I looked at the armored captain as she escorted me from the city. The area around me lacked any sort of life. Any of the crops that had dotted the farmlands were dead. The wheat, grass, and even trees turned black as coal and withered.
"We won't survive the week if this keeps up. The sin of gluttony's influence is killing us. If she arrives, then we are finished."
The captain's voice broke as she turned her head to the clear night sky.
"The sin of gluttony is not evil, she is just odd. Trust me, she doesn't take pleasure in your suffering."
"Sir, I have seen her in battle. She is an animal, no she is the devil. She ate my commanding officer like he was a piece of meat. When our eyes locked, she licked her lips and looked at me as if I was another treat."
My hands gripped tightly around my robe at this revelation. Why did we have to be cursed men and women?
"Let's hurry before we are too late to save your child."

When we arrived at the tear in reality, it was like a sword had left its blade mark through the air. The hellish energy made my vision blurry for several seconds as I unsheathed my webbed purple sword.
Near the tear were robed cultists armed with daggers and they continually bowed before the tear.
A scream occurred as the head cultist held a little brown-haired girl with a knife on her throat.
"Blessed be great Geu, the lord of flesh, and the breaker of chains. I present to you this sacrifice."
The head cultist's deep voice rang throughout the air.
I flung my finger and threads of web coiled around the head cultist neck. With a gesture, his head dropped to the ground.
"Sometimes I can't stand demon worshippers, captain. If you are going to worship something, then worship something that won't inconvenience me."
"So you don't worship the devil, nor do you worship the gods. Are you an atheist?"
The captain drew her sword as the cultists charged with steel daggers in hand.
"Ah another lie of your church, no I do not worship the devil."
My sword sliced through one cultist, and with a spin, I decapitated another with one motion.
We had made short work of these cultists. I am surprised that this captain held her own. If only I could have met her in different circumstances.
"Captain, you want to go for a drink after this is all over."
"This is hardly the place and time for such a conversation. I see why you are the spider sin of lust."
"Well, my body count is pretty high.So..."
The captain scowled at me when those words left my lips.
"Alright alright, I shall go in and save your daughter."
When my eyes glared at the tear in reality. I could hear the screams of the damned and a voice speaking to me. Welcome my friend, are you here to join us in our raid of slaughter? I shook my head as I entered the portal.

Large towers of metal that were black as coal reached the red sky. Cracks of thunder filled this realm of terror.
As I began to walk through the realm, flying imps dove down at me but I made short work of them. Any prisoners would have to be in the tower.
This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.
When I made my way to the entrance of the tower, large wet eyes appeared. They blinked in unison as red flesh manifested over the door. I pierced the door which caused pus to exit the wound. With an upward movement, I sliced the door open. The smell was like an open grave.
When I entered in, humanoid reptilian demons armed with black swords surrounded me.
"How dare you enter this tower mortal! Your soul is forfeit, your flesh will decorate these walls."
This demon roared its threats as it charged forth swinging the sword.
My sword clashed with his as my webs coiled around the surrounding demons. These webs sliced through the demons like a knife does to butter.
Upon seeing my magic, the demon scowled and roared at me.
"The sin of lust, why are you fighting against us. Join us and you can have all the mortal women you desire"
“Thank you, but I am a man that likes consent, plus slavery is so demeaning. If I join you then what people say about me will be true. So how about we end this duel?"
"Glady, I shall use your soul for my enchantments."
My feet kicked off the ground as I pushed back the scaly demon. He roared in his challenge as our swords maintained the clash. The sound of metal clashing filled the dark area.
I staggered back as the demon let out a high pitch scream that caused me to cover my ears. Blood ran down my eyes as my hearing faded.
Before the demon could scream again, my sword launched sticky white webs that covered his mouth. Spiders of ink came from my coat and entered my ears. I could feel their tiny legs inside my head. A voice of comfort filled my thoughts as to ease the pain. In unison, the spiders spoke to me. Get up my friend and slay this monster lest the demon hurts more people.
The soothing chorus of spiders had a healing effect as I felt my hearing return to me. Before the demon could tear off the web, I rushed him and with one motion removed his head from his shoulders.
It fell as the demon's body crumbled to dust.
