A being floats through a void pierced with twinkling stars and littered with swirling mixtures of cosmic dust. Some of the stars gather closer to get a better look at the being, they recognize it as a human, but not one of their own realm. They note this one lacks the touch of magic, so like the others that came before him, they reach out with the cosmic dust for a tight embrace.
The being begins to emit a rainbow hue as the celestial ash swims around him. As the swirling dust moves faster, the rainbow light starts to seep into the being. Quickly flushing out any and all defining characteristics. Pulsating, the light was dimming. The stars that had embraced him began to panic, streaking this way and that as they screamed.
Who shall take this one?
Who will lay claim?
Not me!
If no one, then this one is lost!
On the last flicker before the rainbow light would dissipate into the darkness, a red radiance greater than the rest flew forward, and absorbed the flickering light. “I claim this one. This one is unlike the others that came before, I tire of the games that you all play. Is there no one that will stand with me against them.”
Another radiance, this one blue, a tad brighter than the red one joins the red radiance, “I shall stand with you brother. I am tired of the petty plots from our kin, order must be restored.” As if on cue, another being devoid of magic drifted forward. The blue radiance drew the being in, “I claim this one.”
“If you two are going to play, I’ll play as well,” a yellow radiance, brighter than the two, came forward.

The red radiance flickered at the words of the yellow, “I am surprised you want to play with us sister, but you are more than welcome to join us two.”
The blue shined bright for a moment, “What a joy!”
A rumbling voice bellowed from somewhere in the void, “Of course you three want to play now. You three are too late to stop me from winning this game. The Change is coming, and I intend to come out on top this time.”
Another magic less being floated from the void, “This one is mine!.” The yellow radiance drew in the figure with more vigor than the rest.
The void spoke again, “You may have chosen three, but it matters not. I still have one more chosen than you all!” The lesser lights began swirling closer to the red, blue, and yellow radiances.
We want to play!
You can’t have all of them!
I want the next one!”
“Now that you caused all of this excitement, I think it may be a while before any of you get another avatar.” The void jabbed at the three brights of his kin, “I wish you all the best of luck.”
Even though there was no light or sign of the void’s leave, the malicious pressure that was once surrounding the lights disappeared.
The three greater brights revolved around each other and shot away from the rest.
Red led his brother and sister forward, “We must hurry!”
Yellow zipped to the side of her brother, “Don’t forget about us brother! We are just as excited as you!”
“I’m not ready yet, I have yet to give my avatar form or soul. Have you two done so already?” Blue spoke from behind the two.
Red’s hue became more and more saturated to the point of looking like a mass of burning blood, “I’m all done! I’ll see you two later!” Red left his brother and sister to form their avatars, he could no longer contain his excitement to play the game with his siblings.
