Hi! The names ThePrimeMorganian, or TMPrime. I'm a new user and fanfic writer. This is my first ever fanfic. Now I would just like to be clear that I do fanfics to do fanfics, or for the heck of it, whichever makes more sense. Sorry, but I'm really not that creative, so don't expect more than the regular OP character adventure with just a bit of plot advancement, or something along the lines of average or just 'meh'. English is also not my first and primary language, though I'm not that good with my native language either...... Here we go!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nothingness was what first greeted Zeno once he used the capsule and entered Royal Road, a newly-released virtual reality MMORPG, owned by the business powerhouse: Primer Corporation.

A gray box filled with text popped in front him, the words on it being echoed by a feminine voice coming from nowhere.
Not even hesitating, the man let out a clear "Yes."
Royal Road recognizes Zeno Prax as the user. The Starting Process shall go ahead as the user's set preferences. Confirm?YesNo

Now, normally, almost never really, this would pop out. It wasn't commonly known, nor was it a secret, that one could have their activation process set in advance. As long as they gave the need scanning info, it can be done. But it would just be a waste of time, as it has no other features except help those who really wants to skip the activation process, so no one else does it. But Zeno was an exception, a very special exception. Why you ask?
That's because he owned the business that made and owned Royal Road. Yep, he owned Primer Corporation, so he also owned Royal Road. In another reality, Primer Corp. would only just be some company known for making the game that would become extremely famous. Now in that life, a man called Lee Hyun would become the character Weed. But not here. No, this particular reality was unlucky enough to be chosen by omnipotent being known as The Primer. It's quite obvious who that is now, isn't it?
The Primer, or Zeno Prax in this universe, was a relatively unknown all-powerful being who shouldn't have given two shits running a company, much less playing a VR game. But he did. Because this particular all-powerful being was bored, bored beyond compare, and decided to take a vacation.
You see, The Primer came from the void known as The Nothingness. Simple, I know. A bit cliche on the empty dimension-thingy, also true. But The Nothingness was more different than any void, abyss, or dimension you may know. It lacked everything: logic, concepts, sounds, feelings, senses, etc. At most, the only things that could have existed there were Time, Space, and The Primer.
But rather than the long rant about the first being to exist, his (It, originally, but eventually he chose a gender.) witness of the One True Creation, the birth of the First Ultiverse, the start of his journey to the various born Ultiverses and rise to power, blah, blah, blah. Let's just put it this way:
Reality And The Primer is the only resident of The Nothingness, and can travel into every Ultiverse. He'd had a long time to experience anything and everything possible, honed every skill and every ability he had to become what he was today. Perfect was not accurate, nothing was perfect, even him. No, he could make himself in a way, some ways, perfect in the perspective of many. Whether it be strength, speed, beauty, power, competence. But to him, perfection means reaching your limit, your peak. And he never wanted to, that means you've nothing to do, to reach for then. But enough about that, let's talk about why a being like him was doing something like this. As explained before, Zeno was bored. He'd done practically everything, but every moment, every experience was unique in their own way. He'd become the hero, sidekick, villain, henchman, bystander or 'that one guy', the mystery character, vigilante, man of the law, tyrant, etc. Now, he wanted to lay low, take it easy. So he found a simple, yet interesting universe and dove into it. It took no effort at all to replace the reality of the company, of the people who owned and was connected to Royal Road, with his own existence. He became the sole owner of the most powerful and successful business in all of the world, the grips of Primer Corp. reaching every kind of business: manufacturing, merchandising, service of all kinds. Malls, car brands, machines, you name it. Of course, Zeno still focused on what made this universe different compared to some of the more common ones, yet still remained relatively simple: Royal Road. He could have used his reality warping to go what the hell, I'll make reality a game, but figured he'd rather not mess things up too much. He also made the game more realistic, as it were, meaning anything that the former makers may have missed or not added, or just something he liked to add or change, he did. The last thing he changed was giving Lee Hyun a break, paying off the debt collectors before they could collect from him, and then assured their now wealthy lifestyle would remain unchanged and peaceful (with a few more lucky strokes of luck). Weed would still exist, and he and Seoyoon would meet and be together, he made sure of that. It wouldn't be for a few years, but it'd happen eventually. Sorry, but laying low or not, he'd rather not deal with the 'focus' of the reality, because if he hadn't do this Zeno couldn't resisted the temptation messing with the teenager for entertainment. After all, this was supposed to be a peaceful vacation, or what passed off as such for him anyway. The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement. ----------------------------------------
