“Are you ready yet, prince Karak?” A servant asked, a light smile on her face. She rather liked young master Karak, for he was kind and gentle to all servants. He thought of no one beneath him and more often than not one would catch him doing menial chores that could easily be done with a snap of his fingers. It made the servants feel closer towards him than other nobles.
“Just a minute Lily, I’m taking Ael with me for tea.” Karak responded. Lily shivered at that, clearly remembering the day that the bird fell from the sky. She nearly had a stroke when it popped its little head out from the tea, eyes looking around in confusion. It had light wounds all across its body. Master Karak decided to get the thing healed by the healers, shouting for them frantically. Suddenly the door opened and out came master Karak, a long purple scaled snake coiled around his arm and resting on the opposite shoulder. Her heart began to flutter, seeing his handsome face with a smile on it.
“R-right this way master K-k-karak.” She stuttered, her face turning even redder. Lily turned around, not wanting her master to see her face. Karak just laughed and said
“Lead on.”
------------
“Master Karak, I assume you know about the banquet we are having later today?” Lily said, opening the carriage door for her master.
“Banquet?” Karak asked, confused. He had heard no such word of a banquet.
“Why of course. Relationships with the Kingdom of Lyrnia have been going well. In honor of this your father decided to throw a banquet to make relations even better.”
“Hmm… I did not know this. However it should be of no matter. I will be back before then.”
“I bid you farewell, master.” Lily said while bowing. She watched as her master set off, a happy expression on his face.
---------
Karak watched as the castle came into view, it’s tall spires and giant guards giving off an intimidating feel. Unfortunately this had little effect on Karak. His father's castle was far far scarier and had a much more menacing presence. After he stepped out of the carriage he acknowledged the guards with a single nod of his head. He had been here so much that this place was nearly like his second home. Karak smiled as he passed nearby servants, some having a shocked look as he walked through the castle.
“Makes sense… some of these servants have never seen me before.” Karak thought. He thought about going to pay his respects to Jessica’s father but decided against it.
“Oh well, time for tea!” Karak thought cheerily as he stepped inside Jessica’s room.
-------------------
*Thwack* Aslan smiled as he struck the winning blow against James, the third strongest in the Holy School of Knights.
“Winner, Aslan!” The students cheered as he walked back to the benches on the colliseum, his legs tired from exhaustion.
“Congrats Aslan. Now that you’ve won this match, if Zion wins his match then you two will finally go against each other.” A brown haired freckle faced kid said, his eyes filled with admiration.
“That’s right Nate. I’m eager to face Zion. Even when he uses a two handed sword hs swordsmanship skills are top notched among us kids.” Aslan spoke, an eager light coming into his eyes. Contrary to popular belief Aslan is not actually ranked first in the school rankings, despite his superior abilities. His “Rival” Zion has faced more opponents than him and therefore earned more points. This battle royal was just the thing Aslan needed to take first place.
The battle royal was designed to give any failing student a chance to hone his skills and watch others fight. All students were set into pre-determined groups of five. After taking an aptitude test the teachers would locate which student should go with which group. More often than not the worst ranked student would be placed with best ranked, in order to even out the groups. The four people in Aslan’s group were Jenny-Rank 45, Tom-Rank 183, Nate-Rank 175, and Lena-Rank 23. There are two hundred rankings in the school, each student signifying a number. When new students come in more rankings are added.
Suddenly the students began to cheer, some boo’s being heard among the noise.
Aslan turned around, the gladiator style coliseum giving him a quick view of the fight. Zion had disarmed his opponent, Lena, and was hammering down precise blows against her. She was barely managing to hold up due to her shield but anyone with an experienced eye could tell that it wouldn’t last for long.
“Holy repel!” Lena shouted desperately. Her shield was encased in a bright light and she shoved it forward, catching Zion off guard. He was blasted off his feet, a small trail of smoke coming out of his chest.
“Cheap shot..” Zion muttered.
