I soon told Zee that my blindness was gonna last for 3 days and once that was up, I would be able to see once more. He didn’t say a word to me as he held my hand so I could tell he bowed to me in response. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that he understood the assignment I pretty much never said. Throughout those 3 days he took care of me. He would walk around the mansion with me in order for me to figure out the layout, he would even tell me things about this world that I never even thought to ask about. One of the many things that he told me about this world was how it was ruled. He told me that there were 13 primordial gods including 13 normal gods as well. Apparently, the primordial gods used to possess two elements until they decided to split their nations in two, by making someone else become a god of one of their powers. The first one who did this was the goddess of freedom. According to Zakari she was known as the goddess of freedom and torment back then.
She was known as the goddess of freedom back then because she saved the harpies from a beast that her brother sent to kill them off. Every few years when the harpies failed to prove themselves useful the beast would come and kill an entire race of harpies, then it would wait until they failed to prove themselves again. When the goddess found out that the harpies were being attacked, she stepped in without a second thought and killed her brother's beloved pet. Of course, that didn’t sit well with her younger brother and without hesitating he killed her. When her soul returned to the heavens, she vowed to her younger brother that she would make the harpies useful somehow. He gave her two conditions in order for him to take her up on her word. He made her swear that she would tame the beast she killed, and that she would bore a child so if she failed to make the harpies useful, he could watch her own child fail as well. Those were the conditions she thought she agreed to but in reality, she agreed to an unfair deal between her and her own brother.
In reality this deal was set up from the very beginning. No one knows why the primordial goddess of freedom’s brother would do that to his own family, but many people also know that the elemental king doesn’t really care who you are, as long as he can get some entertainment out of what you do, he is free to play with your life however he sees fit. In my world, people with my illness is called a Nirigamo I’m curious if they have Nirigamo here as well. I then opened my eyes and this time I could actually see. I then lifted up my arm and the outfit I wore was black and it was pretty fancy at that, then again, I am a young master now so it’s understandable. I was sitting in the dining room and Zee was standing right next to me. I then looked over at him and Jesus Christ I was right, this boy a giant alright.
Despite his humongous height, he wasn’t lying when he said it looked like his uniform was gonna rip at any moment. In reality he actually didn’t lie to me when he described his appearance to me. Just like he said, his skin was as pale as a corpse, he had several piercings on his right ear and for his left he really did have a piercing on the top of his ear connected by a chain to his lip. His hair touched his shoulders, but his bangs covered one of his eyes. The eye I could see was a beautiful blood red, now you definitely can’t tell me that he doesn’t have anyone throwing themselves at him. He is extremely handsome, and his voice is so deep and gentle it’s hard not to fall for someone like that. I then rested my head in my hand and just stared at Zakari.

“How beautiful.” I said softly and Zakari clearly heard it.
“What is beautiful sir Lumiere?” He looked down at me with a soft and gentle expression.
“Your eye… it’s a beautiful blood red. I honestly thought your eye was bleeding for a minute there.” I said softly as I pointed at his right eye.
“Wait… Sir Lumiere, can you see now?” He looks at me shocked.
“Of course I can. I did tell you after 3 days my eyesight would return. It is only breakfast after all Zee.” I say as I look at my plate.
“I see… well since you can see now we can head over the nation of freedom and torment once you are done eating.” He says as he sits back up.
“Wait, don't we live in the nation of freedom and torment?” I looked at him again.
“We do not. This mansion is located on an island that none of the 13 nations know about. This island is a mini kingdom on its own but it’s so small that not even the gods know about it.” He says as he looks away.
“Then how are we gonna get to the nation of freedom and torment?” I look up at him crossing my arms.
“There are a few pegasus that have made this small island their home. We own two of them so therefore, me and you will ride them and head over to the nation of freedom and torment. Although, once we arrive we have to send them away since those two are the royals of the pegasus.” He says as he twirls his hair between his fingers.
“I see. Very well then, let’s get going. The sooner we get there the sooner the horses can come back, and the sooner I can return to my own world.” I say as I got up fixing a cuff on my fancy jacket as I walked to the horses.
Zee said nothing as I just started to walk. All he did was follow me like he was my shadow. If I were to be honest about how that made me feel; I would say it is a little unsettling. So, this is what my previous co-workers felt whenever I would be watching them at any given point. At some point both me and Zee arrived outside and as soon as we did Zakari whistled and the horses came flying in. One was black and blue and the other was a pure white one. The first horse's body was black as its mane, tail, wings, and even feet had blue fire coming from them. The second horse’s body was all white but it had ice coming from its feet. Now I can understand why these two horses were the king and queen of the pegasus here.
Not wanting to waste anymore time, I got onto the black and blue horse while Zee got onto the white one. Soon enough Zee told the horses where we were heading and the horses didn’t hesitate to take to the sky. As we flew I couldn’t help but admire the beautiful trail that the both of them were leaving in their wake. Icy and flame blue trails were left as we flew over the vast ocean. After several hours of flying we got off the horses and Zee sent them away. I then turned around and the place I saw was nothing that screamed free. The people here looked dead inside but even so, when they saw me and Zee they ran inside their homes and never came out.
“Hey Zee, where exactly are we?” I asked as I looked up at him.
“We are in the nation of torment… The gruesome part of the nation of freedom.”
