System Activated
Is all Kait heard as he turned around looking to see who spoke those words. Not seeing anyone, he shakes his head unsure if he is going crazy or not.
"When one talks to you, you need answer." A voice said inside of his head. Turning around he shouts out. "Who's there? Why are you messing with me?"
"Why would I be messing with someone like you? You really are too cautious." The voice said. Soon realization hits Kait as he stops looking around and looks up towards the sky, its piercing blue color relaxing him.
"God? Is that you?" He questions. The voice starts to laugh.
"Not a god per-say, but to your kind I might as well be one. I'm merely a system that was created long ago before your kind, I was sent to assist one that had great potential, but it would seem that I was mistaken. You seem pretty pathetic to me."
A vein begins to show atop of Kait's head as he feels attacked.
"Why on earth would I need help? Is my life that terrible? Are you the reason why I moved so fast?" Kait questions the voice.
The voice waits a few seconds before answering. "I guess you can say that, but at the same-time you're the one that made you move. It was basically an subconscious thought."
Kait rubs his head in confusion. "What's your name anyways? Mine is Kait."
"My name is Lazarus, I knew your name the second we were connected. I've seen your memories. Kinda sad to say the least."
Kait feels the veins in his head start to bulge. "I'm going to ignore that. I just want to know what I'm capable of."
Lazarus waits for a second. "It really depends, anytime a person gets a system; their abilities are different. The last system that I knew about was around 20 years ago. The user was killed in a fight against someone that was stronger and more resilient. But if you want to check your stats, just say stats."
Kait slapped his hand to his face, if only it had been that obvious to him.

"The reason that you have +40 in your strength is that you are currently only able to partially use your true strength. Your body can only withstand so much force before it starts hurting itself, and the reason that you only has 10 charisma, is because you're ugly." Lazarus spoke truthfully.
Kait let out an exhausted sigh. "So is there a way I can change those stats?"
Lazarus opened a screen for Kait. 'New Quest'
"If you do Quests, then you can level up and gain stat points that you can then apply to yourself, but be warned that if you increase your strength, your body will not update the way it looks, so the way you look now is the way you will stay; unless you were to enlist in a gym. I will warn you however, depends on the quest, it will have negative side-effects for failing the Quest."
Kait scratched his head, curiously he opened up the Quest.
'New Quest : Run 10 miles in one day.
Reward for completion : 100 XP
Failure to complete quest: Minor to severe headaches.'
"That's a surprisingly easy quest, I didn't expect much for the side-effects." Kait says as he closes the screen and walks around the city until he finds a school entrance.
Kait looks up towards the sign and reads it.
"Demitros, School for the gifted huh? This should be interesting." Kait thought as he walked through the gate and into the school, making his way around he spots the office.
Walking inside Kait notices that the office looks just like the one in his old school except that this office is nice looking and doesn't have graffiti written all over it.
"Excuse me, Miss. I was wondering if I could possibly enroll here?" Kait asked the woman behind the counter, she turned around looking him up and down.
"I suppose it's possible, sugar." She said very sweetly, before giving him papers to fill out.
Kait turns around and sits down in one of the marble seats in the office and begins filling out the paper.
An hour later.
"Whew, all done." Kait said as he hands the paper back to the woman behind the counter.
"I really hope you enjoy it here, sugar." She says giving him a wink before handing him a paper to show his schedule and where his locker is located.
"What kind of classes are these?" He thinks to himself as he reads the various classes.
'Magic 101, Power Assessments, Potions 101, Physical Abilities'
"Anyways, I should get changed into my uniform before anything." Kait said as he found his locker and changed into his uniform that was provided.
Making his way to Magic 101, Kait noticed that the students varied in sizes and ethnicity. Entering the class, the teacher turned to him and smiled.
"You must be Kait, welcome to Magic 101. I hope that I can teach you well about the fundamentals of Magic and increase your understanding of how it all works. My name is Kaiser, but you can call me Mr. Lenozo."
Bowing his head, Kait went for one of the seats that were open. To his surprise Lila was in the seat over. Looking up towards him, she smiled.
Kait smiled back and sat down unsure about everything.
Mr. Lenozo turns around and smiles and speaks. "Thank you everyone for showing up and attending my class, today we will be learning about the fundamentals, and workings of Magic. Now if you open your text books to page 20, you will see how Magic is ingrained in every one of us."
Kait opens up his text book and begins reading.
As he read through the book, he felt his head start hurting. "Lazarus, is there any reason I actually need this?" Kait thought to himself.
"Not particularly, but it will help you increase your Intelligence. Not alot I should say. You can always increase your stats to better understand it." Lazarus explained.
30 minutes later.
Kait let out a sigh of relief as class was over. Before he could get out of his chair, Lila stopped him.
"Kait, I was wondering. After school, would you mind helping me out?" Lila asked.
Kait, felt awkward because he didn't fully understand it either.
"Sure, I can try my best. But I will warn you, I don't understand it very well." Kait said truthfully.
Looking down at his schedule, Kait noticed that Physical Abilities was the next class. Making his way into class, he sees that everyone there is toned and muscular unlike the others in his previous class.
The teacher turns around and glares at him for a brief moment and then smiles.
"You must be Kait, I'm Guiltier, but you can call me Mr. Levi. Please take a seat. " Mr. Levi says as he motions towards the seat.
"It looks like Lila isn't in this class, that's a shame. I really like her." Kait though to himself.
"Now, class. Today we will be learning about Physical Abilities, their uses, and then we will split into pairs and test out your Physical Prowess." Mr. Levi explained.
20 minutes later, Kait feels like his head is going to burst. "Lazarus, do I really need to be at this school?" Kait thinks to himself again.
"You don't need to be here, but it will give you the feet you need to survive. Some people are gifted powers and then do not seek help you train them and ultimately die. I want you to be different. Don't forget about the Quest!" Lazarus explained.
After school, Kait finds Lila outside of the gate. Seeing him, she waves at him with a big smile.
"I thought you got lost for a moment." Lila said with a giggle.
Letting out a sigh, Kait shook his head. "This school is alot bigger than it appears. I got lost a few times trying to get back to the entrance."
"I should have figured as much." Lila said as she reached out and grasped Kait's hand and pulled him behind her.
As they finished their study, Kait felt his headache lessen, understanding more about magic from Lila.
Parting ways, Kait went off to finish his Quest.
"It's time to start running." Kait said before running.
"Keep in mind, that you are unable to use your Super-Human Speed. You'll only be able to use the speed that your body is currently comfortable with. So, normal human speed." Lazarus said as Kait sighed once more, running around the city.