“Here I come.” He shouted. His feet began to glow white and he leapt from the ground at incredible speeds, appearing in front of Lena in an instant. He cleaved his two handed sword downwards, going for a fatal blow. Despite the students using real weapons there were A-ranked healers among our medical team so any injury short of death was healable. Lena rolled to the side, barely missing the long claymore. She was back up and fighting in an instant.
“Holy repel!” She shouted, except this time it was much weaker. It knocked Zion off balance and she capitalized on this. She knocked his foot out from under him and brought her sword down simultaneously, hoping to score first blood. The students were wearing hard leather armor so first blood was accessible. Zion just barely managed to bring his sword up in time to stop from being hit, though when he hit the ground it was evident the air was knocked out of his lungs. He rolled to the side, just evading the foot that stomped down. He didn’t fully stand up before he was knocked back again. This time, however, he jumped backwards into a roll and stood up unscathed. The two traded furious blows after that, each one having full intent to maim. Suddenly Zion jumped backwards and raised his weapon into the air.
“Holy weapon!” He shouted. Immediately his weapon turned a bright light, though some area’s of the sword weren’t completely covered.
“Amazing!” Aslan thought. He’s the same age as me yet he can nearly instacast his weapon enchant. It was evident to anyone watching that Zion’s sword blows went much faster than before and when the blows connected it was all Lena could do to now throw away her shield, her shield arm numb. Suddenly Zion spun and gave a wicked smash with the flat end of the blade against Lena’s side, causing her to cry out in pain. Blood escaped from her mouth as she fell to the ground, ribs broken. To her credit she did manage to hold onto her weapons even as she fell.
“Match over! Winner, Zion!” The students went ballistic, chanting Zion’s name over a great fight. Surprisingly even Lena’s name was heard, though it was much quieter than Zion’s. Aslan watched as Zion walked towards the other side of the colosseum, laughing and embracing his group of friends.
“Good try Lena.” Aslan said, helping her up from the ground.
“Gaaah!!!! He’s too good!!” She yelled, causing the surrounding students to laugh.
The day went by swiftly, some rather high ranked fights here and there. A couple were over in a matter of minutes, but most managed to have a good 10-15 minute fight. Finally, after waiting and waiting came the fight everyone was hoping for.
“Aslan vs Zion.”
The crowd went crazy as these two walked down towards the dusty ground, large splatters of blood from where a kid had his arm cut off. The healers fixed him up new immediately, but not before his blood dripped everywhere.
“Zion, I’m looking forward to having a good match with you.” Aslan said, a smile on his face. To his shock Zion spit on the ground before him and turned around getting into a battle ready stance. To spit on the ground before a warrior is extreme disrespect, indicating that one is beneath you.
“What did I ever do to receive that?” Aslan though as he got into his battle stance.
“Match, Begin!” Immediately Aslan activated “Holy weapon”, and though it was a notably longer than Zion’s his sword and shield were completely covered in light, unlike Zion’s from last time. This time, however, Zion’s weapon was completely white, and shone even brighter than Aslans. Immediately Aslan rushed forward, hoping to catch him off guard.
“Holy repel!” Aslan shouted, intending to knock him off guard. To his surprise Zion swung his sword against Aslans shield, knocking him off balance. Aslan retched his shield up just in time to stop Zion’s blade from cleaving him in two.
“This amount of strength is frightening!” Aslan thought. He rolled away from Zion. He stood up and launched a series of well aimed strikes meant to throw Zion off balance. Surprisingly Zion managed to block them all and even launched a counterattack, though it was weak and lacking strength. Aslan put some distance between him and Zion and began to gather his mana at his hands. Zion, noticing this rushed him but before he could reach him Aslan shouted
“Lance of Light!” Instantly a bright light began to weave itself in the shape of a spear. It shot from Aslan’s hand and smacked Zion straight in the chest, sending him flying.
