Beep. Beep. Beep
“Hmm…” Turning off the alarm, Midori looked across at her google assistant. 5:45… Crawling back into bed, she stared at her phone. ...It’ll ring. Wrapping herself in her soft and warm blanket, she fell asleep.
6:00 a.m. Midori was pulled awake again by her phone alarm, slightly frowning as she was reluctant to leave her bed. Standing up, she went to get some clothes.
“Midori?” Her attention was caught by her father’s voice outside the door.
“Yes?”
“When does your school start?”
“Eight...no, 8:35 a.m. today,” she said. Since it’s Tuesday, teachers meeting.
“Okay, we’ll leave at 7:30 today, not seven.”
“Oh, great…” Midori flew back into her bed, searching for the little warmth that still lingered and laid back down, once again wrapping herself in her blanket, and fell asleep.

Reading manga on her phone, Midori sat on a one-person couch with her legs bending to fit on the couch. Glancing at the clock at the corner of her phone, she sighed within. 40 more minutes…
When there were 10 minutes left until the first class start, Midori put on her shoes and left the cafeteria. After walking upstairs, she opened her locker, took out her math book and went into a room 6 meters away.
Putting her book on the desk and backpack on the ground, she went and placed her ID card on the sensor at her teacher desk. The red light flickered green, then Midori took her card and went back to her seat.
As usual. Taking notes, listening to lectures, class activities, idling in French class, gym, lunch.

Period 7. Listening to the orchestra teacher talking, Midori was holding her violin. Her bow dropped out of her hand. She snapped awake and picked it up, placing it between her legs. Then she yawned and her eyes started to close again; the teacher had been talking for 20 minutes now since class started, and he was still talking.
Normally, we would be playing right now but why is he talking so much today? She didn’t know or remember because...Well, she only listened to about 10 percents of what he was saying.
They played for 10 minutes, then Midori went to her last class, biology. Checked in with her ID cards, she listened to her teacher’s interesting lecture, and that was her day.
The bell rang. Midori went to the math hall where her locker laid, the first one on the second floor. She sat on a one-person couch again like in the morning and plugged in her phone charger.
Listening to classical music, she did her homework in a flash and put the textbooks in her locker. Waiting for school to start in the morning, waiting for her pick-up in the afternoon.
Throughout the whole day, Midori had been smiling as much as she could. That did slightly cheer herself up, but now she was bored again since there were not much people here anymore for her to smile at; she already finished her homework in class, too.

Playing Minecraft still didn’t relieve Midori from feeling bored so she closed the game and watched random YouTube videos.
Midori looked at the clock. If she goes to take a shower now… She paused and then returned to watching YouTube again.
“Midori!” Her mother shouted from the kitchen on the ground floor, “Did you take a shower?”
“Not yet,” Midori replied.
“When are you going to go take a shower?” her voice was irritated, “It’s 6 and you’re still not showered. We are going to have dinner without you.”
“I am going now…” She said with a sigh.
“I don’t know what to do with you, it’s 6 o’clock!” Midori’s mother repeatedly saying the same thing again and again, irritating Midori. She also added other topics to scold her.
Even though Midori was irritated, it was only slightly as her face was expressionless whilst taking her bathrobe and went to the bathroom.
The water somehow calmed her so she staying in there for quite long. Then…
Knock knock knock
...startled her, Midori jumped with a gasp.
“What?” She said.
“Hurry, we going to eat before you!” Her big sister, Nanaka said.
“Okay...”
By the time that she finished and went downstairs, they were already eating. Midori took her seat and joined them, it was not the first time that she was late.
So many times that even Tosaka, her mother, stopped chastising her for being late. Midori would only be chastised if the water dripped to the ground floor. Fortunately, it didn't, not today.
They talked, Midori stayed silence. She did add some words but that was it since she didn't have anything to say or talk about.
After dinner, Midori went upstairs.
“Where are you going?” Noukyuu, her father, asked.
“Upstairs.”
“Why don't you stay here?”
“To do what?” Midori said.
“Stay here and play,” he said.
“What is there to play?”
Answering her question, Noukyuu said, “Well, talking to each other?”
“...” Midori said as she lifted her leg and continued walking, “I have homework.”
When she was in her room, Midori just watched YouTube videos and read manga since she didn’t know what else to do.
The last thing Midori did that day was going to bed. And…
Boring was the last thought she had before falling asleep.
