placed on Revive’s shoulder, The Speedster’s physique adjusted to the temporal anomaly.

A loud boom.

Nick felt a hand around his neck and the next thing he knew, every bone in his body ached as it met, shattered, and sunk him two feet into the wall.

And Revive was far from done – he had lost a bit of his rationality when his mind realized he had been trapped.

‘Gods can’t trap me like that so it means one of the big guys showed up…’ The Speedster’s mind raced.

Luckily, he was able to discover that the danger was Nick and Nick alone – the Fanboy’s ability just perfectly opposed a part of The Speed Force.

Two more loud booms.

And another…

And another…

The shattered pieces of the wall floated in the air – time moved incredibly slow as Revive vented weeks of anger on the Fanboy.

“You need to stop!”

“You need to stop!”

Revive continued the beating until…

Chloe leaped forward, intending to smash The Speedster into the wall but she trusted her instincts and her body at the last second.

The Amazon Princess embraced her husband from behind.

“Please… just stop—” She pleaded. “I am not ready for us. And I know you love me but I have some growing to do. I just think we should see other people for a while…”

The lightning covered the VIP room faded.

All Jay, Austin, Ruby, Vera, Kaitlyn, and Brandon saw was a flicker of lightning and then destruction.

“You should leave before Sierra gets back,” Revive suggested, spinning and taking Chloe into his arms for a second before releasing her to the injured Nick. “You’re strong but Sierra has a killer instinct that your pacifist nature will conflict with.”

Chloe nodded, cautiously took Nick’s hand, and departed.

“I mean—” Ruby shrugged. “I always expected her to go home with the wrong guy…”

“No, he is the right guy…” Revive replied. “Just for the bad reasons.”

“Well tonight is to celebrate Janna and since you have already given her your gift… allow the rest of us to,” Brandon voiced and retrieved a pin from his chest.

“Brandon, I couldn’t accept—”

“Just accept it,” Brandon stepped forward and pinned the small ornament on Janna’s jacket. “My dad didn’t give me a choice – he pinned it on me as if to signify the choice I couldn’t make… but we dated in high school and I saw the choice you made a long time ago so it belongs to you now.”

In Revive’s eyes, a chain that had confined Brandon to the shadow of his father suddenly became less strict and there was a new smell of freedom to his soul.

Revive drunk more and more… and harder and harder.

The talks varied but at some point, Brandon departed and Ruby – in her cocaine-fueled ecstasy – found herself atop Revive’s lap.

Kaitlyn was high out of her mind and, now and again, her lips would meet Sierra’s.

Austin was switching between kissing the guy on his left and the guy on his right.

Jay, similarly, had two glowing girls on his lap and though he was rough with them, the duo didn’t seem to mind in the least.

Janna sat and watched what was happening around her, and at some point, she stopped rebelling against the mood.

Ruby pulled…

Revive pulled…

Janna was hesitant but the moment Ruby locked their lips together, her will to resist evaporated.

When the action got too intense for the club, Ruby, Revive, and Janna were kicked outside.

Austin and the others soon followed them.

They all drunkenly sauntered down the street, separating the further they walked.

Jay was much more direct, ducking into an alley with the two girls, and then… moaning and groaning were all that could be heard.

Eventually, Ruby, Revive, and Janna were walking down an empty street.

Large buildings bordered both sides of the street and there was no hotel in sight.

“I can run—”

Revive didn’t get a chance to suggest a plan of action since Ruby grabbed both him and Janna and took to the skies, landing atop a skyscraper a couple of seconds later.

They tore into each other as they ascended.

The moment their feet touched the ground, Revive dipped into his dimensional storage, withdrew a thick blanket – his winter’s blanket – and laid it on the ground.

Ruby grabbed Revive by the legs, lifted him into the air, and slammed him onto the blanket.

The ground cracked.

Their lips locked, saliva swapped, and their hands squeezed each other’s bodies with the intent to tear off a piece of flesh.

Janna awkwardly stood by for a couple of seconds, wondering how she was going to insert herself into the action.

None of them were thinking clearly – or maybe they were, but they allowed the haze of drugs and drunkenness to make up their minds for them.

A lightning show danced atop the Skyscraper.

Ruby gasped as The Speed Force touched every inch of her nerve endings, and suddenly, Janna found herself amid the action.

In an alternating world of fast and slow, the ground cracked with the pressure of three superhumanly strong individuals.

Ruby slipped out of her pants and panties with a calculated ease, and Revive’s pants simply disappeared into his signet ring.

Components were aimed, inserted, and locked.

Ruby rode with a frenzy and Revive stroked with the might and speed which only a Speedster could possess.

Janna was a bit more proactive, taking the entirety of Revive’s lips for her own, and with the tingle of The Speed Force inside her body, she soon found that she didn’t need to come up for breath.

The ground shook with the pounding.

Ruby… then Janna… then Ruby, then Janna…

Kissing…

Backshot…

Hardcore pounding…

Cracking walls…

Floating sex…

Phasing through the ground to have sex in the CEO’s office…

Janna was surprisingly up for anal while Ruby preferred to watch and stick to more conventional sex…

Then, sensual sex bordering on making love to each other…

Ruby was forced to intervene a couple of times when Janna started to make love to Revive…

More than anything, Ruby knew how fragile Janna’s feelings were so she had to keep everything within the limits of casual sex.

And Revive was grateful for Ruby’s foresight.

They recharged stamina, talked for a bit, and then more sex followed.

They all orgasmed multiple times that night and thanks to The Speed Force, they managed to have twenty sessions before dawn’s break.

Revive woke up to Ruby’s leg stretched across his body.

The Speedster shifted a bit and Ruby moaned, reminding Revive that he was very much still inside the woman.

Of course, unplugging himself was done in a flash.

Janna’s head was on his chest and though she tried to hide it, The Speedster sensed the change in her breathing – she was wide awake.

Actually, he wasn’t sure she slept.

Her heartbeat picked up as soon as he shifted and the vibrations in her chest told a very familiar story – a story that reminded The Speedster why he avoids entanglements.

Ruby was fine – she seemed to have debaucherous nights every so often since breaking up with Brandon but Jana was the troublesome type.

And Chloe was already too troublesome.

The Speedster flickered and appeared a couple of feet away from the sleeping girls – his Klyntar was slowly covering his body in an Unstructured Blazer.

And of course, the suit had a bit of shame added to it, as if to accentuate the fact Revive had had a night of shame.

“You’re leaving?” Janna questioned, pushing herself into a seated position.

She no longer pretended to be asleep.

Revive eyed the girl… the many red marks he had left on her skin, the stiff nipples that highlighted her need for another round of sex, and the lips that had caressed his body from top to bottom.

Then…

Lightning danced and The Speedster was gone.

‘Another benefit of being a Speedster…’ Revive thought as he ran in a partially frozen world. ‘—You never need to stick around to give explanations…’