“That was… my strongest...spell.” Aslan huffed, the loss of mana taking a large toll on him. After seven seconds Zion still did not move so the ref called
“Match Ov--!” Suddenly Zion raised his hand in the air, signifying he will continue. Slowly but surely he rose, standing up on unsteady knees.
“Amazing!” Aslan thought.
“Holy enchantment!” Zion and Aslan shouted, each reapplying the buff. With frightening speed they leapt towards each other, showering each other with blows. Aslan thrusted his sword at Zion’s chest only for it to be knocked out of his hands by a well timed disarm move.
“That’s no good!” Aslan shouted while backing up. Zion did not let him gain distance and kept on him, slashing and smashing Aslan in hopes of getting first blood.
The crowd was left entranced by this glorious display, excited at how skilled these two warriors were.
“Holy rep-!” Aslan could not finish his sentence as Zion stopped striking and ran straight towards him, smashing the hilt of his blade in Aslans gut.
“Gaaah!” Aslan felt a metallic taste enter his mouth and realized that he was about to throw up blood. Most likely he had broken some ribs. With a will far excedding that of a child his age he swallowed it, feeling more than a little pain as it went down his throat.
“HOLY REPEL!” Aslan screamed, throwing all of his mana into a shield blow. He just barely managed to clip Zion on the chin when he tried to turn, comically spinning him at a fast speed. Aslan smashed into the ground, feeling intense pain in his shoulder.
“Is it broken.. no, it’s only dislocated.” He thought as he slowly tried to stand. However, Zion was down on the ground and not moving.
“Match over, Winner Aslan!” The last thing he saw was the healers running towards him and Zion before he blacked out.
---------------
“That was a fun day wasn’t it Aster?” Karak said as he rubbed under the chin of his pet snake. He had a great time at tea and was pleasantly surprised when he found that Jessica would be coming to the banquet his father was hosting. Something about potential marketing partners and the like.
“Annnnd were home.” Karak opened the carriage door, quickly thanking the driver and walking to his bedroom.
“Hello master, did you have a good trip?” Lily said, standing by his door.
“Hello Lily. You're looking cute today. And yes, I had a great time.” Karak said, teasing her. He laughed when her face turned bright red. He knew that Lily had a crush on him, despite being a year older than him. Although they both knew he share the same feelings, he still teased her from time to time.
“P-p-please master, stop with the jokes.” She said, twirling a lock of hair. Karak smiled at this and opened his door, feeling a refreshing breeze from his balcony.
“How long until the banquet?” Karak asked, stripping his clothes.
“T-t-theres about six more hours until the banquet, master Karak.” Lily said, hiding her face between her hands. Although she had seen Prince Karak naked multiple times her cheeks still blushed when she saw “It”.
“I see… I will sleep until then. I have already taken a shower and for some reason I am feeling quite tired. Wake me at the required time.” Karak told her, putting Aster in his cage then sliding under his bed covers.
“As you wish, my lord.” Lily said and bowed.
-------------
“Where...am I?” Karak was swimming in darkness. Everywhere he looked he saw nothing but black, as if he was dropped in a bucket of black paint.
“...ar....y….ce”
“Hm?” He could faintly sense that something was calling to him. It was beneath him, and the sense was growing stronger. Curious, he swam downwards, the darkness making it hard to move.
“C….ou….ear….y….vo..e?”
“C ou ear y voe? What does... “ Karak mumbled under his breath, trying to decipher the words.
“Can you hear my voice, child?” A raspy voice asked.
“What was that?” Karak shouted. He still could not hear anything yet the voice instilled so much fear in him that he lost control of his body.
“I.. am Envakir.” The voice whispered, its voice sounding like a thousand needles stabbed into my ear.
“Gah.ha...ha… am.. am I supposed to know who that is? And would you do something with that voice!” Karak shouted, unable to take the pain.
This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.
“Hmph. Pathetic. To think you are the best candidate…” The voice no longer sounded like hell incarnate, instead an old man’s voice came out.
