Elizabeth, 22, of Asian American descent, has a heart condition that she has had multiple surgeries for. Adopted and dropped out of college, wanted to be a writer or something creative. Works at a "medieval times" type place as a milkmaid, have to call people master and give them drinks, she is of course in love with the stable boy "Ian" a stable boy looking for more in life takes for granted the love of milkmaid Elizabeth. Sort of a dick, still young and immature.
They work together at "castle" times, serving the customers, when not being mocked so obviously by the patrons, they talk of dreams and stupid shit. Ian, sort of sweeps her off of her feet. She thinks he is funny and cute. Time passes and she gets pregnant. When she tells him, he leaves her.
Being adopted, her parents actually do not want her to have the child, since she was an emotional and financial disappointment to them while growing up. She goes through with the abortion without choice and hates her parents (mostly mother) and Ian for it.
Elizabeth becomes suicidal, wanting to end her life. She finds herself in a large two-story local library behind a few shelves where no one can see her. She loves libraries because 1. It's quiet, 2. No one really comes to them anymore because of the internet, 3. It's a place to lose herself and it's a distraction from reality. While at the library she decides to research 3 things: what happens to babies after they are aborted (religiously), how to kill yourself without pain, and finally, what really happens when you die. She has all of these books and papers stacked around her. Really, she has cowardice towards taking her own life, and this is all really just her subconscious mind stalling her.
As she is looking through books, one on the souls of the damned, a small feather falls out and lays on the table. The feather isn't right. It should be flat, but it is perfect and looks like something from a painting. Liz is captivated by it. She stares at it and holds it in her hand. A low humming noise is heard in the back of her head, like the sound of an ancient bowl being scraped. Everything around her is numb and fades into white oblivion. Her cell phone rings and she snaps out of it. It's just some lame telemarketer. She stows the feather in her pocket and continues to read for hours until she accidentally dozes off in her chair at the nook table hidden by books. She is slowly awoken by the humming noise again. She checks her pocket and holds up the feather though it is night there is a soft glow emitting from it now that she did not notice earlier. She looks closer and notices that the end has a metal quill. Out of curiosity, she touches it with her fingertip. Blood streams down the side of it, and as fast as it began to stream down Elizabeth's vision is changing. She can see now the quill had something inside of it that is now quickly moving through her veins. Her skin and arm are becoming translucent and light. The room is becoming brighter swallowing all the shadow and the humming noise in the back of her head has run all the way to the front of her skull. She feels light and she feels infinite. All of the atmospheres have changed and the feather has now wrapped itself around her arm. Right as this happens everything pauses. Time is still, the air is fluid, the last beat of her heart reverberates like a tuning fork matching to the same key as the humming and it is definitely sounding like an ooooommmm sound. Stillness, a blissful zero state. And then Wham, woop, swoosh she feels herself shoved and launched into a region of time, space and reality are irrelevant.

In a flash, she is in a bright white room surrounded by floating liquid screens and an audience of no one and everyone. "Who do we have here now, it's Elizabeth Chance, and let's go ahead and look at your life and see what you have done to deserve your place amongst us" Elizabeth looks around and is startled to see faces unknown to her, a court of old souls and small blue machine men.
Conducting the review is a female spirit dressed in white and she asks "is there no familial relations attending today for miss Elizabeth. "She is not the scheduled appointment," a voice says from the crowd, "she is early." says another. The blue machine men come closer to her to size her up with their mechanical equated eyes.
"Mam, I am not sure where I am.." said Elizabeth. 'You are in the after, and this is your review, how did you come to being early is what I wonder" the woman in white stated. 'She isn't due for another... wait... her record, its..." one of the crowd members who seemed to be a keeper of records of sorts said. "Her life, it seems it has diverted from the realm of the midget earth." "That's not possible, said the lady in white, unless... you were invited?"
In the back of her head, Elizabeth heard a voice say to her, "Pssst, fuck that bitch, you gotta get outta there girl or you're just gonna be in a buncha bullshit drama you, nor I, need." Elizabeth looked around confused.
'Well, who invited you? You aren't supposed to be here yet you are... who let you in?"
"Ok, not gonna do this, I'm taking over." Said the voice in her head. Elizabeth's body lights up the room shattering all of the glass and liquid screens. The machine men lunge away in fear as their digital eyes spell in sound the idea of divinity. The woman screams, "lockdown intruder! Elizabeth Chance, what have you brought with you, who gave you this gift of deceitful power?"
Out of her vocal cords through the lips muscled against her will Elizabeth says "pssst, bitch, you know who, and I'm coming home real soon. So run and tell your papa." Then Elizabeth began to lift up and float across the room flinging open the doors and melting the walls of the building in front of her. She panics and tries to cry but her body is not her own she is a vessel now possession of whatever has control of her. She prays in her mind, she prays any prayer she can think of and begins to hear the voice again. "Are you fucking praying right now??? Look I get it, but these blue man group machine looking motherfuckers and the white cunt back there, they are the ones that are supposed to be answering you prayers... but let me tell you that shit... that shit don't happen no more around here, these fuckwads are just, well, they are pretty much the equivalent of earthly government workers, paid too much and useless at helping the public."
Elizabeth tries to fight back against the voice in her head. She attempts to speak to it directly. 'Where am I and where the hell is you taking me?!" The voice replies, Elizabeth, this might be hard for you to understand... I mean I feel like it's pretty fucking obvious, but I'll tell you anyway, you are in heaven... possessed by me, Lucifer, and we are heading to the one place worth anything to me at all, the armory."
Elizabeth, in shock in her mind and flying in a fury through heaven, took a second to process what was just told to her. Ladies and gentlemen, shit just got cray.
