Chapter 1 - The Start (1)

Danny woke up in a room unfamiliar to him. "Jesus," Danny mumbled rolling to his side. He saw something that woke him up instantly: A beautiful girl that he didn't recognise.

The girl mumbled something that he couldn't understand. He thought that he recognised the girl, with her long silver hair, and her high cheekbones, but that didn't matter.

Danny got out of bed quickly. He nearly left the room, before noticing that he wasn't wearing any clothes. "Why's it so...?" He left the last word unsaid, though he could only feel confusion at what he was seeing. He hadn't remembered his little friend being, well, not so little.

Quickly, he shook himself out of it, looking around for any clothing. He did find clothes that seemed to belong to a male. He checked the sizes, seeing that it was far smaller than what he normally wore, but still put them on. To his surprise, it fit perfectly, as if it was tailor-made for him.

He glanced around, seeing a mirror, hoping that he wasn't about to be proven right. He was flabbergasted at what he saw.

A handsome man looked back from the mirror, with just enough muscle to not seem weak, and a haircut that screamed rich-boy. His blond hair, he could see, was only slightly ruffled. "Oh, fuck," he squealed, running out the door.

He ran past multiple people who, when noticing him, had called out, "What seems to be the problem, Young Master?" He assumed they were all servants.

He left the building through a small set of doors, entering into a large garden. He could almost see the edge of the garden, where trees almost came into view. "Please, please," he begged, pulling something from his pocket. A slim block, with rounded edges, and a screen that lit up at his face. A phone. And it unlocked with just his face.

But Danny couldn't think of it as a regular phone, because of what it said.

[Welcome, Danny, to your most beloved book! We hope you have a great time there, as you will not be returning to Earth. If you are ever forgetting what happened, please refer back to us!]

"Oh, no." Danny understood what it said, but refused to believe such a thing could happen. He had transmigrated to his favourite book. "No, please, no." He sobbed suffocating tears of misery. Because this world was destined to die.

Quickly, he used his phone to check the news.

[August Reginald VI, admitted into the Academy for Great Heroes. His Rank isn't so great, though.]

August Reginald VI, a person who was only a short-term villain. There was a picture, along with the headline. It was the same man who looked back at him in the mirror. He was August Reginald, now.

He took a seat on one of the benches nearby, unable to take his eyes away from the phone. Now, it had an app on it, one that should never have existed.

[Status]

Seeing that one word, he pressed on it. It wasn't the phone that held the Status, but his own eyes.

This screen did look familiar to Danny, way too familiar. It's just that there were a few, small problems. His stats were awful. It was barely above the average human, if he remembered it correctly. It had been a few years since he read the book. And his Magic Power was nothing, literally nothing. Not even a speck of Magic could go through his body.

That would lead to something bad, he thought. He couldn't remember much about this character, besides he didn't last long.

"How many pages does August appear for?" Danny mumbled, holding his head with his hands. It looked like he was about to have a breakdown. His phone vibrated.

Defeatedly, he took it, not expecting for anything big. He was being thrown through a rollercoaster of emotions, as an answer to his question appeared.

[Approximately, August Reginald VI lives for the equivalent of Three Chapter(s). However, he only appears for 1000 Word(s). Then,-]

There was an emoticon of a black robed skeleton, Death, running its thumb across its neck. "All right," Danny spoke after several minutes of silence. "Just keep my head down, I guess."

He noticed something just then. A sound. Just hearing a sound around him made him realise how quiet the garden was.

His head moved, quickly, to where it originated from. He saw the same girl he was sleeping with earlier walk towards him.

"???, you just left me there," she said. When she said a name, all Danny heard was a buzzing sound.

"Sorry, Silvia." Danny's mouth moved on its own, speaking as if it was natural. No, not natural. There was some sort of stickiness to her name, like a web that fell in his mouth.

"Is everything okay?" She spoke slowly, emphasising each word. She put such passion in her words that Danny was surprised. She moved with a grace that Danny's attention was forced to several parts of her body.

"Yeah, just worried about the future." Again, his mouth moved without him trying. It was starting to tick him off.

A man came up to them, though he looked quite young. "Young Master," he said, nodding to Danny. "Silvia." He nodded to Silvia, glaring at her with sharp eyes. "Would either of you like some breakfast?" He was already moving plates that held food to the two of them.

"No thank you," Silvia replied, but the man held it out.

Danny grabbed it, noticing his very empty stomach. "Really, you don't have to do this, Ron," he said. At least he had control of his hands, as he ate the food.

When it went into his mouth, he had to admit it wasn't anywhere near perfect. It had many imperfections in the food, such as the toughness, the dryness, and far too bitter. But, among them, Danny could taste love in Ron's food. Who it was for, he had no idea, but it made it better than any food he had ever had.
