Zephyr was running through the woods. He had just broken through the wall which was built around his territory. While escaping, he killed over a dozen soldiers and was shot a few times. Luckily, none of the shots hit any of his vitals, so his life wasn’t endangered. As he continued running, looking for a new place to settle, a person suddenly appeared in front of him.
It was a young and extremely handsome man. His face was so beautiful, even Zephyr found himself mesmerised by it for a moment. His pupils and sclera were both Golden-coloured and his iris’ were as blue as the sky. The only clothes he was wearing were loose yoga trousers. His upper body was completely revealed to the world, blessing it with his well-toned muscles. He had bronze-coloured skin and gorgeous braided turquoise hair which reached down to his knees. There was also a big red gem embedded in his forehead.
The moment he had freed himself from the beautiful man’s charm, Zephyr started sprinting away as fast as possible. He was running for his life. Why? Simple, the man before was a terrifyingly powerful being, who transcended to a level above any living being out there. Suddenly, the man reappeared right in front of him and finger flipped him, sending him flying through multiple trees.
“Don’t you think it’s a bit rude to run away from someone you’ve only just met?”
The man casually approached Zephyr, who was lying on the ground, unable to move because of the damage he had just received.
“I know I can be a little scary sometimes, but I think you’re overreacting a bit.”
The man knelt down and looked at him with an innocent, yet threatening grin. Zephyr hissed at him in hope to scare him away. Of course, he didn’t believe it’d actually work but he still did it.
“Don’t be like that. I know you can still think and talk like a normal person. Well, as normal as we can get. After all, a Zephyr doesn’t break that easily.”
He looked at the man with obvious confusion on his face. What was he talking about?

“Anyways, you don’t have to be scared of me. I’m not here to hurt you. I only came here to take a look at you since you’re still one of us. But, oh well, since I’m already here… Here, take this.”
The man hung a necklace with a pendant around his neck. The pendant was beautifully crafted and represented wind.
“If you ever want to join us, just think about doing so and the necklace will do the rest. But be warned, you’re really weak and ordinary compared to the rest of us, so you might not really fit in. Though, of course, you won’t be mistreated since you’re still one of us. Alright, I did what I came here to do, so bye-bye.”
As the man was about to leave, Zephyr spoke up, “Wait!”
The man halted and faced him again.
“What… What are we?”
“Hm? Oh right! You haven’t figured it out yet because you’ve only just recently awakened. Ugh, how do I explain this? Hmmmm? Alright, let’s just say that there exists a being which transcends the concepts of reality, life and death. And we are something like off-spring of that being. We are the Resonances of Zephyr.”
Despite the explanation being quite confusing, Zephyr somehow felt like it made perfectly sense. It was an unnatural feeling, but that’s how it was.
“One last thing before I leave. The thing you killed and were killed by isn’t native to here. It came from a place deep underground. You can find the crevice that it came through in the gorge near your village. I recommend you go find and crawl through it. It’ll change your world.”
Before he could say anything, the man healed all of his wounds, ripped open a hole in space and time itself and disappeared through it. Zephyr decided not to question it for his own well-being and started looking for the crevice the man had mentioned.
After searching for multiple weeks, he finally found it. It was a very small crevice and he barely fit through. Following the gorgeous man’s advice, he started crawling through it. He crawled downwards the crevice for hours, possibly even more than a day. It was painful and frightening, but he continued. He didn’t know why, but he had full trust in the man’s words.
When he finally saw light at the end of the tunnel and exited it, he was not disappointed. The man had told him the truth. This journey had changed his world. Literally. He found himself again in a huge forest with plants and insects that he had never seen before. The light came from weird shining minerals in the walls, which engulfed the entire forest.
This was the world the mysterious beast had come from. This was a world, completely different from the one on the surface of this planet. This was the world he would now live in.
