I woke up to more people screaming. I got out of the band room, distraught from the explosion. My heart quickly sank as I looked around. The school had been..destroyed. I looked around the debris to make sure no one was trapped underneath it. Connor ran up to me,

“Where’s Willow!?” I yelled.

“Jason is looking for her but we can’t find her.”

Connor and I looked all around the debris and shouted her name.

“Willow answer if you can hear us!” we both shouted.

Jason came running back

“I found her! She’s on her way to the hospital,” Jason said, trying to catch his breath.

“Okay, we should go to the hospital then, to make sure she is okay,” I said.

We start running but then this huge wave of green light hit us. Suddenly we were thrown back, and the next thing I knew I was waking up in a hospital with my mom by my side.

“Mom?” I said quietly.

My mom looked up startled.

“He's awake!” my mom called out.

The doctors came to my room and checked on me.

“You gave us quite the scare,” the doctor said.

“Does everything look okay?” my mom asked.

“Everything seems just fine. He should be able to go home today.” the doctor said.

“How long was I out for?” I asked worriedly

“You've been out for 2 years…. I’m joking, you’ve only been out for 3 days.”

Thank god. While my mom was discharging me from the hospital, I heard someone say my name.

“Miles, you okay?” I looked and it was Connor and Jason.

“It's been a while.”

“Yeah,” I said.

“How’s Willow?” I asked

“She is doing alright, she just still doesn't feel good. They’re keeping her in the hospital for a while to monitor her to make sure she is good to be sent home.” Jason said.

My mom walks back into the room

“Ready to go?” she asked me.

“Yeah, see you guys tomorrow,” I said to Connor and Jason.

We left the hospital and we drove past the school, it was getting repaired. There was a sign outside the school that said “School should resume by next week.” I was surprised the school had such little damage. There was only a hole in one wall and the roof.On our drive home we drove by the park. I saw Henry there sitting on the bench.

“Pull over,” I said to mom.

She pulled into the parking lot.

“I want to talk to Henry, I will walk home after I am done.”

I got out of the car and she drove off. I walked over to the bench and sat down next to him. He’s looking down at a necklace clutched in his hands, it was his mom’s.

“ Hey, how have you been holding up?” I asked.

“It's been hard after my mom’s death and dealing with school,” Henry said in a sad voice, still looking down.

“You know I will always be here for you if you ever need me,” I said.

“Yeah I know, it was nice talking to you, I better get going, see you ‘round,” Henry said, getting up from the bench.

“See ya,” I said

After that, I walked home when I got home my mom prepared a huge dinner, and all my friends were there except Willow. We were all talking about school and about the event that happened, a whole satellite falling from the sky. After dinner, Connor and Jason went home and I went to bed. It was the next day, I went downstairs to eat breakfast and my mom turned on the news,

“The police are still searching for Ronan. If anyone has a location or information on Ronan, please contact the police immediately, we will give you more updates on Ronan as we get further information.”

After breakfast, I went to hang out with Connor and Jason at Connor’s place.

“Hey, I have a question for you guys,” Connor said, seeming worried.

“Did you guys feel…I don’t know, different? After that wave of green light hit us?” Connor questioned.

“A little bit, but it’s probably nothing, we probably just hit our heads too hard when we hit the ground,” Jason said.

“After I woke up at the hospital I kept on getting chills and I don't know why,” I said worriedly.

Now that Connor mentioned it I was getting a little more worried now. Is something wrong with me? AM I GOING TO DIE? After we talked, we just played some video games trying to get our minds off of everything. We ended up playing for hours, it was the most fun we had since the whole thing that happened at school. *Ding, Dong, Ding, Dong*

“Who’s at the Door?”. Connor asked.

Connor, Jason, and I go to the door. We open the door to see who it is

“Meet me at the school tonight,” Willow said in a serious tone.

“Why? Is something wrong? '' Connor questioned.

“No, everything is fine, I just need to show you guys something, that's it. Just be there okay? Willow said, then she ran off.

“What was that all about?'' Jason said, confused.

“Not sure,” Connor said. After that Jason and I left Connor’s place and went back to our houses. On my way home I was thinking about what Willow said. I couldn’t help but think about what she could want to show us. I got to my house, went to my room, and took a little nap.

“Can you hear me?” a strange voice said to me

“Yes, yes I can hear you,” I said somewhat scared. Who is this? What do they want?

“You will know what to do when the time comes,” the mysterious voice said.

“What do you mean ‘when the time comes? ' Hello?”

“Miles wake up!” my mom said as she was shaking me.

I woke up and jumped out of bed, I didn't know what was happening.

“Honey, are you alright? Did you have a bad dream?” Mom asked while trying to calm me down.

“I’m fine, I just had a bit of a nightmare, I’ll be down in a sec,” I told her.

“Okay, dinner is ready whenever you are hungry”. Mom said while leaving the room.

I fell back onto my bed, just laying there wondering who that voice was, and what they wanted from me. I can’t worry too much about that now. Tonight I gotta go see what Willow wanted to show us.
