Chapter 2: The Progress of 5 Years
So yeah, five years have passed since the day I was born or reborn. Fast, I know right? I mean there is literally nothing to do when you are a little baby besides eat, shit and cry when you need something.
But it is still boring 'cause I got nothing to do besides asking Alice for information about the system.
And the best part is, after the first 2 week, I found out that I’m a girl. F**K. Sorry for the cursing, but try imagine yourself living for 43 years as a guy, and just suddenly become a little girl. And when I ask Alice, the AI, why this is happening, it tell me that this whole reincarnation process is random and that I’m even lucky to be human.
*sigh*
Yeah, lucky.
At least I look cute and if I have the genes of my mother then I’m going to be a big hit when grow up, hopefully.
And well, apparently, my new name is Lena. Just Lena. No last name at all. I have brown hair, purple eyes, white skin and a face that says cute and innocent.
My new father's name is Emil and his wife's, or my mother's, name is Elena. They both used to be adventures but now are the owner of a inn named The Sleepy Bear, with Emil as the chef and mascot himself.

Just imagine a 2-meter-tall man with tan skin, a bald head, a face that look like a thug, purple eyes, plus a big scar on his chest, and too much muscle.
Yup, really like a bear. Meanwhile, Elena has an oval face, brown hair, blue eyes, white skin and a body line that looks like a Victoria's Secret model. It’s a mystery how she is able to look like that even after given birth to me.
At the beginning when I first saw those two together, I was like wondering ‘how the hell did two you even get together?’ But thanks to a few bedtime stories told by Elena when I was 2 years old, apparently, when those two were young, Emil and Elena used to be in a team of adventurers together. They were good, and that all she could talk about her team.
That is until one day when they were out exterminate some hell hounds, which are some type of mutant monster dogs. Elena suffered a critical wound and because of the number of the hell hounds around, she was left behind by her teammates. All of them were gone; all but Emil.
Desperate, he abandoned his shield to carry her on his back and ran with all the power he could gather in his legs and an arm with a single short sword. It’s a miracle that he managed to outrun those nasty things. During this whole time, Elena was awake. Her eyes could barely open. But she could still hear her friend's words of abandoning her, and the words of encouragement from Emil telling her to stay awake, to hold on till they get to town.
And well, after that incident, the team was disbanded. Emil and Elena continued to do a few more quest together and then they decided to buy a inn in a small village near the border of the country using the money they had been saving for sometime. And one year later, I was born at that very same inn.
Some bedtime story, hah.
Anyway, thank god for Alice and my baby brain 'cause it took me 6 month to learn this world's language and 1 extra month for me to walk properly.
And what happened to my {inheritance} ability and my old world stats? Well, at first, I really wanted to use it right after my rebirth but Alice warned me that it could be bad for my body. Like really bad.
After all, a new born body can’t hold the power of an adult.
So 5 year passed since my rebirth and now that my body turning five, I’m finally old enough to use it.

And while asking Alice about how my stats are, I make a major discovery because this world has more energy than earth. A human here is stronger than one on earth. That’s why my stats were so high for a 5 years old.
And the second thing is that I can raise my stats through training, and for the last 3 years, that's what I’ve been doing anyway
And since I don’t actually have any points to spend and Alice told me that only after this body goes through puberty that I can receive my first main mission to get points... I don’t really had a need to check on them. But seriously, I really need to check my status more often.

I guess I need to go down and I think I'm starting to feel a little hungry as well. OK.

Using these short, little legs and my new stats, somehow I manage to reach the kitchen just in time for Emil to reach the table. Hm, so these stats make you faster but because of my small-sized legs, I still can’t reach my old speed. None of that matter. In ten more years, I'll be back to my former self or even better. Not to mention the stats I can manage to have from now to then, hehe.

Alice, don't spoil my good morning.
“What is it Lena? You seem a little happy this morning?” said Emil.
Oh yeah, there something been bothering me for sometime now.
“Hey Mom, Dad?”

Both Elena and Emil stop eating and look confused at me. Continuing with my question, I ask
“Mom, in your bedtime story you said you and dad were adventurers, right?”
I said while doing an innocent but hopeful face.
“Well, what were your roles in the team?” I ask.
“My, well I was a mage with light magic and wind magic while your dad was a close range fighter and heavy hitter.”
What!! She was a mage all this time and I never even see her doing any magic... Or maybe I never pay attention enough to notice.

“Wait, you were a mage!! And does heavy hitter mean that dad can hit really hard?”
I ask while looking confused and surprised at the same time and a little excited, thinking of future possibilities with this information.

Elena answers with a soft smile on her face and Emil is… blushing. Really blushing red. Why!!? Even though the guy looks so scary, he is actually really shy. And that is the hard truth I find out after living in this family for five years

Anyway back to the main topic
“So mom can you teach me magic? Pleaseee!!”
I ask with a pleading look on my face. So embarassing, but it is all for the sake of a better future.
“Well I was planning to teach you when you turned seven but I guess now is better than later. But I have to see which affinity you're better with before teach you anything, so we will have to go to the Adventure's Guild in order to get you checked.”
After a short pause, she continues to talk after looking at my plate
“But first, finish your breakfast and then we can go.”
Good! A chance to become a mage and get to see how this adventure guild look like. I can’t wait.
