Chapter 5

He Ming shook his hand and the cigarette butt fell to the ground, causing the sparks to hiss and extinguish.

He felt as if his heart had also darkened, and while he hesitated, perhaps something had gone forever. And he still arrogantly defended the armed city, singing and dancing in peace.

He raised his hand and rubbed his eyebrows, refusing to enter the private room anymore. He only called Awen and said he had something else to do, so he drove back home.

After arriving home, I didn't want anything and fell asleep. The next day, I woke up and went to work as usual.

Unconsciously, half a month passed quickly.

Actually, it's just a lack of a bed mate, but that's all.

Just that day when I went to Jiamei to sign a contract, as soon as I arrived at the door, I saw Qi Han walking out of the office building and greeting him through the car window. He Ming, both public and private, couldn't pretend not to see him, so he had to roll down the car window and say a few words to him.

"Are you here to discuss business?"

"Hmm, sign the contract. And you?"

"Let's take a new sample from the next season, we can't always lose to you."

Both of them were busy with something, and after a brief chat, they waved goodbye.

He Ming successfully signed the contract, but when he returned to the company, he always felt something was wrong, as if he had accidentally lost his heart somewhere and couldn't concentrate no matter what.

This is unprecedented for him, who has always been passionate about work. Even the secretary couldn't help but brew coffee for him, gently reminding him to pay attention to his health.

He didn't know what was going on with him, and didn't miss Qi Han very much when he didn't see him, but once he met, his mind was filled with his figure. After finally finishing work, I was supposed to drive home, but when I calmed down, the car had already parked downstairs at Qi Han's house.

He originally had a carefree personality, and now he no longer cared about the cause and effect. He went upstairs and rang the doorbell.

Qi Han waited for a while before opening the door. He was wearing a loose T-shirt and jeans, with slightly messy hair. When he saw him, he was clearly surprised and said, "Manager He, why did you come?"

Without hesitation, He Ming blurted out, "I'll return the key."

"Ah, yes, I've forgotten about it," Qi Han said as he leaned over to let him in. "Could you please make a special trip? I'm really sorry."

He Ming made a vague "hmm" sound, but had no intention of returning the key. He just stared at the table of dishes and asked, "Can you cook?"

"A little bit," Qi Han replied as he was busy pouring water to make tea. "It's too troublesome to pair the dishes, and my cooking skills are not good, so I rarely do it myself."

Not just a few?

He has never seen him cook at all!

They have known each other for two whole years, but he doesn't know Qi Han at all.

He Ming picked up his tea cup and took a sip, seemingly determined to stay on the sofa and said, "So tonight's guest must be very special."

Qi Han immediately laughed and said, "Have you had dinner yet? Do you want to stay and eat together?"

"I'm afraid it's not very convenient."

"It's okay, Xu Le really enjoys the excitement and won't mind."

He Mingyue felt uncomfortable as he listened, but he refused to get up and leave, so he had to sit there and stare at Qi Han.

Qi Han also seemed to find the atmosphere strange. He looked up at the wall clock and said, "I'll go in and make a phone call."

He had been on the phone for quite some time, and He Ming could faintly hear his voice outside, but he didn't know what he had said. It was just that Qi Han's expression was a bit tired when he walked out of the room. But he quickly regained his composure and set up the dishes while saying, "I originally wanted to stir fry two more hot dishes, but with only the two of us, this table should be enough, right?"

He Ming immediately reacted and asked, "Is that guy not coming?"

"He's quite busy today."

He Ming was inexplicably happy for a moment, but then became quite angry: "Since that's the case, I should have notified you in advance."

Qi Han smiled and didn't know if he agreed with his statement, but just opened a bottle of red wine.

Their alcohol tolerance is similar, and they used to occasionally drink together. They just sit face to face in their current capacity, which is the first time.

He Ming tasted the dishes on the table and found that Qi Han's craftsmanship was indeed average, but even so, he was willing to cook his own dishes, which shows how important Xu Le's position is in his mind.

In order to prevent himself from thinking further, He Ming had to ramble on a few topics, while Qi Han's answer was also not on the point, and his level of absent-mindedness was on par with his. Finally, He Ming remembered what happened at KTV that day and asked, "Did you successfully quit smoking?"

"It's only been half a month, how could it be?" Qi Han raised his eyebrows in frustration and said in a low voice, "But now it's transferred to underground work. Don't expose me."

He Ming couldn't understand why he was so cautious and couldn't help but ask, "Is this the stable life you want now?"

Qi Han stopped his chopsticks and thought for a moment, then smiled and said, "Although it lacks a lot of excitement, being able to stabilize and have a serious relationship with someone does bring many unexpected gains."

He Ming couldn't see his sweet smile at the moment. He felt like a fire was burning in his chest. Suddenly, he reached out to cover his hand and asked, "Why is it that guy?"

"Ah?"

"Can't others do it? Is it just him who can't do it?"

"That's not true, but I happened to meet him..."

He Ming held Qi Han's hand tighter and finally spoke out the words hidden in his heart: "The person who first met you is clearly me!"

His face was cold and stern, and his tone was stiff. Rather than confessing, it seemed more like he was going to argue with someone.

Qi Hanli was naturally frightened and widened his eyes in astonishment.

He Ming knew he couldn't miss this opportunity again, but the damn doorbell rang at that moment. Qi Han was stunned for a moment, then regained his senses and stood up to open the door.

But just as he walked to the door, before he could grasp the doorknob, He Ming hugged him from behind.

"Don't go." The familiar aura brushed over the sensitive area behind his ear, followed by He Ming's deep and hoarse voice. "Don't open the door."
