In Draphendia, phoenixes and dragons reign supreme, revered as divine entities. Their symbolism transcends physical existence, embodying power, wisdom, and balance. Draphendia is a diverse realm where various races coexist, some devoutly worshipping phoenixes or dragons, while others follow their own paths. For those without these blessings, life can be harsh. Humans hold a unique position, mediating between races. Dark creatures, the Hiatus, threaten Draphendia's peace. To combat them, the Academy of Unity trains individuals from all races, emphasizing unity.
In the quiet village of Sung, on the 5th of June in the Sage year, Lumos Obsidian came into the world as a late bloomer among his peers. While other children began to take their first steps, Lumos struggled to find his footing. His parents, Mary Jones and William Ether, watched with concern, always offering him encouraging smiles. Little did Lumos know that he was not their biological child; instead, he was the mysterious offspring of the Monsoon. On the day he arrived at their doorstep, torrential rain poured from the heavens, and he possessed pure white hair and crimson red eyes, as if he were the child of a phoenix. Alongside him was a note and a ring with a cryptic message:

"PLEASE TAKE CARE OF THIS CHILD; HE IS GOING TO BREAK THE DAMNED WORLD FREE FROM THE CURSES OF THUNDER AND CRIMSON... THIS CHILD IS LUMOS OBSIDIAN, HEIR OF "the later content of the page covered in blood.'"
Mary, taken aback, held the note and the child in her arms as tears welled up in her eyes. Her own pregnancy was nearing its end, and her husband, William, remained composed and pragmatic. On the 13th of June in the same village, the couple made a life-altering decision. Two vastly different infants rested in the same cradle: Lumos, a peacefully sleeping boy, and May, a girl with a touch of her father's features who couldn't resist poking her new brother, causing him to cry.
An elderly lady in the room, holding the girl affectionately, inquired, "Did May hurt you again?"
Marry, attending to the guests in her living room, requested, "Mom, could you please move May to another cradle? She's been getting quite cranky lately."
William, after a few drinks with friends, responded to his wife's call and picked up both May and Lumos, cuddling them in his arms as he recounted his adventures and accomplishments as an adventurer. As he spoke, both children succumbed to slumber.
Grandma Jullie, gently taking the babies, leaned in close to William's ear and whispered, "Thank you; you've done a great deed."
The day continued joyously, with villagers wishing the couple a prosperous life ahead.