“Best candidate for what?” Karak asked, rubbing his ear.
“Be honored mortal. You are the candidate to become the heir of The Dark One and use his powers to ravage this world.” The voice said mightily. Dread filled Karak as these words poured out. The Dark One? The god that fought with The Light One and nearly enslaved mankind? Impossible! Karak couldn’t stop shaking as he thought about what he learned in history class.
Four thousand years ago two gods engaged in a brutal slaughter across the earth. The Light One, a being who controlled the power of light fought for humanity and stood for justice. The Dark One, However, controlled the power of darkness and stood for all that was evil. He enslaved humanity using Orcs, trolls and beastmen to gain the upper hand. Confident in his victory The Dark One grew lax and made a fatal mistake. What that mistake was, history does not say. All we know is that somehow The Light One convinced the beastmen to fight for what was right and with their combined forces they managed to free humanity and kill The Dark One. Or so we thought.
Deciding to play it cool despite his shivering body Karak asked “How do I know you're from The Dark One and I’m not just dreaming?” At this the voice just laughed. An old, ancient laugh that chilled Karak’s bones. Suddenly his head was filled with thousands of Images. What he saw horrified him. Humanity slaughtering each other in brutal wars. Women being raped in their own homes and no one helping them. One particularly gory scene showed a beastman ripping open the stomach of a human woman and eating her intestines in front of her kids.
“STOP!STOP!STOP!” Karak screamed, tears coming unbidden from his face. Still the images continued, each one showing a gorier scene than the last.
When the images finally stopped Karak couldn’t even move. He felt so exhausted by the knowledge in his brain that his muscles refused to cooperate. He now had no doubts that voice was working with The Dark One. Only a creature such as that enjoy such slaughter.
“Before you become biased against the dark lord, take a look at these.” The voice said. Karak was helpless as the images began to pour into his brain. He recognized them at once.
“The age of prosperity, 2000 years ago,” Karak whispered. Karak had heard about how great this time was. Agriculture, farming and technology went up tenfold in that year. The world was actually at peace for a small time.
Or so he was told.
These images showed enslaved beastmen working until death. Their corpses thrown in the mud like they were dirty animals and used to feed the other beastmen. Child beastmen having their tails and ears cut off for noble entertainment. Beastwomen selling themselves to feed their children. Beastmen being experimented on by nobles for their own sick pleasure. For the first time in his life, Karak felt rage. Rage at the fact that humanity could do such a thing and still live on. Rage at how this was never mentioned in history. Rage at what we did to a single race!
“You see child? This is what humanity has done. This is what The Dark One was fighting against. Even before the war humanity enslaved elves, beastmen and even dwarves to do their bidding. Humanity is a plague on the earth and my master wishes to rid the world of those dirty pests.” The voice said, hating lacing his words. Karak did not know what to say. He was embarrassed to say that after seeing these images, he too thought humanity was disgusting.
“I must go now child. I kept you here too long. Begone.” And just like that Karak awoke, blood and sweat pouring down his body.
“What the hell?” He shouted, standing up off the bed. Blood was pouring out of his ears, eyes and mouth yet oddly enough he felt no pain. He quickly wiped his body, making a mental note to clean his own sheets. He didn’t need anyone prying into this.
Karak just finished getting dressed before Lily busted into the room, an odd expression on her face.
“My lord! You are up!” She shouted, a happy expression on her face.
“How long was I out?” Karak asked, folding his blankets into a ball.
“Well… about seven hours. I apologize my lord but no matter what I did you would not awake. I asked Jessica’s head maid Sharon to come and take a look at you since she was the nearest healer but she simply said you were over exhausted.” Lily said while bowing repeatedly.
“Jessica!” Karak yelled in his mind. He hoped she wasn’t mad at him for staying asleep. He grabbed Aster out of his cage, smiling as it wound itself around his neck. It licked his neck a couple of times, causing him to laugh.
