As Nathan and Lea left the office room, Kezar continued to wonder where Nathan got his battle instinct. Royal and noble vampire starts their blood arts training at the age of seven. Their training in the first year is only the most basic in combat which involves preparing one’s body for physical activities. It is important to do so as support arts require full use of the body and if one’s body was unprepared, it could potentially lead to muscle degradation or worse, it could lead to permanent paralysis. Kezar knows that Nathan’s age was 17 so if the Norlands kingdom declared war on the entirety of the vampire world ten years ago, then that would mean that Nathan was only seven when the executions began. This is why Kezar wonders where Nathan got his battle instinct when he should’ve only begun basic training.
Kezar already knew that Nathan have taught himself support arts. After all, support arts can be learned and acquired as one grows older. Though it can sometimes vary from vampire to vampire as royal blood is superior to noble blood. But that still does not explain how Nathan was able to acquire battle instinct. To gain one, one must face many battles. Multiple sparring with his Master was how Kezar was able to get his battle instinct and it was further enhanced as he fought in life-and-death situations. This was what he taught Lea, Alph, and Nina. But after seeing Nathan and Alphs short fight earlier in the hallway, he began to doubt.
Kezar could tell Nathan’s potential at combat. One problem he saw with Nathan was that he does not take combat seriously. He underestimates his opponent and relies too much on his royal phantasm. Or so he thought. It was true that Nathan does not take combat seriously even in life-or-death situations, but after seeing him face to face, he noticed something that he has seen on other dangerous vampires he had killed before. There was darkness inside him. Far darker than the dangerous vampires he had fought. The only difference was that he keeps it restrained, hence why he holds back on every fight.
He must’ve acquired it during the royal executions… Kezar thought. Based on how Nathan keeps his darkness restrained, Kezar realized that he must be aware of it himself. It was clear to Kezar that he somehow needed to remove it from Nathan or else, he will become a monster. Despite everything he thought, Kezar was still not able to determine how Nathan got his battle instinct. Perhaps he was taught by someone or maybe started training earlier than everyone. Kezar thought.

“Coleas…” Kezar called while he stared at the ceiling as he sat comfortably on the office couch.
“What Kezar?”
“Be mindful of Nathan, he’s dangerous at the moment. But don’t worry, I’ll make sure to fix that.”
“*Sigh, you better Kezar. I’m sure that you already know his combat potential. He might be our key to taking back the things that we’ve lost.”
“I’ll be sure to torment him. Hehe, it’s been a while since I last taught someone from scratch. But he could also prove to be a difficult one… Guess we’ll just have to see.”
“Don’t get carried away the same way you did with the royal siblings. But regardless of that, the schedule for his training will be every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Do you have objections?”
“No, I’m good. I’m just wondering how I’m going to start his training. I guess I’ll start thinking about that.”
“You do that Kezar. I’ll give Lea the schedule for his training tomorrow after school…”
Tomorrow was a Monday which meant that Kezar has nothing to do but think of the lessons for Nathan.
“By the way Kezar, you reek of trash. Take a shower for heaven’s sake…”
