The recurring dreams made Caesar realize that something was amiss. He became aware that these dreams were not ordinary – it didn't make sense for him to end up in the same place for consecutive days, and he could remember the scenes from the "dreams" the next day.
However, this black dream that had been occurring since he became a dragon was perplexing. There was no guide or beginner's instruction present in this place. If there were user reviews or feedback, Caesar would definitely give it a negative rating and file a complaint.
But the reality was that he could only rely on his own experiences after becoming a dragon to explore this pitch-black place, and every time, his exploration led to nothingness.
Fortunately, this time was different.
Though there was no light or torches around, a beam of light appeared out of nowhere, illuminating the black dream like a dawn sword, dispersing the thick mist.
In front of him appeared a grand display case.
Even from a dragon's perspective, the suddenly appearing cabinet was massive – its height unknown, as it stretched into the darkness at the top of the black dream.
Caesar lightly scraped his hooked toes across its polished surface. The cabinet was impeccably constructed, with a heavy and smooth exterior made of an unknown material. As his claws collided with it, a clear metallic sound resonated.
Looking up, he could see trophies placed inside. They were neatly arranged in the showcase, reflecting various gleams under the light. Transparent glass allowed his line of sight to pass through, and Caesar could see that although their forms were the same, their colors and materials varied.
Bronze, black jade, red gold, white diamond – he had no doubt about the authenticity of these expensive materials. Their sparkling colors lay quietly in the cabinet, resembling treasures of a flourishing era.
Caesar cast a glance across them. The dragon's acute vision allowed him to see the tiny inscriptions engraved at the front of the trophy bases –
"Nuclear Fusion Power Reactor."
"Exoskeleton Enhanced Biological Armor."
"Force Field Generator."
"Neutron Star Life Reshaping."

Soon after, Caesar tried and discovered that although the transparent glass separating him seemed fragile, it was remarkably sturdy, as unyielding as a rock. The collision between his claws and the cabinet produced a tremendous impact, causing soreness in his muscles and bones from the strong reactive force. The sensation of pain was so vivid that he couldn't help but question if he was truly in a dream.
He couldn't break it – at least not with his current abilities.
Continuing his exploration, Caesar noticed that the unbreakable glass of the first display case on his right suddenly vanished without a sound. A trophy emerged from it, hovering in front of him, giving him a fright.
He took two steps back, staring at the trophy, which was as tall as an average human. Then, he glanced at the single display window that obviously only reached up to his shin, wondering just how big the space inside the display case really was.
As the trophy enlarged rapidly upon leaving the display case, its shape was no different from common trophies on Earth. However, its surface was as smooth as a mirror, and the feel was astonishingly good. At the front end of its base, there were engraved markings that resembled knife and chisel carvings –
"Dragon Genetic Enhancer Type 1."
Caesar stared at the words for a long time, holding the bronze object in his claw. Instead of the ecstatic joy he had anticipated upon realizing it could be a reward, he examined it with a cautious attitude, pondering the origin of this supposed reward.
Soon, he made a new discovery.
The bronze base seemed to sense his gaze. Under Caesar's scrutiny, neat and meticulous words emerged one after another on the bronze base, resembling a computer-generated arrangement.
Predator
You are adapting to life in the new world and have taken the first step.
- Anything is possible. Wishing you a pleasant journey.
Caesar stared at those words for a long time, then fell into deep thought. Words such as "predator" and "first step" provided him with plenty of inspiration and made him aware of the clues.
Minutes passed before Caesar opened his eyes again, and his vertical pupils shimmered with light. "So, that's how it is."
He understood. Before falling asleep, he had hunted and devoured a wild tiger. Starving and considering future development, he took a desperate risk and ventured into the jungle.
That was Caesar's first real hunt.
As he entered his slumber, the towering display case appeared for the first time, and the bronze trophy landed before him.
"But something seems off about this style."
Caesar's gaze shifted between the bronze cup and the other items in the cabinet. Logically speaking, if these were rewards, shouldn't they be magical items or artifacts from another world?
The black dream remained silent, offering no response.
The trophy shone brightly like a mirror, reflecting his image. However, Caesar keenly noticed that his reflection remained the same posture, but his body had undergone significant changes.
In the bronze cup's reflection, his entire body's scales and skin turned transparent. Curious, Caesar approached, wanting to see more clearly, and as if the copper cup knew his intention, the image gradually magnified.
The reflection became even more transparent, and Caesar could even see his beating heart in the image.
"Boom!"
In the next moment, the bronze cup, which stood as tall as a person, suddenly shattered into countless tiny dots of light, gradually covering his body. Among them, his head and heart area received a particularly large number of light particles, and they eagerly merged into him.
