World Building
Hey everyone, your favorite main character here! I don't know what you are doing at the moment, but personally, I'm falling through some kind of black hole.
Suddenly, I see a light at the end of the hole. 'Déjà vu...'
I have fallen into the middle of what appears to be some kind of temple. It was pure white, designed in Roman architectural styles. It was roofless, but there was a ring around it denoting the borders of the temple, formed by 72 large, pure white, marble pillars, all of which were adjoined by a golden ring going across the top of them.
Around me were seven large, high backed thrones similar to the one God sat in during my meeting with him, just much less resplendent, and without the image of dragons taking flight. Seated in each one of these thrones were seven, 12 winged beings, all looking like carbon copies of one another, albeit with minor differences, that being hair and eye color. They all wore white togas similar to the one God wore, and were sculpted like Arnold Schwarzenegger. One of them began to speak, after giving me about a minute to orient myself and take in my surroundings.
“Welcome, mortal, to the Realm of the Archangels. I am the leader of the Archangels, Michael,” said the one with pure gold eyes and hair. “With me are the other 6 archangels, Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, Chamuel, Jophiel, and Zadkiel,” he continued. Gabriel was the one with blue hair and blue eyes. Raphael had red hair and red eyes. Uriel had green hair and green eyes. Chamuel had black hair and black eyes. Jophiel had purple hair and purple eyes, while Zadkiel had argent hair and eyes.
At this point, I was on the verge of a mental breakdown. There was too much occurring all too fast. First, I meet and chat with God himself, which was all fine and dandy, since he was actually relatively easy going. But now, I've suddenly been thrust into the realm of angels. This couldn’t be the reincarnation He was talking about right? I thought I was going to another world! God wouldn’t have lied to me right????
“Calm yourself mortal,” said Zadkiel.
A sudden wave of soothing calm washed over me, bringing all my rampant thoughts to a grinding halt. ‘What had Zadkiel just done?’ I wondered to myself.
“The Lord has no reason to tell lies, and spoke naught but the truth to you. He assigned us the task of giving you the… “little help” he spoke of,” said Uriel. “As for what Zadkiel has done to you, he simply imparted a new skill upon you, called ‘Calm Mind, Serene Heart’, albeit a little bit early. We will get to the matter of your skills at a later time. First, we must explain to you about the world we will be sending you to,” continued Uriel, smiling.

Raphael picked up from here. “The name of the world you will be reincarnated into will be known as Vernestasia. Vernestasia is a massive star, approximately 100 times the size of Earth. Similar to Earth, there are seven continents scattered throughout the world, all similar in placement to those of the Earthen counterparts. The only difference being that the scale is of course, 100 times greater than the Earth continents.”
I interrupt at this point. “How do they travel around? Since they are technologically inferior to Earth, they can’t have very speedy means of transport can they?”
Jophiel replies, “Actually, the inhabitants of this world are far beyond the “human limits” as known by Earth standards. They mainly walk, run, or ride to reach their destination. As this is a world of magic, it only stands to reason that they would use magical means of transport. Upon reaching a certain level, they can even fly by themselves.”
“This world is relatively old compared to Earth, being about 700 billion years old,” said Michael. “On top of that, while technically speaking, being less technologically developed than Earth, they have discovered an interesting magical system used to evaluate the status of an individual. This tells them for one thing, their potential, and for another, the level of their current abilities.”
“You will of course have access to all of this yourself,” said Chamuel. “Now to discuss about the races. The races in this world follow classical myth settings, with the only races truly worth mentioning being intelligent ones. These are the dragons, elves, dwarves, beast men, demons, and of course humans. And before you ask, no, the demon race is not a group of true demons, but rather a classification for any being that does not fall under a previously specified category. For example, a phoenix is an intelligent creature, albeit very rare, but does not fall under any of the other racial categories. Thus, it is classified as a demon.”
“Now that all of the basics are out of the way, let’s get started on how we are going to help you in this world,” said Michael.
Hello everyone! Here is my second chapter of my story! This chapter was pretty much an info-dump chapter, so I apologize for that, but I wanted to get all of the facts of the world established before I got to establishing the OP-ness of my MC. Personally, I don't want to just make a character who is flat out OP, so I hope you will appreciate the direction of developments in the future. As always, please point out mistakes I make, or ways I can make the story more enjoyable! I'll try to get another chapter out today, but I make no promises!