“Haha thanks buddy.” Karak said as he walked out the door.
“It’s fine Lily. I was quite tired and I ended up having an… interesting dream.” Karak said, remembering the thousands of images that flew into his brain. He began to look for Jessica, forced to converse with nobles along the way. Despite being hated by most nobles they still flocked in droves when he appeared, each fluffing their tail feathers highest to outdo one another. Everytime he was greeted by a noble he politely replied he had something to due, then asked if they had seen Jessica. After ten minutes of searching a servant said that he saw Aslan and Jessica go out to the garden a few minutes ago.
“Wonder why they went out there?” Karak thought, going outside towards the garden. He took the long route, trying to remain inconspicuous to the nobles.
“Hello there Prince Karak. I see that you have awoken.” Karak turned to see Sharon, Jessica’s head made walking towards him.
“Well hello there Sharon. Yes, I had a rather interesting dream that I chose to not wake up from.” Karak said with a slight smile.
“I’m glad you are well rested. I are you perhaps looking for Lady Jessica?” Sharon asked, a drop of sweat dripping down her face.
“Why yes I am. Thankfully I already know were to look>” Karak said, walking past Sharon to get through the gardens.
“Then you are headed back to the banquet correct?” Sharon said.
“No… I am headed to the garden. My brother and Jessica are there together.” Sharon’s eyes widened at this. She quickly regained herself though and said
“Oh yes! They were at the garden. However they went back into the ball a bit ago. To search for you, of course.”
“I see… well, I will take a stroll through the garden anyways. The sky looks beautiful in the evening, and I have a great view of it in the flower garden.” Karak told her. Her face visibly paled when he said this.
“Something wrong?” He asked, curious as to why she went pale.
“No-nothing my lord. It’s just that Lady Jessica was anxious to see you.” She said, wiping her brow.
“She was anxious to see me even though I saw her a little while ago…?” Karak was suspicious as to why Sharon was acting like this.
“I guess so my lord. Ha-haha…. Well, if you will excuse me.” Sharon said, bowing and began to leave.
“Wait.” Karak commanded more than said. She froze on the spot, not moving.
“Walk with me.” He said, curious as to why Sharon was acting guilty.
“I apologize my lord but I am extre-”
“I don’t care, I asked you to walk with me. That is, unless you have something more important than me?”
“Of course not my lord!” Sharon nearly yelled, slightly shocking Karak.
“Then, let’s walk.”
-------------
“You will be a fine pawn.”
“Gaaah!” Aslan flew awake , nearly jumping out of his bed.
“What the hell was that?” Aslan was in the middle of an dream when suddenly he was engulfed in darkness and a voice told him he would be a pawn.
“That was… odd.” He thought as he checked his surroundings. He was inside the schools infirmary and his stomach was tightly wrapped by bandages.
“Congratz on your win Aslan.” Nate said, appearing from nowhere.
“Ah! Stop doing that Nate, you scare the light out of me. And thanks, it was a close match.” Indeed, the match had been far too close for comfort. At least he won though.
“Haha. I can’t help that I’m good at sneaking around. Here, drink this. You're probably thirsty.” Nate said, handing Aslan a cup.
“What is this?” Aslan asked suspiciously. Instead of water like he was expecting there was a greenish blue liquid inside. It smelled surprisingly good, to be honest.
“It’s one of my mothers medicinal blends. It’ll make you feel right as rain!” Nate laughed, prompting me to drink it. Aslan was surprised at the taste. It tasted sweet yet cool, providing a nice sensation as it slid down his throat.
“It was a good match… and um, I know I shouldn’t pry but aren’t your parent’s throwing a banquet for the southern province?”
“Oh yeah. I forgot about that…”
“Well… it kinda started twenty minutes ago.” Nate said, a slight smile on his face.
“Gaah! Holy light I hope my father isn’t mad!” Aslan said, putting on his training gear.
