I think that this isn't going to work. I have realized that my opinion that VR and physical rape are not the same thing has alienated enough readers that I no longer want to continue.

I've invested two weeks in this project and well, I can see its a doomed cause. Its not so much that I can't handle the criticism (I don't care that much). Its that I am pissed at myself.

I realize now that my mistake was more fundamental than what is or isn't rape, it was bothering to explore the topic at all. The truth was that the only reason I included it at all was to give the main character a reason to get mad and lash out, and there were plenty of safer ways to do that its amazing to me that I was dumb enough to explore a possible source of trauma that seemed interesting but ended up poisoning the rest of the story to the point were its made itself the central issue.

That was never my intent and I apologize to everyone for my mistake. I will simply do a rewrite with no sexual content at all to save myself from all the headaches.

I should have the rewrite up in a few weeks, same basic premise but property sanitized of controversy. First five chapters will probably be the same, but after that, major changes. I will post more information as it becomes available.