Okay, that was more than enough of that. Let's focus on the present, shall we. Now what made Zeno's advanced Starting Process unique was that he gave his more features - ownership of the game and reality-warping powers tend to give one such liberty. For one, he had his own personal race: Celestial. His appearance remained the same: Laxus during the Grand Magic Games. Yes, he'd been there, several times. But we're not gonna go into that. So, here he made himself look exactly like Laxus, down to his coat. Thankfully the Fairy Tail Universe wasn't known here. ----------------------------------------
The Celestial race. This was certainly an unorthodox race. Not All-Powerful, since he didn't want to be that OP kinda guy, at first anyway. He liked earning what he had, though he wouldn't mind putting things in his favor a bit. A Celestial's appearance depends on the user's choice, even with other races. A Celestial could look like a Human, Elf, Dwarf, Orc, and such. The only thing that distinguishes them from others would be the tattoo of a dragon's head the size of an adult human's fist, that can be either on the back or on the chest. Concerning racial traits, they're definitely one of a kind. A Celestial starts with most of their stats at 1, except for Vitality, Luck, Wisdom and Charisma. These each starts at 15. Not much to start with, but that's where their personal bonus comes to play. They're actually better for the Virtual Reality part of VRMMORPGS, rather than the RPG part VRMMORPGs. For one, Celestials have much slower EXP gain, only receiving about 25% or 1/4 than that compared to usual races. This means leveling up would be a bitch. They also only gain 3 Stat Points per level. Considering only leveling and depending on stat points gained from it, it puts them at a major disadvantage in the long run. This is because Celestials were made for labor. Not jobs per say, but rather, a user who plays a Celestials would have to get their hands dirty and sweat, a lot, in order to keep up with the other races. As such, they also gain more when they were persevere in their work. Because in return, a Celestial character gains stats and skill EXP at least twice as much, and also in 1.5x faster the time. Meaning if someone were to gain 2 agility and vitality from around 12 hours of training, an average of 1 per 6 hours, a Celestial character could gain around 2 per 4 hours, totaling in around 6 agility and vitality at the same amount of time! Of course, they have another bonus: skill gaining. As long as a user have experienced enough over time, puts extreme effort and focus as well as having a reasonable process in doing so, he or she can create skills/abilities more freely, with unlimited skill capacity. Like gaining a Healing Factor, Elemental/Magical Immunity and the like from continuously being inflicted wounds and attacked, gaining a Battle/Intimidating Aura from finding a way to harness your Fighting Spirit, or creating Fighting Styles and Attacks through training and/or fighting with specific movements, techniques and patterns. Some skills/abilities that are specifically for other classes and races are unavailable to them. Of course, most combat and crafting skills doesn't really need a specific class. One doesn't gain skills willy-nilly, just because they want it. Like using spells randomly and continously to create a spell you want, things like those rarely works. Rarely because there's a very low chance of it being successful, and even then what you get may not be what you intended. ----------------------------------------
Anyways~, other than that and skipping the tutorial stage and giving himself a couple of items, he was like any other newbie. "Yes." And in a flash of light, he appeared in a back alley in the Citadel of Serabourg, Rosenheim. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok, I'll try to add some canon (which would start about a year later), except without Weed. But obviously, there will be some changes, my changes. As for the Celestial race, well Zeno's gonna be OP eventually, rarely losing, and even then only when he wants to, but I like him doing this better. I think there would also be less reason and chance for people to be curious/suspicious about the character's progress, especially if they'd seen him training and shit. Anyway, till next time!