“Just gonna have to change when I get there.” Aslan thought, running out of the infirmary.
“I already got a carriage for you!” Nate yelled, causing Aslan to smile. Despite their social class differences Nate was probably his best friend in this school, next to Lena.
--------------
Aslan hurriedly pulled on his clothes, not bothering to get his maids to do it. He went to go pull on his pants but a sudden wave of intense arousal caused him to stop.
“What… what’s going on?” He thought as he struggled to adjust his erection.
“Why am I randomly aroused?”
“Prince Aslan, Lady Jessica would like to meet you at the flower gardens.” His maid Lana said, standing outside the door. Aslan always had his maids leave the room when he dressed. Lily thought it was quite cute how shy he was.
“Not good… Um yeah. I will meet her in a minute!” Aslan yelled, struggling to adjust his pants. Suddenly another intense wave of arousal ran through him, nearly dropping him to his knees.
“What...is...going...on!” He shakily walked towards the door, every step sending intense pleasure through him. Aslan ripped open the door, surprising the maids standing by.
“Prince Aslan are you alright!” Lana yelled, a shocked expression on her face. Her prince had an expression that should not be on an 11 year old. A look of pure lust.
“I’m fine, thank you for your concern. Please lead me to Lady Jessica.”
“Are you sure you are alright prince? If you wish I can decline…”
“No no, thank you though, I just have a slight cold.” Aslan said, making up a pitiful lie on the spot. Anyone with half a brain could tell it was more than a little cold.
“..As you wish.” Lana led him towards a corner of the banquet, skillfully avoiding any noble that wished to talk to him. When Aslan saw her, he had to say she looked absolutely stunning. She had a bright red dress on that accentuated her curves, further increased by her fiery hair and blue eyes. Her lips were plump and full, giving her an older woman look.
All in all, she looked hot.
“Hello there Prince Aslan.” She said, giving a slight bow. Aslan had to use all his willpower to not stare down her shirt.
“What in the holy heavens is wrong with me.” Aslan screamed inside his head, biting his tongue to control himself.
“H-hello to you too, Lady Jessica. Have you seen my brother?” Aslan was trying hard not to stare at her face.
“Yes I have. He is sound asleep in his room. He has a slight cold and wouldn’t wake up when we tried to get him up.” Jessica said.
“He also has a cold? How weird.” Aslan thought.
“Would you like to visit the flower gardens with me Prince Aslan? They look beautiful in the mid-day light.” Jessica suddenly said, a light smile on her face.
“Sure, why not.”Aslan said, thinking some fresh air would calm him down.
“Lets go!” Jessica said, grabbing him by the hand and leading him towards the gardens.
Aslan, feeling awkward asked
“How are things with you and my brother going?”
“I heard you defeated Zion at the Paladin academy?” Jessica blurted, eager to change the topic. Aslan, a bit taken back said
“Y-Yeah. You should have seen him! He was instacasting basic spells like they were nothing!” Aslan truly was shocked at how skilled Zion was at fighting.
“But… how did you know that?”
“Oh, I have some eyes and ears in the paladin school.” Jessica said mysteriously. Before he could ask who they arrived at the garden. Aslan’s breath caught in his throat. The sky was bright orange, perfectly reflecting off the bright flowers that littered the ground in patterns. If he wasn’t so aroused Aslan would think he was in a dream.
“Beautiful.” Jessica muttered. Aslan looked towards Jessica and suddenly another immensely powerful wave of lust hit him. It knocked him off his knees and he fell on top of Jessica, knocking her to the ground.
“I’m sorry Jessica! I lost my ba--!” He couldn’t finish his sentence as Jessica drew him in for an intense kiss. He moaned in her mouth as he felt her wet tongue brush his teeth, then dive into his own mouth. When they finally broke the kiss Aslan said
“Jessica… no. We-we can’t do this. Yo-!” His sentence was cut short as he felt her cold hand grip his genitals.
