Only after I said that, did I realize I was yelling at an inanimate object. After getting over the embarrassment, I put on some casual clothes as today was the orientation for the traveling club. I checked my email for the details

[Traveling Club Announcement]

--- There will be a short trip on Sunday to serve as Freshman orientation. Gather at the portals at 8:00.

Checking the time, I saw that it was only 7, so I decided to go buy some food. Yes, for the first time since arriving in this world, I wouldn't get food from the cafeteria or make it myself, I would buy food. I felt proud just saying it. Before leaving the apartment I grabbed my training katana and computer in case I somehow got involved with an incident happening today. After buying a bagel, I arrived at the portal at around 7:45. Basically everyone was there except the main character.

I put in my earbuds and stood towards the edge of the group. I stood close enough to the group that outsiders would probably think I was involved and far enough, so other cadets wouldn't notice. Not to brag, but this was one of my superpowers in the real world. At 8, I glanced around and saw most of the main characters, including Hajin, were now there. Breaking the silence, the president announced with a smile

"Hello, I'm the club president. Oh Hanhun. I didn't believe it when I saw so many club applications, but... it's real. Who knew such amazing cadets would join my club."

As you can expect, later in this story, this guy gets tricked by his own girlfriend. Anyway, he just went on talking about the traveling club, which is exactly what it sounds like. You travel somewhere every 2-3 weeks. Continuing the president announced.

"Today, as part of the orientation, we'll take a short trip to Seoul, Usually we'll have a theme for each trip. Since today's meant to be an orientation, we'll just have a free trip without anything complicated. But instead of traveling alone, we'll split into groups of two"

As you can expect, this club's pairing system is the bane of my existence. I can already imagine it.

"Ew, why am I with him"

'Can we just travel? Why must we partake in pairing?' I thought

"Then, we'll start by drawing lots"

'Drawing lots, nice. Perfect for my 2/10 luck stat. At least I know I won't be with Yeonha or Nayun. Their partners are Hajin and Suho. I feel bad for them'

Djinns are humans who make contracts with devils in exchange for incredible power. Of course, this is looked down upon, but even so, there are millions of them in this world. Today, while in the museum, a djinn will appear and attack. Thankfully, Hajin, Suho, and Nayun will kill it, so I just have to stay away from that general area.

Yoo Yeonha decides to pick first and chooses Kim Hajin, who makes a face that says I want to die while Nayun picks Suho.

While I was zoning out, I realized someone familiar was standing on the podium with a disgusted look on their face. The girl who called me ugly and so confidently stepped on the treadmill.

'No, please don't tell me'

My heart dropped and I genuinely thought I might cry. The other side had the same reaction. The girl reluctantly walked towards me.

'she might not remember me. I'm not that memorable. It's possible'

I held out my hand to her

"Nice to meet you, I'm Ren"

The girl sighed and responded

"Oh, shut up will ya. Just follow me"

'Wait, what's her name? Eh, it'll come up sooner or later'

Heading with her towards the portal, I stepped in.

Stepping through the portal, the place around distorted and turned into Seoul. The metropolis wasn't even comparable to New York, my hometown. (In a good way). Next to me Olivia quickly said we should split up and left with some of her friends.

'Thank god'

I decided to walk around and explore Seoul. Since I hadn't visited South Korea in my previous life, basically everything was new to me. After looking around for a bit, I decided to just have lunch and then chill in a cafe. I wouldn't wanna get caught up in the museum incident. I gazed at the museum in the distance from my seat in the cafe.

'Yeah imma stay far far away'

I suddenly felt chills running down my spine.

I felt a tap on my shoulder. I slowly turned around with my hand on my sword, which was in my training bag. Then I saw it or him.

"Hey, you're the one who carried me to the infirmary right? I'm Kim Hajin. My partner also ditched me. Let me treat you"

'shouldn't he be at the museum? wait?'

After calming my mind, I realized that with the addition of the co-author in the Novel's Extra, the djinn event happened earlier than expected in the museum. In the original story, he heads to the museum earlier to be prepared and is lucky to be there, however; now, he's with me. Breaking almost every vow, promise, and revenge plan I had, I replied to him.

"Ehhh, I just ate. Why don't we head to the museum, it seems interesting"

"Hmmm, yeah sure. I was planning on heading there later anyway."

Since both of us were loners and too scared to say anything, we awkwardly walked side by side to the museum. Even I, who had no friends during high school, was crushed by the awkward atmosphere.

'It won't be that bad if I make small talk with him. Right?'

"So, did her hair taste good?" I asked while holding in a laugh

"..."

We both started laughing while entering the museum, gaining us a couple of weird looks from other visitors.

"Oh great one, I can never compare my intelligence to you, so tell me where we should go?"

"Appreciate the sarcasm, anyways let's head to the weapon's exhibit."

'Chae Nayun and Kim Suho should be there'

"Oh shut up, a minute ago you were going on about relaying the fucking message of the cube. Who the hell do you think you are? You're ranked 933"

"I'm a better fit to relay the message of the cube than you from our rankings"

After deciding I had won the exchange, I looked at the map and headed to the weapon's exhibit with Kim Hajin trailing behind me with a defeated look on his face. Realizing I should probably stay away from Hajin, Suho, and Nayun, I told the protagonist.

