“Your Majesty, we finished sorting out the papers,” Scylla said after 3 hours has passed.
I told Scylla and Heath to help Adam sort it out.
“I have also finished setting up the guild, Your Majesty.” Azalea came in with a bunch of papers in her hand. “The carpenters already started building. It’ll be done in 3 days.”
Wow, as expected, things get done quickly when you assign the right people to do the task.
As for Henry, I assigned him in the knight’s order as he is experienced in that part. He wasn’t originally from Aswain; he was a former general on Kanzas but was exiled due to some mistake that he personally confessed to me. He came out clear so I decided to accept him. It’d be a waste to neglect a talent like that.
Raven, on the other hand, is currently shutting himself in the archives. He was so fired up to learn about the finances of the palace. Yep, he is Aswain’s financial manager. I also learned that he is from the bloodline of a griffin so I guess it is only natural for him to guard a treasure… and manage it obviously.
“Did you name the guild like I want it to?”
“Yes, Your Majesty. Imperium will arise in three days.”
“Magnificent! Now, go discuss with Adam and lay out some tasks befitting for the subjects of Aswain.”
We spent the rest of the day adjusting the work on the palace. We even ended up having our lunch inside.
“Have a nice night ahead, Your Majesty.” They all bid goodbye when the clock strikes 7 PM. I told them they can stop at 5 but they just won’t listen except Adam who actually left at 5. Hahaha. Their behavior reminds me of the corporate world.
“Madame,” Lyra called when I stepped out of the office. Has she been waiting outside since earlier?
“I’m not having dinner.” I walked passed her and slowly took steps so she could catch up.
“I already know that. I only came here to walk you to your room. Should I also prepare your bath?”
“No, no. I can take care of myself. Besides,” I turned to her when I remembered something.
“What’s your bloodline, Lyra?” I was really curious since this morning.
“I am just a normal human, Madame. However, I have the ability to heal the wounds of someone.”
“Oh, really? That’s amazing.” Geez, why don’t I have that kinda cool ability too?
“Why do you ask, Madame?”
“I was just curious since most of my new aides are from unique bloodlines.”
Heath can transform into any animal he has seen including its abilities. Scylla is a siren that escaped from the grasp of her evil mother and has been running around to find a permanent place to settle down. Raven, as I said earlier, is a Griffin. Azalea has the ability to bend natural resources to her will. Henry is just a normal human, however, he also possesses great strength. That’s what he said. I’ll test it out later. And I, the typical dragon you probably heard in every corner you can find.
Wow, we are actually a pack of powerful beings. Aswain can rule Atlas in no time since of course, I would put all of them to good use. Only after the paper works of the palace is finished though.
“Is that so?”
“How’s your new companion, Lyra?” Adam told me earlier that Lyra picked 3 people to work with her.
She smiled upon hearing my question.
“They are all doing great. They were able to have a grasp of things quickly.”
“Hmm, that’s good.”

“However, Madame, Miss Priscilla is from a noble family. She is the daughter of a Marquess and I remembered what you said before we came here to the palace.”
Ah, about her being my temporary court lady until I found a noble who is willing to serve me.
“You’ve been doing good in your position so you’ll be my court lady until you decide to not work as one.” I’m basically saying that I won’t strip her of that position.
“B-but—”
I stopped walking and turned to her.
“It’s either you continue working as my court lady or I’ll banish you from this place,” I grinned at her making her expression a bit surprised. She bowed before speaking.
“Then, I’ll do my best to be your court lady, Madame.”
I pat her head before I continued walking.
“You’re already one,” of the best. She’s really hardworking.
When we reached my room which was a 10-minute walk, by the way, I looked at her once more.
“Your healing abilities… have you found someone who can teach you properly?”
She shook her head. “I heard from Mr. Adam that healers are a rare occurrence that’s why we decided to keep it a secret. I’ve been trying my best to learn more about it but until I can find someone who can teach me about this stuff, I’ll try not to get in trouble.” She chuckled.
Hmm… I see.
“Okay. It was a bit surprising that you have that ability. Let’s call it a night then.”
