My breath became harsh, my heart was pounding. I rushed towards Ahma, and kneeled to her, a scary slash on her gut. Blood was dripping onto the floor, "What happened?!" I rushed her, she could only utter two words. "Vampi..re.. Lord.." My mind instantly got filled, no.. Not again! Her pulse was gone, there was no saving her..I rushed into the hidden hangout and saw blood pools. Ugene's dead body was on the floor, surrounded by a pool of bright red. He had several bruises and his skin was burnt deep. I looked over, to see Phyhn.
She was on the ground, struggling to hold on to life. I ran to her, holding her in my arms, grabbing that gourd Soren gave me. I gave it to her. She was breathing sharply, and took deep breathes. "Who did this?" I asked her calmly. All she could do was cough. "Ooh... So we meet again.." I heard, I looked up. Pure hatred in my eyes, those same deep red eyes full of death. I grabbed my blade and sliced it across his chest, but he dodged, and did a backflip, snapping. Just the sheer force of his snap was enough to blow me back several meters, slamming into a wall.
I held my chest, it was pounding like never before. I held onto my blade tightly, "Why are you here?!" I screamed angrily. The vampire simply chuckled, "Well, I came here to meet you, but, some people.. Tried to interfere with that. Nevertheless, I still found you." He answered, a wicked smile spread across his face. It disgusted me to the brim, I ran towards him. And in a flash, he blocked with his own blade. A tall sword, it was colored dark green, and looked like it had scales. And, in the middle of the hilt, there was a eye. It flashed open, and I felt a deep pulse in my body. I couldn't move.
He sliced me away to the ground, causing me to drop my blade; I quivered in fear, just like when I was a child. "You're still like that little boy I met 6 years ago, I guess traumatizing you wasn't enough to make you truly fight.. But, I see your hatred, it's more powerful than your fathers." He told me, I froze. I couldn't move, a body paused in time. He walked to me, "I guess you've earned the right to know my name.. It's Nurtha, Nurtha the Vampire Lord." He said, I saw red afterwards.I shot for my blade, and chucked it at him, but he dodged. And, my world turned black..

What happened? I don't remember anything. I looked around, only to see Phyhn next to me. She was still battered and bruised but was alive.I noticed we weren't in the hidden location, but in a house.. My cabin? I got up, looking around. "How'd she know where I lived?" I questioned myself.
I scooted upwards, and noticed my blade was nowhere to be seen, I instantly lost it and jumped out of the bed. I got up and walked around looking for it. And, saw something.. It was my blade, it had half of the blade missing. My eyes widened, did Nurtha really do this? A bastard he was.. I simply grunted in anger, I hated this man more than anyone I've ever met. Next thing I know, I had two healing potions next to me with a note. "If I'm asleep, then these are you!" It read.
I looked to Phyhn, and sighed. Grabbing the potions and chugging only one down. I figured we'd need the second one soon, walking towards that mirror. I saw it. Another one.. Another wicked scar, it reached from my hair to the end of my eye. I held my face, grunting out of distaste. I reached for a small eye-patch I had, it was the one my father wore.
It had a light gold color to it, and in the middle, a spiral of black. I smirked, "I never realized how similar you and I would become one day, father." I said to the mirror. Walking off, I looked to Phyhn, how the hell did she make it out alive? It wasn't something like a normal attack, a whole guild was slaughtered..
Wait, Ahma.. Ugene.. They're dead.. I sat down, in distraught. I never dawned on it, they were so nice.. Only to die to a heathen like... Nurtha. That stupid vampire's name was Nurtha. I grunted, but stopped after hearing slight moans. I looked to Phyhn, she was waking up. "Hello," I said emotionlessly, she nodded. "Did you drink the potions?" She asked.
Lying to her, I nodded. I remained quiet, I didn't have the guts to talk to her, not after what happened. "I know.. You probably feel bad for not returning to visit us sooner, you probably could have saved us.. But, I forgive you." Phyhn told me. But, that wasn't true. Either way if I came early or not, they would have died.. And I probably would have to. I stood quiet, and left. I could feel a sense of sorrow coming from her, she's been with that guild longer than I have..

She's probably feeling the worst now.

