ch-7 first figth with a lorg

After two weeks of practicing with my new "weapons," I think I am finally ready to fight. My stats are all at 10, and now it is time to assign the free stat points. After a long reflection, I decided to put one point in every stat and two points in vitality. All my skills depend on my vitality, and some vitality means faster healing and less illness. It could also make my life expectancy longer, but as always, I can't prove it.

Today is Saturday, and I don't have class. Also, my family is not at home, so nobody will notice if I go to the places mentioned in the tutorial. Just before leaving, I put on the military clothes I bought and some bicycle protections to protect me in this fight. With this, I check my status one last time before I go:

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

{Regeneration (active) lv4: Once activated, you regenerate damage in your body. The regeneration is equal to (your vitality*skill level)}

{Vitality Store (passive) lv9: When your body's vitality is not used to heal injuries, it will be stored for later use. The maximum storage capacity is (your vitality*skill level)}

With my new power, I use the command to go to the war zone.

"warzone"

[DO YOU WANT TO ENTER THE WARZONE? AFTER ENTERING, YOU CAN'T LEAVE BEFORE 24 HOURS PASS.]

"yes"

I close my eyes as the feeling of falling appears. When I open them, I am in a completely different place. It looks like a forest or a jungle. After a moment of looking around, I start to move and try to find a place to hide and wait until a Lorg appears. This is the strategy I devised; many animals wait in a place before their prey appears and then hunt them.

After some minutes, I found a hole in a stone. It's small, but it is enough for me to be inside. I move some leaves to make my position less visible. Now, I just need to wait.

--------------------------------------

Hours pass before something happens. Even though it's boring, my fear of fighting the Lorgs head-on reminds me to be patient. I know I made the correct decision when a monster appears after some noise in the underbrush. It is 2 meters tall, has black fur, walks upright, and has unnaturally big fangs and claws. After seeing this monster, my fear increases, and I am absolutely still, not even moving an eyelid. After the monster turns its back on me, I decide to slowly prepare to attack. It takes me just an instant to strike the monster's head with my hammer. The monster falls down, but I don't stop. With my survival axe, I hit the Lorg in the neck, and I don't stop until a message appears:

[YOU HAVE KILLED A LORG. COINS: +3]

With this, I know I have succeeded in killing it. I look up at the dark blue sky of the war zone and celebrate in silence, unaware that another Lorg has appeared behind me.

I only notice it when a claw hits me in my arm, sending me flying several meters. I quickly use my survival knife and try to strike the Lorg, but it is faster than me and hits me in the chest. With a claw inside my chest, I fall down and panic. I use all the vitality I have and activate {Regeneration} to heal my wounds. At the same time, I pretend to be dead, waiting for an opportunity to attack or at least run away. When the Lorg lowers its head, I use the knife to stab it in the eye. After that, I run and retrieve the axe I dropped when I was thrown a few seconds ago.

After taking the axe, I dodge the Lorg's claws with only some scratches and attack its neck. However, the monster dodges and bites my arm. I decide to hit the knife that is in its eye with my fist, then take the knife and stab its other eye. The Lorg stops biting me. I wait until my arm heals, seeing that the Lorg can't locate me. With this chance, I wait until the Lorg gets close and then strike its neck with the axe and the knife at the same time. It only takes a few seconds before the Lorg dies.

[YOU HAVE KILLED A LORG. COINS: +3]

It gave the same amount of coins, which means that if I hadn't ambushed the first Lorg, it could have been a hard fight like this one. But there is no time to think. I don't want to fight a Lorg head-on again, so I return to my hiding place.