“Goodnight, Madame.” She said before leaving.
I closed the door behind me and then took quick steps to drop my body on the bed. Hah~ today is very eventful.
“Leonora, keep in mind that we bow to no one. We are superior beings.”
The little girl nodded while eating the cupcake.
“Give it a rest. This is not the right time to talk about it, Ulysses.”
The man pouted his lips before leaning his head on the woman’s shoulder.
“I know. I’m just a bit sad that Leonora is growing quickly. Look at her, wasn’t she just a baby yesterday?”
The woman chuckled while stroking his hair.
“Should we make another baby?” The man asked.
“Only if you’ll be the one giving birth to it.”
They both laughed while watching their daughter smear the cupcake’s icing on her face.
“Nyam… nyam…”
“…it looks like you had a pleasant dream, Madame.”
I sniffed hard when the pleasant smell I just had earlier disappeared. What an odd dream.
Lyra raised the curtains making the bright light engulfed the room. I yawned and stretched my upper body before leaving the bed.
“You didn’t even change into your pajamas. Seems like you fell asleep instantly last night, Madame.”
I stripped from the heavy clothes that I was wearing yesterday, only leaving my undergarments, and went to the bathroom to take a bath.
“Prepare light clothing today.”
I told her before closing the door.
“Do you not need help with your bath, Madame?” I heard Lyra asking from outside.
“No, I’m fine.” I can move my body perfectly, why would I need someone else’s help? Hah~, I can never understand how nobles think.
When I finished taking a bath, I wore the bathrobe and went out.
“Lyra, what do you think of having someone to teach you more about your abilities?”
She stopped drying my hair for a second.
“It would be great. Does Madame know someone?”
I’m glad she’s all right with it.
“I’ll find you one. It’d be a shame not to let your ability grow.”
Lyra cleared her throat. Looks like she’s excited.
“T-Then… I’ll do my best to learn more about my ability! I will not disappoint Madame!”
That’s the right reaction I want to see. Well then, Lyra, be the best healer before this game will fall into chaos.
“Heath, can you pass a note to the temple?”
It’ll usually take a day to travel to the temple but since Heath is already around, it’d be much quicker.
He walked closer to me and nodded. He turned himself into a Peregrine and flew on the top of the book. I tied the note to his feet and pat his head lightly.
“There you go. Take care.” And with that, he flew outside the window. I bet he’d be back in an hour. A peregrine’s speed is incredible.
“Why did you contact the temple, Madame?” Adam asked as he slowly put down the papers on my table. He sure did finish that task quickly.
“I am looking for someone who can teach Lyra more about her healing ability. Aren’t temples usually packed with those kinda people?” I mean, that’s how it usually was in the movies I saw, at least.
Adam looked shocked. “You didn’t tell me about that.” It must’ve slipped his mind. He is quite forgetful sometimes.
“It slipped my mind.” Told you.
“Miss Lyra is a healer, Your Majesty?” Scylla raised her brows in surprise.
“She is. No one should know about this but us.” She nodded.
“That’s amazing. A healer is a rare occurrence. She did well on hiding her abilities.” That’s what Lyra also said last night.
Then again, it’s not really surprising. This is a game and players would normally pick a class that’d make them look cooler. Most of the time, they’d pick an assassin class or a mage one. I wonder if there’s a mage in Aswain. It’d be awesome to have these people around.
Hahaha. I’m acting like a collector of character classes.
I continued reading the reports about the current nobles in Aswain. The officials that I killed last time were three marquesses and two dukes. This country has twelve dukes, seven marquesses, ten earls, ten viscounts, and five barons. Considering how many nobles there are, it was utterly questionable how Aswain is as weak as a twig from other people’s perspective. The palace is obviously using the people’s funds to fill their pockets. Hah. It’s giving me a headache.
“I am back, Your Majesty.”
I almost let go of the quill when Heath suddenly appeared in front of me.
My eyes twitched in amazement.
“That was quick! Not even an hour has passed!”
Dang, peregrines are really awesome. I should train an army of them.
