Due to having to travel back home on plane to return to doing an average work schedule, my sleep patterns are out of whack and I can’t even think of what to write. Or where to fit the time to write (since I get disturbed constantly whenever I try to sit down a moment).
Will have to adapt back to my regular work schedule before I can write again. Have also figured out how I would structure my three stories (which this is going to be the third of).
I’m planning to write a trilogy of novels which would’ve been Modernism > Post-Modernism > Meta-Modernism.
This novel would break tropes post modernly and recreate them hopefully (fitting the Magical Girl hopefulness). The main character isn’t the Subaru self-worth questioning hero but will definitely feel nihilistic at times due to seeing relationships deteriorate in a world where friendship is power. It hurts him similar to Subaru in that sense.
The post modernism of the prequel to this story would explore how titles and names are meaningless in an endlessly complex world that may not even be real. Laughing from the beginning to end like a comedy with darkness.
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
The modernism story will be the ‘anchor point’ for the trilogy. I will have to look through my previous works but might revive something called Dead Dragon’s Combat Manual (which was a prototype before creating other stories with altered characters). The only reservation I have is that it was Xianxia and had a completely altered version of my fave character.
Will reread and recreate it into a modernist interpretation of “Western Martial Artist Meets Eastern Martial Arts World”. It has been done before but would definitely feel distinct in the trilogy. Moreover, I found the story had certain good points worth continuing into a remake.
Might not be original, but I’m definitely going to have fun with the simplicity until I get time for writing the other novels. There is always fun to be had when western meets eastern anyway.
Maybe I’ll write the first novel blind since I don’t have much complexity in terms of themes to add. Just good old “modern man enforces his ideology onto ancient people”. With him being completely certain he is doing the right thing.
