Princio arrived at the site where the Giga Iron Golem was restrained, with him was the sphere-shaped relic.
“Sir!”
The currently highest-ranked soldier, Commander Lou Pishnick, greeted him with a salute. With his right hand on his left breast, Commander Lou stood straight and awaited for further instructions. The knights around him as well did the same, except for the currently working knights’.
“The golem hasn’t moved since its restraint. We believe that it would move a few minutes or hours later.”
“Good. All of the knights and soldiers, command them to retreat and leave the golem alone.”
Before Commander Lou could respond, Princio talked once more.
“And I mean right this instant.”
“… Yes sir…”
Without questioning the ridiculous command, Commander Lou turned around and raised his voice for all of the knights and soldiers to hear.
“EVERYBODY LISTEN UP!!!”
All of the knights, as well as those who were working or in standby, turned their necks towards the direction of where Commander Lou, as well as Princio stood.
“ALL OF YOU ARE TO RETREAT AT THIS MOMENT AS PER THE FEUDAL LORD’S, PRINCIO GAIZEFF HERMA’S, INSTRUCTION!!!”
After that, the whole area was filled with the sounds of heavy footsteps. The soldiers, who were slow on the uptake, quickly moved as well, following behind the knights who were already far ahead of them. Moments later, the area that was once filled with people, was as desolate as the area where the fight for supremacy last night happened, leaving behind the fallen golem on the ground, restrained with giant chains and magic.
Once all of that was done, Princio stepped ahead of Commander Lou and turned around.
“ALL OF YOU LISTEN!!!”
His loud voice reverberated through the area. He pointed his huge arm that was full of fat at the restrained golem and raised his voice once more.
“YOU SEE THAT GOLEM, THAT GOLEM THAT HAD RUINED OUR PLANS TO DESTROY THE ONLY TUMOR IN THIS WONDERFUL CITY OF GARJO, THE SLUMS!?”
He then raised his other hand up high and let the object within his grasp show. It had the shape of a sphere with a red button at the top.
“THIS OBJECT, THIS RELIC OF THE PAST! THIS WILL BRING AN END TO THAT HINDRANCE!!”
He raised it up high, as high as he could, to make everybody see it. Even though he wasn’t at a stage or an elevated platform, not everyone was able to see it.
“THIS RELIC THAT HAS THE POWER TO DESTROY AN A-RANK MONSTER WILL NOW SHOW ITS STRENGTH TO THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE ABLE TO WITNESS ITS SPLENDOR!!”

The soldiers who were able to see the relic Princio was raising, could not help but question the object. How can one small thing be able to destroy an A-rank monster?
But since it wasn’t their place to ask questions, they just kept it to themselves.
Once Princio was done talking, he set his gaze to Commander Lou and gave it to him.
“Commander Lou, I trust that you will do this task with utmost discipline.”
“…Yes, sir.”
“Good, now plant it where the golem lays. Once that is done, press the red button. What I am giving you, is a bomb, so once you press the button, run for your life, do you understand? I can’t bear it if another one of my trusted subordinates dies, am I correct?”
Princio’s face was smiling like a villain. Commander Lou, who had no other choice but to comply, sunk his shoulders and then responded.
“Yes, sir…’
With hopelessness in his eyes, he set his gazes on the golem.
‘Jessica… Please take care of our daughter for us…’
With that in his thoughts, he resigned himself to his fate.
Even if he wanted to rebel, be it with the slum dwellers, what was waiting for him and his family was nothing but persecution from the crown himself, so all he could do was hope that his wife and daughter would live a better life once all of this blows over.
“As the one in charge, should it not be you who handle this matter?”
While still smiling, Princio made a gesture to go on with his task.
‘This damn feudal lord!!’
While pressuring Commander Lou, Princio was making a smile mentally.
‘If this person dies, then the faction trying to remove me from my position will lose another one of their leaders.’
If that happens, then the faction will lose another one of their influential members. The faction trying to get rid of Princio was one that wanted to get rid of corruption in this city, but because of Princio’s influence, even if he dies, another one from his faction would just manage the city, thus continuing the continued corruption.
By the way, the leader of the faction against Princio was another noble with the same political strength as Princio. Since the frontier city of Garjo elected its Feudal Lord, a.k.a. Mayor, a lot of nobles were vying for the position as well.
‘Justice will be served, just wait, you shit of a Feudal Lord!’
While screaming in his mind, Commander Lou broke into a run towards the golem. Once he arrived, he turned back, only to see the Feudal Lord trying to leave the area along with the other knights and soldiers.
‘Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck…’
Knowing that this was the place he was to die, all he could do was curse mentally.
‘No, I will not die, I will survive, and then…’
He made a vow to survive this seemingly impossible to survive situation. Sadly, it was not meant to be. Once he planted the bomb and pressed the button, it beeped then started a countdown.
[10]
He suddenly heard unfamiliar words, but judging from how it was ticking, he realized that it was a timer.
[9]
Since there was no way to know how much time he had left, all he did was just run, run as fast as he could.
[5]
By the time the countdown reached 5, he was already a few dozens of meters away from the bomb. As expected from a knight from another world where monsters roam, without sufficient strength, even world renowned athletes would be killed in an instant against monsters that defied common sense.
[3]
When 3 seconds remained, he was already 100 meters away from the bomb. Although he was completely exhausted from sprinting with all of his strength, the will to survive drove him beyond his limits.
[1]
‘I will survive!! I will survive and kill that fat bastard!!’
With those thoughts repeating in his head to push him through, he found a good spot to hide where he could try and avoid the blast.
‘And once this is over, I’ll live a life as a farmer or adventurer with my family.’
Those were his last thoughts before he was sent to oblivion.

A blinding light encompassed the area, as well the areas beyond it. Naturally, this reached where Commander Lou was hiding, as well as the running away Feudal Lord. It even reached up to the slums. It encompassed the entire city as if God had descended onto it, and suddenly…
BOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!!!!!
Everything vanished. After a loud explosion, the entire city of Garjo as well as the area around it turned to rubble and powder.
Except a completely unscathed bell that was blown away by the explosion.
