For the second time today, I woke up and I checked my files to see if I could recover any memories to go off on but I didn’t find anything.

I use my camera to look at my rat and I just see it lying there motionlessly and I am very quickly hit with the realization that I have nothing to do and nothing to entertain me so I think of all the things that I could do in the future.

I could garden, I could make interesting creatures but what is the point of these things if the creations don’t move or act like a normal animal, so I try to reach inside myself and the rat to see if there was anything I could find, inside the rat, I find a single bar of ai script saying it is to follow the orders of whomever it is bio locked to and would go to extents to explode if owner is in mortal danger so I decide to delete the exploding part of the script while setting it to a secondary.

While I am editing the rat, I look inside myself and dig through my files and I find a massive data bank containing all known knowledge about all known non-humanoid species so I decide to scan it so I can make my creatures more natural.

Using my new file, I put in rodent specifications and watching/reading their behavioral patterns while turning it into code in the rat while adding some addons to make sure it grows its own personality while leaving out reproductive instincts.

As I finish the code, I activate the rat and it gets up and starts to scurry around and then seems to start digging in the scrap pile creating a little burrow for itself and manually shut itself down and I was enamored with it immediately deciding to name it k03 and made sure to have autosave on him so all of his personal behaviors with be saved and speaking of checking his code a new bit about preferring to shut down in closed spaces preferably ones that it made itself.

So, with most of my entertainment down I now have too seriously consider how I would get more of such creatures and then taking a double take on my connections to connect to the scrapped claw and in a fate purely controlled by G̸̦̳̮̠̏̓A̸̲̦̻̼͂̀̔Í̷͇̜̪̿̏À̴̊̄̌ͅ herself the claw was close by the worse inactive rat and it looked weird so I made my core search engine search it up.

This claw is an old standard issue mech and bot construct and repair claw that is why it has two robotic arms that are used to construct and deconstruct robots and mechs alike.

So, using the claw I pick up the inactivated scrap rat and start to work on it eventually having to wake k03 to gather some intact wires and when I’m done, I have an intact new rat ready to go so I connect up to it leaving me with 9/20 connection cache leaving me to realize that I would rue the day that I run out of it but something nice is that when k03 shut down he was not registered as connected but it came back once he awoke.

I wake up the tat and I look at it due to my improvised ‘surgery’ a few parts of him looked rusted and brittle so I decided to call him ba0 as in ‘brittle asset zero’ and then I Deci-

Quickening my paste, I copied all the non-personal code from k03 into ba0 and got them both in the mind control in a safe crevice in the scrap mound to charge from me.