"Hey gun boy, I'm gonna go check out the ninja shit. There's a gun exhibit over there"

Without waiting for a response, I sped up my walking pace and headed towards the katana. I was genuinely curious about the weapon as previously, I had only used a broad sword. With the help of a katana artifact, I could also increase my damage output and speed. (Weapons can give stat boosts).

After escaping from Hajin, I could see him conversing with Suho in front of a weapon case.

'The djinn should appear any minute, I'll exit while he's not looking'

*BOOM*

The ceiling of the museum broke and djinn surrounded by a dark purple aura descended slowly onto the ground.

'hey bro, hate to break it to you, but you're not the mc'

Like the future hero I am, I immediately ran as fast as I could towards the exit, ready to use burst step, however, it seems my calculations were off as before I could exit, Chae Nayun broke the weapon case and grabbed the sword. In reaction to that, steel doors immediately shut off every exit.

*GRRR*

'8/10 intelligence for what'

Realizing that this entire situation was being recorded, I decided to help the civilians trapped under the rubble and move them to a safe place. While I was doing that, I could see the three main cast members fighting the Djinn. After Kim Suho and Chae Nayun were thrown around a bit, Hajin, like the protagonist he is, shot a light-infused bullet at the djinn. Then, Kim Suho dealt the fatal blow.

After securing all the citizens, I realized this was the start of Hajin and Nayun's terrible relationship, so I sat down, ate some air popcorn, and watched. Nayun was on the floor puking her guts out while Suho was trying to console her.

'deserved'

Kim Hajin walked up to the two and coldly said.

"Leave her be. I'm sure her older brother will come to console her"

'why was that cool as hell? though, he'll be freaking out in a bit when he realizes.'

While walking away from them, Kim Hajin saw me and ran towards me like a golden retriever with a tennis ball in its mouth.

"Ha, you see that. Say something about my rank now"

"Big fucking deal, you shot a bullet."

I mimicked him "WOW I'M SO COOL, I PRESSED A TRIGGER"

"Dude if you're jealous, just say so. I saw you almost piss your pants when he came in"

"Yeah shut up gun boy, don't get an ego on me now"

*GRR*

The metal doors opened up, so Hajin and I headed out of the exhibit and towards the exit. I don't know about him, but I was exhausted, doing nothing really is hard. I don't mean the monster. I thought I was gonna kill Chae Nayun if she kept spouting her bullshit orders.

"The stupidest person in the class giving orders. Never thought I'd see that day" I accidentally said aloud.

"Yeah dude, I swear I almost died laughing after looking at her face when her arrow did jackshit to that djinn"

While talking we reached the exit, but some older woman with orange hair ran up to us. I quickly recognized her as the vice-president of the number one guild and Kim Suho's future love interest. Kim Hajin quickly said.

"He's inside"

She flew past us and towards the weapon's exhibit.

"You know her?" I asked, trying to act oblivious.

"Nah it was obvious she was looking for the main character, Kim Suho"

'how ironic can this guy be? it's pissing me off. stop trying to act like an extra. you're a fake I say. A FAKE'

Hajin and I exited the museum and headed to a nearby park to await further instructions from the authorities.

"Hey, give me your number," Hajin asked me

"Sorry dude, I don't swing that way"

"shut up dude," he said while grabbing my phone

*PFFFT*

"DUDE AM I YOUR FIRST CONTACT EXCLUDING YOUR MOM"

"Hey dude, I know I'm your first too, don't be weird" I responded, trying to keep my anger from leaking out

"Nope," he said proudly while holding his phone that showed Yoo Yeonha in his contacts.

'hah what if'

I grabbed his phone before he could react and ran while typing.

[Kim Hajin: Hey]

[Kim Hajin: Hey]

"DUDE DO YOU WANT ME TO DIE" he screamed while chasing after me.

After sending enough messages for him to get hit a couple of times, probably not die. I threw the phone back at him. Then I calmly walked back to the park bench pretending like nothing happened. I could Kim Hajin's face go bright red as he thought of ways to explain the messages.

"Don't say your friend did it. She won't believe you have one" I said.

" *Sigh... you know I'm gonna pay this back to you ten fold right"

"Oh no, I'm so scared"

After a minute of silence, I could see him open his "invisible computer" Yeah, I can see his computer, but I don't know if he can see mine. He's probably confused as to why the djinn was stronger than in the book and the existence of the co-author. Then, I saw a bunch of notifications pop up on his computer.

[Flaw: There is a semblance of danger for the main character and others. If the story continues this way, the reader would become bored thinking, "The Main Character will win anyway]

[Makeshift Solution: Even if things become a mess, increase the power of antagonists]

Instantly Kim Hajin's bright red face turned pale. It looked as if he had seen a ghost. To be fair, the stuff he just learned might be worse than seeing a ghost.

"This crazy son of bi-" Kim Hajin muttered.

'I feel you dude' I said inwardly.

Interrupting both of our thoughts, Kim Suho walked up to us.
