Seeing my darling baby daughter like that I can't help but walk up to her hugging her tightly.
She completely collapses in my embrace saying she is sorry. And hugging me while she drenches my clothes in snott and tears.
(Charles perspective)
After a day of work I'm finally on my way home. During the pass 6 years the young master has basically been training everyday. Heck I swear I saw him do sit ups as a baby.
Behind me is Chappie, my faithful dog. Some would probably be unhappy with a dog for a Spirit but I'm not. Dogs are smart, faithful and kind. The downside with a dog is their short lives. But my Spirit will be with me in this life and the next.
Dragging my heavy feet I finally open the door.
"I'm home!"
I say in a robotic tone. Yet right afterwards I hear something smash to the floor. Then like a bolt of lightning Emma shows up. Her expression immediately tells me I won't be able to relax just yet.
"Yo*sniff * y-you need to help *hiccup* m-me. *sniff* h-he has locked himself inside his room. I-I don't know what t-to *hiccup* do.. He hates m..*sniff*e!"
Hugging my panicking wife I wonder if every husband has to deal with this.
"Calm down, tell me clearly what happend?"
After a lot of crying, snott and self blame I finally have a somewhat clear picture of what happend.
'He still wants to go huh.. and why does he go to the library? He knows better than any of us how it is to be blind.'
Giving my wife a kiss on her cheek while she is hugging her white rabbit Spirit, I head towards my youngest son.
After climbing the stairs and walking through a long hallway I arrive at his room.
Standing there with a door in front of me I ponder over what to say... What do you even tell a child to make him give up on his dream?
Sighing I'll just tell the truth.
Raising my hand to nock on the door I suddenly hear a faint voice from the otherside of the door.
Stopping my hand I press my ear against the door.
".. the year... 467. The war conti.. inuud over a s..pan of 21 yers making it... on(?)e of the lon...gst wars in histor...u. The Fherian war en..dad when... The Fherian War.
'He is reading a history book!'
Clenching my hands I feel tears wanting to escape my eye lids. My son, has learned how to read! My blind son!!!
Taking a step back from the door I feel newfound energy filling my body and mind.
If my son has made it this far by himself. It's my job as his father to take over from here.
Walking back downstairs I whisle for Chappie.
'We are going to see the Master, James Silver.'
-----------
(Nero's perspective)
After hugging Haux for a long time I finally got my mind under control. Haux didn't make a noise during all this time. Wiping my snott away, I smile a genuine smile towards my best friend.
"Thanks Haux, you're the best."
Haux acknowledged my thanks with a small nod.
Spreading electricity through my feet I sense my history book under my bed.
My smile disappears and once again a determined expression forms on my face.
'I'll show them. I'm not someone you pity, but someone you admire and envy!'
Forgetting my previous sadness I once again practice sensing words, keeping at it until I pass out from exhaustion.
-------------
*Peck*... *Peck*
"Aaaahhh stoop iit..."
...
*Peck*.. *Peck*... *PECK*
"Ouch! Okay okay I'll wake up.. just five minutes please..."
...
*Peck*
*Sigh*
"Good morning to you too Haux."
Waking up I immediately start focusing on my surroundings. Blackness, and a bird with a massive amount of electricity inside him, his head, a few centimetres from my hurting forehead.
When I'm alone I usually don't open my eyes, as there's no point in doing so. But when being around people they usually feel more comfortable if I look at them and speak.
Spreading my ability throughout the room my attention gathers in the trash can.
Sighing I walk to it and pick the broken rabbit sculpture up.
'Maybe I can fix it somehow.'
Even my thoughts sounds sarcastic.

Feeling my stomach screaming for attention, I remember I didn't eat any dinner last night.
Changing clothes I put on a fresh t-shirt and some shorts. Heading towards the door I notice Haux isn't following. Focusing on his form I 'see' him. He is still standing beside my pillow looking at me.
Haux can't talk. But with our relationship I know when something is wrong or when he wants to tell me something.
Focusing on his facial expression, it doesn't take long before I flinch. He isn't angry, sad or excited, no. It's a new expression, one I haven't seen on him before. An expression I am incredibly familiar with.
Determination.
He is determined. Determined to grow stronger, to improve, to help me achieve my dream. I don't know what made him this determined but it warms my heart.
Wanting to cry but feeling it would only ruin the moment I nod at him. Showing him a determined but somewhat shaky expression.
Haux, seeing my nod spreads his wide wings which are flickering with billions of white sparks. The white sparks quickly increase in power until a point where the light pierces my mind like a trillion nails. Then suddenly my mind becomes clear, like a door which I didn't even know about suddenly opened. Then I slowly sensed it.
A whole world illuminates as I start sensing every corner of the whole mansion. My mom making breakfast, my sister secretly eating chocolate in her room. Slowly but surely I start sensing the small flowers growing on every tree branch in the garden. Even the morning dew on the grass starts sparkling like a sheet of small diamonds.
Sensing this beautiful world I, for the first time in my life, feel pity towards 'normal' people.
Then it slowly fades away. The sparkling dew, the millions upon millions strands of grass, my sister eating chocolate, everything fades away until all I can sense is my room.
But the feeling remains. The feeling not of sight, but of true sight. Like nothing could escape my ability. Ordinary sight is after all hindered by where you look or what's in front of you.
Mine is not.
Now only a few random sparks could be 'seen' flickering between Haux's feathers. His domineering presence truly is worthy of being called a Heaven rank Spirit.
'If that is what's waiting for me, I don't care what I need to do. I will definitely achieve it.'
Haux, feeling satisfied once again flies to my shoulder, I don't even need to use my ability to know what he is feeling, pride and excitement.
I don't know what he did to me. But my ability has obviously improved by leaps and bounds. Even the dirt underneath my bed doesn't escape my ability anymore.
Enjoying this new feeling of freedom, I head towards my mom in the kitchen.
...
In the kitchen I sense Rina eating breakfast, her cat Spirit is scratching its body against a chair, very cat like.
My mom immediately notices me. Without a moment of hesitation she dashes towards me. Her eyes glistening with uncontrolled tears
Haux jumps of my shoulder exactly before the impact. Feeling my moms embrace my previous resentment towards her disappears like a fart in the wind.
Lowering my head I burrow it in her chest.
None of us say anything. Our feelings doesn't need words to be expressed.
After maybe a minute of silent hugging mom releases me.
"Come and eat, I made your favourite."
Taking a deep intake of air through my nose my eyes widen.
"Pancakes!"
Running towards my seat I sense a mountain of pancakes on the plate in front of me.
'I love you mom!!!'
Before digging in I give a pancake to Haux. Who immediately digs in.
...
7 pancakes later my dad joins us. His expression is full of smiles and he keeps taking secret glances my way.
Sitting down, he steals on of my remaining pancakes.
"Family, I have something to tell you."
His words immediately gathers the attention of everyone present. Even Haux pauses his eating to look at him.
"The Master has talked with the Spirit Academy's representative living in the city of Neer, he has agreed to give Nero a chance to attend the Spirit Academy!"
After his words an absolute silence envelopes the kitchen.
The Spirit Academy?
Who doesn't want to attend the prestigious Spirit Academy?
The one who breaks the silence is Haux who excitingly tackles my chest. Causing us both to fall to the ground. Yet the pain does not register.
'The Spirit Academy!!!'
