Noah opened his eyes to find himself in the middle of a…. road that was packed with pedestrians, of all places. It was the familiar bustle of New York City, the city that never sleeps, in a completely new environment. Men and women adorned in fine, colorful silk clothing walked past him, pausing to browse the wares of the small, wooden stalls that were no more than a few logs propping up a thatched straw roof littered on both sides of the street- He took a glimpse of the wares, expecting clothing, medieval children’s toys or something along those lines, but instead he found weapons of all manners put on display, a variety of luminescent crystals displayed within wooden boxes that each had a guard that was dressed in animal furs of some sort, armed with a spear and a long knife, armor and even the carcasses of beasts the kind that Noah had never seen- one looked like a wild boar, except it had a long, pointed horn sticking out of its forehead and had terrifyingly sharp teeth, while another resembled a tiger, except it had two long tusks poking out of its jaw, and its fur was a strikingly white color instead of the usual yellow.
The men wore long, flowing robes that were tied together at the waist with a sash, and from an initial examination Noah could see four colors that were predominant- indigo, white, red and a bright orange- the dress resembled those of Buddhist monks back on Earth, but Noah figured that it was also a comfortable outfit to engage in old fashioned combat, considering each man carried some sort of weapon openly.
The women were also dressed in a similar outfit, but their dresses resembled more a Japanese kimono than the outfit of a monk, tied at the waist with a wider band that wrapped around their waist. Their outfit was far more graceful than their male counterparts, with delicate embroidery done with a golden thread, depicting either magnificent birds with anatomy unfamiliar to Noah or what he could only imagine was the local fauna. Their dresses came in, again, four colors, but this time it was- indigo, white, purple and a bright orange, and each dress had a little embroidery done, perhaps at the directions of the owner, that demarcated one from the rest. No two works of embroidery seemed to match each other.
From the incline the dirt road was running at, Noah estimated that they were situated on some sort of hill, and he forced himself from the constant throng of crowds to get a clearer view of the situation. Noah’s eyes slightly widened as he realized that he was in a city built into the side of the hill, but that wasn’t the surprising part- at the very top of the hill, was a golden pagoda that was at least twenty stories tall, projecting its radiance over the entire city. Flanking it were five smaller, ten story pagodas in the color’s indigo, purple, white, bright orange, and red- which was definitely no coincidence. Maybe their clothing signified what organization they belonged to, but Noah couldn’t see any people with golden robes, so he wasn’t sure.
Welcome to Floor Two of The Tower of Glory, The Sect City of Saemanis. Congratulations to the 954 brave challengers that survived Gridlocked. As a reward, this floor will have various opportunities and rewards for those clever enough to seek them.
The Sect City of Saemanis was once a small town ruled by five different powers, but that changed with the arrival of an unknown, powerful sect that went by the name of Saemanis. They claimed to be a power from the distant, yet unfathomably mighty Western Prefecture, but the rumors swirling around the sect indicate that that the ‘Saemanis Sect’ is naught but a false identity. Any attempt made to investigate deeper into the roots of the Saemanis Sect or ascertain the identity of their sect leader is met by disappearance or death. Who is truly behind the mighty power that can suppress the local sects with ease, and what are they running from?
Optional Quest: Solve the mystery behind the Saemanis Sect.
The Sect City of Saemanis has many masters, some concealed, while others proud to flaunt their prowess within the sect system.
Optional Quest: Find and convince a master to teach you a combat art.
Conditions for Ascension: None. Upon the completion of the time limit, ascension will be automatic.
Time remaining: 7 D 24 H
Note: The Guards appointed by the Saemanis Sect will respond to any disturbances made within the city grounds.
“Psst Liam, you know what the mystery is?” Noah lightly whispered under his breath, as he ducked into a nearby alley.
“Of course, lad,”
“That was code for tell me and let’s get over it.”
“Eh, and what’s the fun in that? Don’t be a killjoy, lad.”
“Tch,” Noah muttered under his breath, and then opened his inventory. The real reason he wanted some place away from the crowd was to try out his new rewards. The reason he hadn’t done so earlier, back on Gridlocked, was because it would simply paint too large a target on his back. Boy, he had struck gold!