I looked at a small circle that glowed with sigils surrounding it and went towards it. Immediately light converted my body into energy as I teleported to another room that had bodies chained to the walls.
"Trespasser, kill the mortal."
Small demons with a devilish grin threw blue fireballs at me, and a large demon began to charge black spherical energy.
I dodged several of the fireballs and made short work of the smaller demons.
"You have slain the gatekeeper. I am sorry to say that your time in our realm ends here. When I break your frail bod-."
Before the demon could finish his monologue, I pierced his neck which caused blood to spray out and the demon jerked backward. He grabbed his neck as the sphere faded. Blood went through his fingers as he coughed up some blood.
"This is not a story, I will not stay here and wait for you to finish your speech. Will you tell me where the dungeons are?"
The demon spat blood on my clothing in response.
"You fucker," I sliced his head off in retaliation.
"Please help me, I don't want to die here." One of the chained men called to me.
"I can't help you, but you can help others from being condemned to this place. Tell me where the dungeon is, and how to shut off this place."
"So I am trapped here? The gods are truly cruel to do this to me. The dungeon is through that door. I heard the guards talking about a reality anchor that maintains their portal to the mortal world."
"Thank you, you have my word that the torture will end."
I walked through the door and headed to the dungeon that had many cages containing people that were mutilated, and people whose skin was untouched from any sort of blow. To shorten the search, I commanded my spiders to search for the girl that I was sent to get. Dozens of tiny spiders left my coat and ran across the rock floor.
Voices that sounded like thunder began to scream at me for help. Their cries were louder than any choir, and far from united.
In my mind, I can hear my spiders notifying me of the little girl's location. When I went to her, she was bruised but nothing that the healers couldn't fix. She stepped backward when she saw me with my blood-stained robe.
"Please don't hurt me."
"Shh, be quiet, I am here to save you. Your mother is the captain right?"
The girl's eyes lit up with joy as she involuntarily stepped forward." My mommy sent you, thank the gods."
"No thank me, now let’s get out of here."
I grabbed hold of the bars and tore open the cell door.
"Climb on my back, my spiders will cocoon you. Please do not scream, they will not hurt you."
The child nodded and climbed on my back. My spiders in seconds wrapped webbing around her small body as I began to walk to the door. I closed off my ears to the pleas of the other prisoners as I could not help them.
I traveled to the top and there was a circular room with a large black obelisk that was maintaining the gate in reality. In front of the structure was a demon with a small crown on its head.
"Welcome spider sin, I am afraid you and the child cannot leave. If you escape then my Master will punish me."
"You are polite for a demon, unlike your subordinates who stained my robe."
"Enough speaking, draw your sword spider sin and let our blades of sin collide."
My webbed sword clashed with the obsidian sword of the demon. Our clashes sounded like thunder throughout the silent room.
Out of my robe came my spiders which pounced on his eyes and injected poison in his demonic flesh. I used this opportunity to sever his head. With my mission done, I used all of my strength to cut the obelisk in half.
The tower rumbled as the roof broke off and I vanished as the hell realm rejected me.
*******
I fell on my face as the tear in reality closed and any demon outside vanished.
"By the gods, I will never like destroying these tears in reality."
"Spider sin, where is my daughter!" The captain demanded which almost startled me.
"Lower your volume please woman."
The spiders undid the cocoon and out came out the small girl.
The weight lifted from me as the captain held her girl so tightly that I thought she would crush her.
"Thank you spider sin, thank the gods for you! What is your name?"
"I am Aiden Spider of the Spider Family. Now, how about that date?"
Before she could respond, she and her child fell, their mouths dripping of Salvia.
"Mommy my stomach hurts." The little girl said as she whined while holding to her stomach.
"Aiden, you have such a kind heart. You have prepared a great feast for me." Behind me was a massive golden throne with spider legs as its mode of transportation. The one sitting on it was a slender woman with orange hair and green eyes. She licked her lips as she barred her sharp teeth.
"Welcome, pig sin of gluttony Iona, I presume you are here because you smelled them."
"Shh Aiden, please don't tell me you don't forget the salt. I like my meat to have flavor." A chuckle exited her drooling mouth as she rose from her throne.
"I will take one large bite."