Turning away, I sighed with a sense of pity. Grabbing my blade and sheathing it. I opened my cabin door expecting to blow off some steam at the guild, but my eyes scanned the two people at my doorway. "Well, hello there.. Beast Slayer."
It was very obvious the two men were Elves, but.. I had a bit of worry shouldering me. "What?" I said coldly. The one with dark green hair and wore green and white clothing like he was some type of prince smirked. "Ahma Crystal, she was our sister." He said. I paused, a bit of annoyance showing in my face. "She's been fierce and a master survivor for years in this Dungeon-town. But, the day after she told us all about you, she died." The other one with bright red hair said. My eyes narrowed, what were they getting at?
I looked with a bit of confusion, hoping they wouldn't say it. "We have a reason to suspect you planned her death. But, alas. We have to have a friendly conversion with you.. So, follow us?" He proposed, I was not having it. I nodded, however. Closing the door, I walked to Phyhn. "Are you sneaky?" I asked, she was a bit weirded out, but nodded. "I want you to spy on our conversion, do it with the upmost amount of quietness," I told her, she nodded like it was a mission, even huffing a bit.
I opened the door, and followed the males through the village, and a forest.. Where were we going? They kept asking me questions, about how I survived myself, or how I found Ahma. They were obviously trying to catch me in a lie, but, they never did. It felt like hours, but we made it. It was a large, large building. And, they opened the door. Revealing a small table, and nothing else. "We brought this giant mansion just for this conversion!" The one with green hair said.
The red-haired one realised something, and turned around. "My apologises, we never said our names. I'm Maljai, and he's Eicara." He introduced, expecting me to tell my name. I sighed, "I'm Seijuro Akihama." I told them. A small cut of fear striked their eyes, the Akihama family was known because of my fathers side of the family. They were abnormally powerful. Beyond that of a human. Guess that's where I got my extreme genes.
Following them inside, we sat down. The normal but kind atmosphere instantly changed into a dark and suspicious one. "Why should we not believe you killed our little sister," Maljai asked, a deep glare burning into my skull. I felt no sense of fear, "If you do not believe me, ask Phyhn. She's been in Ahma's guild for years, I bet you know her." I told them, a cold voice, covered with trauma latched onto their skins. Eicara bumped Maljai's shoulder, and he smiled.
"Okay, say we do believe you.. Who's responsible for killing our sister then?" Maljai asked suspiciously. "Nurtha, the vampire lord known as Nurtha. Our family tree has had war with him for decades. I guess he's only just trying to wipe the bloodline. I'm still trying to find out how Phyhn survived." I answered. A easy-tell of shock was on their faces, a vampire lord? How surprising, am I right? I tiredly yawned, but that got their attention and Eicara began to speak. "Say we do, believe you.. Would you join us in the war with Nurtha?" Eicara asked me.
"Why go to a war that I've joined years ago?"

I walked out of the mansion with the brothers, they smirked. "Glad to have you in the team, Seijuro." Eicara told me, "No worries." I answered, looking around for Phyhn. She's so good at it, it took me a good minute to realise she was hiding in a nearby tree, camouflaged in green. I did a small smirk, but stopped instantly after Maljai asked me something that caught my attention. "Shall we go to the military area?" He asked me. I nodded, and it felt like 30 seconds.. But, we were there. About 50 Elves were training fiercely, doing acrobatic and martial artist moves that were unique even to me. There stood a tall man, with grayed out hair, a small beard. Eicara ran over to him, "Hey, General!" He said. "Eicara.. What is it now with your babbling?" He asked annoyed. "We got a new recruit!" He said pointing to me.
General fell quiet, "Well if it ain't the Beast Slayer himself.." He said walking up to me, he was a mere inch taller than me. But, I felt like a child compared to him, a rare thought."So, what's his estimated position?" He asked the boys, "O-Oh.. We never tested that.." Eicara said scratching his head. General simply huffed, "I'll do it myself then." He said, "What?" I said a bit surprised. This should be simple, it's a Elf. Those aren't generally strong, no pun intended. But, still. They usually have annoying abilities instead of strong ones, but that was until Maljai whispered to me. "Be on guard 24/7 around him."
I grabbed the hilt of my blade and breathed in slowly, my eyes shooting open. I shot towards the General in seconds, he simply stood there. Slicing upwards, my blade.. It went through his body..! It was transparent.. I was a bit surprised, but his transparency disappeared and he threw his fist to me, I dodged, and lodged my blade towards him again, instead of becoming intangible, he dodged.
I flicked my blade downwards and this time he became transparent, he shot towards me, going threw a fist attack and socking me in the neck with a swift kick. I was taken off guard a bit, but remained on course. Shifting my blade towards him, he became transparent.. And, somehow he grabbed my blade and flicked it upwards before kicked me in the gut, this time it was much more powerful and I was dragged across the field.
Spitting some blood out, I held my blade firmly. I got it now, he has a timer of when he can use his magical ability. All I have to do is attack surprisingly, and consistently. It was easier said then done. I ran towards him, slamming my blade downwards. He dodged, and kicked my head, but I grabbed his leg, swung my blade up.. But, when I sliced again he began transparent, and backed off with a smirk. "Not today!" He said chuckling.
Little did he know.. It was his downfall. I chucked my blade at him, it was swinging so quickly, he couldn't dodge.. The handle slammed into his skull. Knocking him out, I was huffing a bit, but I did it. Maljai was taking note of everything, and paused. "Alright.. I think you'll be a good group leader, possibly group zero." He told me, "Is that like a lieutenant?" I asked him. "OH no! The lieutenant is several ranks higher, the General is just two ranks higher than the lieutenant." He explained to me.
I was a bit confused, and asked about it. "I don't know if you didn't notice, but General was going easy on you, if he wanted, every second he could be intangible, but decided he'd use it every few seconds." He told me, I just stood there, a bit shocked. But, I remained calm and walked to my blade, grabbing it. "You can leave, but meet back here anytime you want to train!" Eicara told me, I nodded, walking off.
During my journey back, Phyhn jumped out a tree and smiled. "Well, that was interesting!" She told me, I just sighed. "You did good." I told her, she blushed a small bit, "T-thanks." She said, although I'm honored a girl blushed to me, she's so short someone may think I'm a pedophile. We made it back to the village, it was going night by this time.
