“Evonny and Kendrew,
It has been three weeks since your last task. Meet me in my study at noon tomorrow. I will explain everything when you get there.
Andrae Gracen”
“Oh dear God.” I start. “It hasn’t even been a day since my father has forced me into this marriage and I am already receiving a mission notice? What the hell!”
“I’m sorry but what did you just say? What marriage?” Drea demanded. I hadn't gotten around to telling her yet because it only happened this morning and I wanted to get my mind off it.
“Yeah my father has arranged for a marriage between Leslie and I the moment I turn eighteen. He makes me so mad, I swear to God.” I explained half heartedly.
“Why would he do this to you?”
“Because apparently Leslie comes from a wealthy family. I don’t think he even realises how much I make in this job. I can support myself, I don’t need a man to provide for me.” I explained. “The only reason I even have this job is so I can help out around the house and yet he still treats me like trash… Maybe I should just move out. I’ll keep doing what I'm doing because I need to make a living somehow but I can’t live with Dontae anymore.”
“Well you know you are more than welcome to stay here for as long as you need.” Drew comforted sweetly.
I thanked him and we talked about how we are going to be able to do whatever it is Gracen wants us to do. After a while, Drea had to leave for business she had to attend to but Drew and I kept talking.

“Ok so you're telling me that we have go into that palace and eliminate the royal family?” I asked Gracen in utter disbelief.
He responds with his brown eyes glinting in the sunlight. “Yes, that is what I just said.”
“Jesus Gracen! You will be lucky if we get in there alive! Have you seen those guards?”
“I am aware of the guards at the gates, Evonny. It’s nothing you haven’t done before, now off you go. And get it done. Don’t disappoint me this time or there will be consequences.”
After hearing this, I stormed out of Gracen’s study and away from everyone so that I can think.
What the hell is he thinking? Sending us in there like that isn’t going to do us any good. We need a plan. How can we get into the amethyst castle without getting caught… I thought to myself.
“I have a plan.” I told my best friend at the dinner table. “It’s risky, I know, but I think it will work.”
“Go on then, what is it?” Kendrew asked me in response.
“Well I was thinking, and I realised that there was no way we would be able to walk in through the front door without getting us killed. But there might be another way. The risks of this are monumental and there may be no coming back from this, but we might just be able to get away with it.” I then explained to Drew my plan and everything that could possibly go wrong.
“I think your right. And I think that that’s the only way we will be able to get in without getting ourselves killed in the process. So. Let’s do it.”
The two of us then spent months of studying maps and memorising routes of the amethyst castle and of the streets around it. Adheskan isn’t exactly the safest place to be living in.
“So if we go by Chrysanthemum st then we should be able to get through to the city square without being spotted. If not then I recommend we go through Jakaranda st instead.” I explain to him, because he has zero sense of direction. You know, for a trained assassin you would think that he would know his way around but he really doesn’t.
