Darkness, All he sees is pure darkness. The boy did not know where he was; he was confused. He looked and looked but couldn't manage to see anything until he heard a female voice.

"Well, hello there," said the woman.

"Hello...?" The boy was out of it. He did not know if the woman talking was real or not.

The woman lit up the room with a switch. The boy got blinded from the sudden light.

"Who are you, and what were you doing in that dungeon?" asked the woman. She was a bit hostile, not knowing what the boy might be capable of.

"I—" he tried to mutter, but he couldn't remember anything at all.

The young girl approached the boy and said, "You can't remember, can you?" It's like she read his mind.

"It's ok; I got some information about you anyway," she said with a wide grin.

"How do you know?"

"I got this from searching you." The woman slips out a note that reads the boy's name. He was confused; how did that get there?

"Your name is Damian. It's got a nice ring to it." She said it in the most sarcastic tone ever.

"Damian..." he repeated his name over and over again. Then the woman looked at him with a soft expression and said:

"Lilith," she said.

Damian looked at her confused.

"My name is Lilith," she said again.

"That's a nice name," said Damian. But Lilith was in shock he said this.

"Really? I mean, I thought you humans didn't like demons."

"You're a demon?" She was caught red-handed.

"Damn it, I wasn't supposed to say that..." she said under her breath.

"Yeah, I'm a demon, but not like them." with an angry look on her face. "I hate my heritage."

Damian was listening to her very carefully, but he couldn't shake one thing from his mind.

"Where did you find me, miss?" Lilith looked at him and said, "Don't call me miss. By the looks of it, you don't seem that much younger than me. And I found you in this weird magic crystal in the dungeon; some people and guards were trying to get you out, but I managed to slip you away."

"But it was really difficult to get you out; it practically took me the whole night!" She was furious.

Damian looked at her. "How come it was difficult?"

"You had this ancient barrier surrounding you. Took me a while, but I had the spell thanks to my demon heritage."

"I see..." Damian got up from the bed and bowed to her.

"Thank you for saving a human like me, even though humans and demons don't get along."

Lilith was embarrassed. "Stop. You don't have to bow to me; I only did it because you seemed interesting, and I thought I could use you to my advantage."

"Thank you either way."

"You are one strange kid..." She did not expect that from him. "Anyways, want to get out of here?"
