Dan Roberts opened his eyes and looked around blankly at his bedroom, whilst doing this he groaned and rolled out of his bed. "Oh joy, another day of misery and boredom awaits", he thought to himself.
Suddenly there came a shout from outside his room, "Dan! Are you up yet? if you don't get up soon you're going to be late!" Dan started to reply then stopped and his eyes began to shine as he remembered what he had planned for the day ahead. "Finally after a month of waiting i can go and fetch it from bro's house!"
An hour later Dan was on his brothers doorstop, hesitating to ring the doorbell despite his apparent excitement. Finally he pulled himself together and pushed the button, after 30 seconds the door was opened (quite violently) and a large muscular body occupied the space.
"Yo runt, you're here early", the behemoth that was Dan's brother said (well shouted really, as Steve never did anything quietly) as he gestured for Dan to enter.
"Still suppose you couldn't help it, considering you've been waiting a month and it's not like you have a social life or anything."
Dan's face turned red but luckily his brother had his back to him so he didn't see.
"Well here it is, I'll give you a hand getting it into the van so you can get it round yours", Steve said as he flexed his arms. (privately Dan thought his brother was a bit of an ass but because he would get pummeled if he said anything he kept quiet)

After a bit of hassle getting the item into the van, Dan and Steve were heading back to Dan's house, when they arrived they then spent a further half hour setting it up before sitting down with their mother for something to eat. "So boys is it all set? "
"Sure is mum, the little runt will have something to do now, other than sit around reading his kid's books" Steve replied
"Steve! I've told you not to call your brother that and they're not kids books, they're Adult fantasy novels. Isn't that right Dan?"
"yes mum that's right", Dan said whilst thinking that his brother probably didn't have the brain capacity to understand what a novel was, let alone read one from beginning to end.
"Whatever, hopefully Dan will interact with some living people now he's got what he wanted and maybe it'll even inspire him to do something sociable in real life" Steve said just before he got up and headed out the back door. "See you mum, catch you later runt."
Dan waited a minute before also leaving and heading up to his room, there in the corner was a brand new capsule. He smiled to himself and thought of all the things he would do once he started to play the most popular game in the world. Royal Road!
