The trio of delvers didn’t even stand a chance on my second tier floors. They had just gotten their class at level 10 while my second to the floors were around level 25. Because I continued in the class evolution so if your class starts at level 10 involved once at level 25 then 50 and to my knowledge 100 furthering one of two aspects your affinity or your physical role.
If you were a fire warrior like one of their party, you could upgrade into a magma warrior or fire knight, this happens at every class evolution level so at level 50 if you were a fire knight you could evolve again into a magma knight or if you were a magma warrior you could become a magma knight.
Same with monsters if you were a fire ant at level 10 then at level 25 you become a blue fire ant and at level 50 would become a white fire ant maybe. A difference with monsters though is that they can’t upgrade their physical role where they are unless they're a certain type of monster so for example ants ants are born to do different roles, they can’t change that but they can change their element.
But however goblins can, so goblins Can evolve into hobgoblin’s improving every aspect of them at the same time having an element so a fire goblin could evolve into a fire hobgoblin or a magma goblin then evolving into a magma hobgoblin so their race is there a role in a way.
Goblins cannot evolve further than hobgoblins; it is their race's ceiling.

Soon the delvers returned To try to take down the dungeon and first started the fire at almost losing their life at the fire queen but otherwise pretty much breezed past it. The only disadvantage they had was that the mage had lightning and fire resisted lightning, So she was kind of useless also their warrior was a fire warrior and fire and fire just cancel each other out.
After getting to the first floor they tried to hand on the second floor they got pretty unlucky as they got steam as a second floor, steam is one of the hard ones because the boss was a roaming boss and notoriously difficult to find, Well not notoriously because nobody had actually ended my dungeon apart released to the three would have to live to tell the tale that steam was a very hard floor for it to be notorious.
I was watching them closely and Karen, my fairy if you have forgotten about her, Started shouting about this and that and how I wouldn’t do anything for her, not even make a bed for her. So I explained to her “just quit.” It would be easier for the both of us.
And so she just left and I didn’t really feel any different. She was here and then she was not didn’t really matter to me.
The door was seriously struggling on steam so they decided to retreat. That was a wise choice if they challenged the boss they would die.
It was simply too high levelled for a bunch of level 12 adventurers, The next time they tried, they brought their guild master an actual professional who is level 50 this man could challenge his tier three floors.
The dungeon core influences them to put them onto the hardest floor Zinc had, which wasn’t hellfire but instead the steam castle where steam knights and a steam king roam. It was by far the hardest and most lore packed floor he had. He put so much effort on making a cohesive story.