Temporal Compression- The Goblin Lord’s Hauberk adjusts its size and weight and comfort according to the wearer’s specifications, to a maximum length of 20 meters.
Self- Repair- The armor has the capability to automatically regenerate all damage sustained within 72 hours.

Pseudo- Primordial Spirit (4/4)- This set was an heirloom of the Goblin Race, passed from one generation of leaders to the next, the elders of each generation imbuing a small portion of their primordial spirit within the armor. Cooldown- 2 days.
Noah had received a pair of boots, greaves, gloves and of course, the hauberk, from the Goblin Lord set, and boy, he couldn’t help but crack a smile every time he saw the set. Holy freaking moly, if that wasn’t op, he didn’t know what was!

Oh yeah, he’d gotten the other half of the [Fragmented Primordial Spirit of the Titan (Damaged)] from the Goblin Lord, Liam had explained that to begin with the Goblin Lord wasn’t anything, but a Skirmisher chosen through an ancient ritual to inherit the Primordial Spirit of the Titan, that was the reason why he was so large when compared to his fellow goblins. And from what Noah could gather, it had a far greater origin stat than Noah could even imagine at this stage, as it could keep up the transformation 100 percent of the time.
Fragmented Primordial Spirit of the Titan (Repaired), Earth Ranked Primordial Spirit.
An insignificant spirit fragment of the being known as Azamaroth, The Last Titan, given voluntarily to the Primordial One as part of an ancient pact. The Primordial Spirit allows one to channel the sacred bloodline of the Titans, receiving a portion of The Titan’s revered ability to change their size according to will and their infinite strength.
Effects: Titan Body
+70 Strength
Duration (Based on Origin Stat): 30 minutes.
Ascension Conditions:
Slay 100,000 Earth Ranked Beasts.
That… Ascension condition was a bit fucking ridiculous, but then Liam had told him that the Titan’s were supposed to be one of the most powerful races in existence; yet somehow had be been hunted to extinction.
Then, there was his old friend, the trusty gladius.
Gladius of Piercing Frost, Quality: Uncommon
Requirements- 30 Dexterity
A short double-edged blade of fine make that is ideally most lethal when paired with a shield, the gladius’ short size and light weight makes it a weapon that enjoys a distinct advantage when paired against a foe with a weightier, more unwieldy weapon in close quarters. However, the gladius’ short length may also prove to be a heavy disadvantage when faced with foes that carry weapons with overwhelming reach and range.
Additional Effects-
Flash strike- Land five successful strikes on a single entity (monster or human) within 60 seconds, and the sixth strike will enjoy a 150 percent increase in speed. Cooldown- 300 seconds.
Ice Blitz- Every sixth successful strike on a single entity has a 50% chance to inflict a freezing effect (efficacy of freezing effect is dependent upon the entity’s constitution stat)
Ice Clone- Summon an ice doppelganger to fight alongside you for a duration of 30 minutes. The doppelganger shares 50% of your stats and can only obey basic instructions. Cooldown- 7 days. Note- Doppelganger cannot be summoned with primordial spirit active.
He had also received a part of the shield he had so ruthlessly shattered, thankfully it came with the self-repair facility. It said it needed 72 hours to fix itself, and before that Noah couldn’t see the specifications, so he’d just have to suck it up and wait.
And lastly, there was the mask. Of course, how could he forget the mask.
Mask of a thousand faces, Uncommon
Requirements- 30 Intelligence
A mask crafted for only the finest of assassin’s, the Mask of a thousand faces lets the wearer assume the appearance of any person they can visualize, down to an exact replica of their facial structure and even any manner of clothing that is included in the visualization. Each transformation lasts for a period of twenty-four hours and will dissipate at any form of vigorous physical contact. Cooldown- 2 days.
