Chapter I - The Queen is Born

Chapter I - The Queen is Born

Thousands of years before the modern time in the kingdom far away from human interaction, the first daughter of the line of the Cadis family was born in Lukedonia.

Nobody had expected that the heir to the throne will be a daughter as the line of Cadis born were men. Only Raskreia was the female only female lord but that was on the side of her family and not the Cadis.

Maximillian, son of Raizel and Raskreia, did not expect the outcome. He solely believed of the upcoming prophecy that was engraved on the previous lords' tomb that the son of the noblesse will bore a child that will change the governance into rage, violence and neglect of one's kingdom.

He researched and studied to avoid such prophecy and learned that IF he changed the current leadership from lordship to monarchy, a son will be born and continue the legacy of the previous nobles who protected humans and maintained the balance of the world.

Maximillian couldn't stop thinking where he went wrong from his research. He worries so much that he didn't show his face to his wife who just gave birth to their first born.

'Where? Where and how did I calculated it wrong? I followed the stone tablets. I listened and followed Raizel and the jury of this kingdom but why was I given the offspring that I never wanted yet might be the cause of the destruction not this whole kingdom but this whole world? Was it because I married an Atlanti and not a noble? No, that must not be it.'

Drowned in his thoughts, Maximillian did not notice Rai and Franken enter his office. Maximillian has his feet firm on the ground, gazing far outside of the window.

"Sorry for the intrusion, your highness..." a familiar voice cleared it's throat and continued "...master and I had visited the queen to greet the princess but we didn't found you there. We were expecting that you'd be there... expecting."

"Ah, Franken." Maximillian got shaken up and immediately prepared tea for his father. "Apologies as I was finishing some of the kingdom tasks but I did heard that I... had a daughter." His voice was inaudible at the mention of his offspring.

"I will take care of those." Franken took the cup of teas from Maximillian and placed it on the coffee table just where is Rai was sitting next to.

"Please, don't be worried." Rai gently spoke as he took a sip of the tea that was prepared by his son.

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

Worried as his, Maximillian took a seat across his father and gave a deep sigh. He threw all his weight on the seat underneath him as a gesture to show his father that this is a huge deal that is needed to be worried about.

"Why would I not, father? It was stated on the previous lords' tomb that I will bear a daughter who will end not just Lukedonia but even the land of the humans on which you loved. I even followed mother's final instruction before she goes to eternal sleep. I changed the leadership into monarchy. I let the people of Lukedonia run freely. I even fought the endless war yet here I am, still having a daughter whom I am afraid to!" Maximillian vent out all of his frustration to Raizel as he doesn't have any other solution to his problem.

"Listen to me, Maximillian." Franken butted in. "I will speak not as your subject but as your friend. She might be what the prophecy had described but she will still remain your daughter. You teach her the right path and she will be guided properly. You're not alone. You have Reina who will teach her the proper guide of being a royalty. I am here and master to teach her what is good and bad. You are here for her as a father who will teach her how to love not just her people but everyone in this world. If you keep on believing such prophecy, you will attract and and it wouldn't just cause you sleepless nights but fear. Remember, you deemed yourself as king as approval of the jury and master and all of the people of Lukedonia, not just a single offspring of yours will make you put your tail between your legs, right?"

Maximillian, shakenly nodded yet still shows in his eyes the worry and fear that this result might be. "But--" his sentence was cut as a guard hurriedly came in, catching his breath. "Your majesty, the queen is looking for you."

He signaled the guard that he will be on his way and gave a bow to Franken and Raizel. "I shall return to my wife. I appreciate the small talk." he gave a bow and made his way to the delivery room in the palace.

As Maximillian is on the way, the echo of the newborn was heard across the hall. Midwives can be heard in the room, panicking and worrying as the princess of the kingdom won't stop crying.

"I am here." He barged in the room and immediately went beside his wife who was nursing the crying child in her arms.

"Where have you been? I've asked everyone to look for you yet you can't be found else where."

"Apologies. I had a talk with Raizel and Franken."

"Is it still the prophecy? Maximillian, she is your child. What do you have to worry about? What are you even afraid of the outcome that she might cause?"

Maximillian shook his head and took the child off her wife's arms. Only then, the child stopped crying which calmed everyone down. Even though being just born, the child smiled at her father which bought tears to his eyes.

Reina is right.

What can he possibly be afraid of? He is his offspring. Nothing can go wrong as long as she is raised right.

"Shin." He whispered. "I'll call her Shin."

She was named Antonnette Yamaguchi, following the last name of her mother which is also the surname used by Maximillian.
