When Yu Min got back home he began to check all of his rewards which he received. In total he had 33 QI Formation stones, 32 he received for the tournament and 1 was received for his breakthrough to level 7. He would need 28 pills to reach level 8 in 4 months where he would get additional pills, but it would barely help him to achieve level 8 minor stage afterwards.
During the whole last year Parasite was increasing the control over the Yu Min body, emotions and mind. If previously Parasite could control only emotions, now it can change the memory of the host by removing or adding different fragments and the last, but not least it may now kontrol some decisions of Yu Min. In other words, little by little was taking control over Yu Min's body. It was feeling that after half a year or so it would be able to fully control Yu Min.
Due to this Parasite has put into the mind of Yu Min a thought to concentrate on the cultivation for now. And while Yu Min was cultivating for the next 4 months he was learning new techniques which he received.
When Yu Min and Parasite were reading the “Wind Step” technique they found that this technique is very suitable to be used with “Crushing Fist”. Many movements were very similar to those which were described in the “Crushing Fist” technique. But movement in Wind Step was more advanced. For instance, if user would used legs movement from “Crushing Fist” technique and would be as well concentrating energy in the legs it would little bit increase the strength in legs which would allow to make long leaps as well as make much more powerful kicks by concentrating energy in legs and fist at the same time.
On the other hand, “Wind Step” was allowed to be less perceptible. And surprisingly it didn’t have anything in common with wind. This technique had 2 stages as well. It was describing how to use energy in order to cling to the ground in order to extinguish inertia. Imagine if you are running at 100 metres per second and now you want to turn 90 degrees instantly. In such a case, inertia will still drag you in the initial direction and it may even force you to fall. But this technique was describing how energy should be manipulated in the legs in order to cling to the ground in such a way that you would be able to do such manoeuvre. The second stage was describing how to release energy in order to push off the window. In other words, if you jump and you see that somebody attacks you while you are in the air you can release energy in such a way that it would push you away from the attack trajectory. Without properly mastering the “Crushing Fist” it would be very hard to master “Wind Step”. Both of them together were giving students the possibility to attack opponents from unexpected angles as well as perform stands in the air, water or unstable positions.

Due to this “Wind Step” was never a technique to run away. It had much higher potential to be used in combat. However, in order to utilise this in combat students should spend much time practising it. It requires very good control of energy at the same time in different parts of the body and a person should as well release it with different strength.
Next technique was the “Blood Needle”. Yu Min didn’t really understand why he had chosen that. At that moment when he told the Elder of Knowledge Pavilion that he wanted it he didn’t realise it. When he read the technique he understood that this technique in his current realm will use all his power and he may die after using it. And even if he is going to survive after using it he still could be killed by any nearby disciple or monster. In other words, this technique could be used only if he knew that there are no other options left. But for the parasite it was a small treasure.
This technique had 2 stages. The first stage granted the possibility to create a small blood needle which could be used in the close combat range. That is not very useful, while a simple knife is much better. But the 2nd stage grants the possibility to throw this needle on the long distance range with very high speed. People in the QI Formation realm would not have a chance to dodge that in face to face combat. And if that technique would be used from hideout it has chances to kill a person on QI Subdual realm.
Good thing was that this technique could be trained with a small amount of energy. It would be very inefficient while such a needle would not be able to pearse a wooden plate as speed would be very small. However, at least it is possible to train it and use it in combat as a distracting element. Imagine that in close combat a person begins to use some weird technique which you don’t know. Most people would be cautious and would try to defend themselves. But it would create an opening for a disciple who is using that. It will not work twice, but even one mistake can cost life.
The last book was a bestiary which Yu Min received from the elder. He quickly went through it and he understood that it had not only Monsters which live in the Dark Wood, but also descriptions of disciples from other sects. That was interesting information but currently he thought to not read it while he already has much to learn. He was not a genius and the parasite knew it as well. Due to this Yu Min could only focus on one thing at a time.
In the next half year Yu Min was concentrating on his training and cultivation process to gain much more power as quickly as possible. Parasite had only 200-300 years to leave from which 1 and a half years already was lost while Yu Min was training. And gaining more years would require some treasure or cultivator from a higher realm as a host. Due to this Parasite didn’t have much time and he was required to utilise Yu Min body at his full potential even if Yu Min was garbage compared to other cultivators.
