(I see that you have been diligently securing your dungeon since the time I left.)
Just like the old days, the text blurred before being replaced by new lines of texts.
“I guess that since you are back, does it mean that I reached level 5?”
(Isn’t that obvious? By the way, who am I communicating with? Is it Drake or Gren?)
“… Uhhh… Both…?”
I was left speechless at the question of TB no. 2. Since I didn’t have an answer to that, or more like I was caught of guard by that question, I had saucers for eyes.
(Anyway, that isn’t important. Since I am already here, allow me to show you the ropes of the [Dungeon Community].)
I subconsciously erased the earlier question by TB no. 2 and focused more on his explanation.
(First of all, open your [Dungeon Menu]. You’ll notice that the [Dungeon Community] tab is now accessible. To continue with the explanation, please go ahead and open it.)
As always with the formal tone, I did as it instructed and followed the instructions down to the last letter, although it wasn’t that hard since I just had to open two windows.
Once I opened the [Dungeon Community] tab, I was rendered speechless once again.
(Once you have accessed the [Dungeon Community] tab, you will be greeted by a new window different from the others.)
TB no. 2 was right, it really was different from the others.
‘Is this fa*ebo*k?’
That was the only conclusion I could come up with. There were photos of other dungeon masters, some text sharing, and even memes…
(What you are seeing now is just one of many windows that you can access. At the top left of the window, you will notice a blue button. Click it.)
I did as I was told and the next thing, a drop down panel appeared. Listed in the drop down panel were various text lines, such as [Dungeon Auction], [Dungeon Forums], [Dungeon Casino], etc.
(There are dozens of options you can choose. As stated by the rule 35 in our [Dungeon Community] house rules, if it exists, then there is an option for it.)
“…”
Somehow, it was familiar… No, very familiar… The digit was just off by one, but it feels like it had the same concept.
(Now then, off to the main part of the [Dungeon Community] explanation.)
I erased the earlier thought in my mind and paid attention towards the next lines that were about to greet me.
(The [Dungeon Community] was made to make communication with [Dungeon Masters] easy and without bloodshed. We here in the [Dungeon Community] strive to create a place where [Dungeon Masters] don’t have to necessarily kill each other off and help each other in times of crisis, thus the creation of the [Dungeon Community].)
This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.
I can see where this is going. Since [Dungeon Masters] have limited communication areas because of them not being able to leave their dungeon unattended like I can do, or sometimes when [Dungeon Masters] get off on the wrong foot and kill each other, the [Dungeon Community] was made to reduce the number of deaths of [Dungeon Masters].
(But do note that if a war occurs between two [Dungeon Masters], the [Dungeon Community] will temporarily ban them from access during the course of the war. This is to ensure that information about the other party cannot be easily gathered.)
“Wait… War…?”
(Correct. Although it is called war, it is like a war game where two [Dungeon Masters] will go toe to toe with each other using their dungeons. Death is not an option in this war, and the loser has to abide by the winner’s demand that was stated in a contract before agreeing to go to war.)
“Oh… I thought that war will inevitably lead to some deaths… I guess not…”
Just before I was about to breathe a sigh of relief, TB no. 2 poured cold water down my spine.
(Oh there are deaths involving cases with wars between [Dungeon Masters]. It is when the loser refuses to uphold the contract. In a case of that incident, the loser is stripped of 75% of his total current MP and a 15-year ban from the [Dungeon Community]. They are also subjected to 50% lower MP income for the duration of the ban. It is technically a death sentence for a [Dungeon Master] since lower income means intruders can easily conquer his dungeon.)
“…”
I take it back, war is scary after all…
(Although there are some minor cases of genocide between [Dungeon Masters], like yours, Drake, there is nothing the [Dungeon Community] can do since there was no contract previously stated.)
“…”
(And sometimes because of that, they are shunned by other [Dungeon Masters] in the [Dungeon Community] once they have had wind on it.)
“… But since Drake… I died to Karo without reaching level 5…”
(The incident will remain hidden unless you have proof that you died to Karo, which is unbelievable since you only have one life.)
I was shocked speechless at the information dump given to me by TB no. 2. If that really was true, then Karo was just doing as he please knowing that he killed me without any consequences.
“That damned minotaur…”
I was enraged by the fact that I died and no one knew about it. Various emotions coursed through my veins, but one was evident.
Rage.
“I swear Karo, next time, I will kill you.”
While engraving in my heart the prospect of revenge, I cooled myself down and read more of TB no. 2’s explanation.
(Anyway, we have strayed too far from the original explanation. As I have stated earlier, the [Dungeon Community] was made to be a tool for communication across [Dungeon Masters], in the option menu where you pressed the blue button, look for [Dungeon Thread].)
“… Wow… It even had a thread of its own…”
While still dazed by the fact that the [Dungeon Community] was so modern, I did as it instructed and found myself with various of threads I can join, ranging from [Information about the country of Gaizeff] to [How to handle your dungeon with care and kill all intruders].
(This option allows you to view various sorts of information as long as it is composed by other [Dungeon Masters] and publicly shared through this medium. So go ahead and experiment.)
My jaws dropped to the floor when I saw a thread containing the information about the country I am currently in, as well as a thread about the summoned heroes. There was even a thread about the city of Frenia.
“This is… a very good tab…”
(That is all of the information I am allowed to give you for this meeting, if you reach [Dungeon Level 20], I will return and give you a new announcement.)
And once I was able to finish reading the text on the window, TB no. 2 vanished like before while saying goodbye and telling me to level up to 20 for me to meet it again.
“… Thank you again for your help, TB no. 2”
I gave my thanks towards the non-visible TB no. 2 and closed the [Dungeon Menu].
“I’ll access this later, for now, I’ll go eat and show my face to the guild after I eat.”
I went back to the house where Mari and food were waiting for me.
