When the next morning rolled in the two decided to continue their exploration of the island after eating a few local fruits they found. Basically bananas and coconuts found near the shores.

Due to the high purity and cleanliness of the lake hidden behind the waterfall. Nero and Deva had decided to purely use it as a source fo drinking water while the water outside in the main lake would be used for their personal hygiene.

After a quick clean up they left to explore. Judging by the sun's position and the arc it was rising. Nero concluded that the bay was to the west. With the mountain at the island's center, they decided to focus their exploration going in a clockwise pattern.

For the next week Nero and Deva had explored every single inch of the island, excluding the mountain. They found ravines and caverns, streams of water flowing from the origin point, the mountain. They were able to rate each section of the island as territories for vicious wild beasts that thankfully let them be.

To the north was a massive horse sized white tiger. To the south was a large boar, east was the territory of the biggest snake they had ever seen. It resembled the prehistoric Titanoboa. To the west were the mostly amiable and passive apes that would rip you to shreds if you offend them. But most of all, neither territory lord would even approach territory at the center of the island for some reason.

There lies something more terrifying than the other beast clans.

Whatever it is, the two let curiosity compel them and made the journey. By first circling the outside parameter of the mountain territory they hoped to get a good look at who rules the territory.

They soon found out and were surprised to say the least.

Packs of prehistoric reptiles, most being as high as the two 6 years old's waists. But the larger and more dangerous of these creatures rivaling the height of a full grown adult. Average standards.

They were colorful and feathery reptilians in nature. Velociraptors.

Alive and kicking and surprisingly not overpopulating the island completely. This led Nero to suspecting a massive underground ecosystem beneath the island preserving a number of these thought to be extinct animals.

"So... Dinosaurs yo?" Deva said.

Nero just nods, "Indeed. Real live natural dinosaurs and not those biological monstrosities created by Dr. Wu.

"Why do none of these predator's attack us and how is there enough resources to keep them all fed?" Deva asks.

Shaking his head with a shrug, Nero replies, "You got me. Let's just look around and not piss off the dinos. I thought I saw a path leading up the mountain on the southside."

"Okay! I really want to pet a raptor and name one Blue."

"Let's spelunker!" Deva cheers as they follow the steep rigid path up the mountain towards the flat summit.

"Spelunking is cave diving Deva..." Nero says with a blank expressin on his face.

"Oh, that's right! Teehehehe!" She bonks her own head, sticking her tongue out playfully.

'Sigh... Deva sure is letting out her inner child even though she is technically an adult in mind and soul.' Nero thought to himself, 'did my 777 years in the void save me from such childish antics or is it just her?'

The two have been ascending the path for well over an hour now and the fatigue is finally starting to set in. Nero is surprised that it even took this long considering their 6 year old bodies. But if he had to guess, then it would be the mana augmenting his physique and easing some of the tiredness. Deva can chalk her stamina up to the chakra flowing through her pathways.

Soon enough we have made it to the flat peak of the mountain only to discover...

"Is that a Stargate?" Nero asks tilting his head in confusion. Of all the things they expected to find on the mountain. A giant bird's nest, a dragon, the lord of the island, treasure, a volcano mouth. But a Stargate?

"I will admit, I did not see that coming..."

Moving close to the large stone archway with numerous runic symbols decorating the face. Nero finds another note written by his 'Mother' while Deva curiously examines the arch by randomly rubbing it down.

You have found the Void Gate!

I want to explain a little about this mystical and wonderful island. The island is set in it's very own dimensional plane that is seperated, yet at the same time connected to a main hub world. Everyone outside of the island can see, but never reach this island and thus dubbed it, The Mirage Island!

Or to some the Illusory Island.

The island is connected to and thriving off of your endless supply of mana and it nourishes the inhabitants. The island is a part of you, but at the same time separate. As the island is nurished by your mana it will continue to grow as will the animals and plants inhabiting it. Any other plants introduced and reared on your island will be subjected to this wonderful boon.

Plant life will literally thrive and fully mature in no time flat. Can you imagine how fast immortal herbs will grow here?

This island is paradise for flora!

Anyways. Without your permission no one can intrude here. Even if they did, what awaits them are a prehistoric giant snake, packs of vicious and highly intelligent raptors, a big white kitty, a piggy, and apes capable of learning and mastering the art of kung-fu.

Your island is not one to fuck with my son!

Now as for the Void Gate? It allows you to step into and visit countless other worlds to explore, gather resources, and recruit people to live on your ever growing island paradise that will eventually become a continent of it's own. Perhaps even it's own world.

But be warned, it's not the most stable gateway but it is more reliable than any other gateway through my domain.

Any other Crossing God or Reincarnation god would expend alot of their own divinity to accurately send souls to other worlds. That is with a margin of error.
