Compared to Rocky and Milo's reaction to remains of the late agent, Victoria and Danielle's was more of a feeling that this wasn't the first time they've seen something like this.
"Now is not the time to have a weak stomach, Agent Crawfish," the Director stern directed at the now somewhat groggy man.
"I...I might- just throw up- the crawfish I had early-, D-Director...." Agent Crawfish sickly said.
"Ditto," said Agent Briggs. He was carrying a trash bag.
"The situation has changed, you four. We've reach double digits in these type of occurrences since this past month," the director's face scrunched up, "and I'll be damn if I let them win."
"Director..." Victoria quitely said.
"I will be assigning all of you to Agent Cassandra Cole-"
"Excuse me, Director?" Agent Cole comes bursting out of the door.
"Is there a problem, Agent Cole?"
"To be frank Director, there are a hundred more agents more suitable to maintain a team. Especially with a fresh rookie."
Truth hurts, but it's always true and Rocky knows this. Not even a week into getting into his cubicle and it looks like Fieldwork is coming early from himself. He still got boxes left to unpack in his cubicle.
"If I may intervene," suddenly said Victoria, "Agent Crawfish is going to get into Fieldwork eventually. He can be on the backburner side of this operation but he was recommended by the upper brass to join the MSB for a reason or so I've heard. We could really use your assistance, Agent Cole.
"I agree." Agent Cruz added on, "If anything he'll learn on the job. Same thing happened to me." She glanced at the still slighly queasy Crawfish and gave a little smile.
Agent Milo Briggs who had move from the picture faster than his grossed-out partner-in-crime chimed in, "If this is the plan, we better start ASAP."
Agent Cassandra Cole scoffed a little. Her Icy cold, seasoned demeanor layed still at the minds of all of people except the Director, no one can nerve the Director. Also, Rocky, he's a little occupied with not letting his stomach come up.
Agent Cole inhaled and then exhaled.
"Alright Black Pumas, let's get to work."
"Did you just come up with that name on the spot? That is so cool!" Rocky exclaimed as he was suddenly rejuvenated from his queasy trance.
MSB Headquarters, MSB Library, Underground
Rocky's mind grew more confused every time he figured something out at HQ. First it was the intelligence center, then the operations room, then the weapons room, and now the Library has a elevator that takes people to a seculded sector of the Building.
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
All that military training could never prepare him for the mindgasm of mutiple centuries.
"I can feel your mind exploding, Crawfish. Literally." said Cassandra.
Did he really exude that aura? Did it smell funny? Did it have a temperature? He went to smell his armpit. It smell more like body shampoo than anything.
"Don't worry about it, Rocky," Danielle exclaimed to him, "Her senses are just a little bit different from ours, I guess."
"I guess huh?" He thought to himself. She's a very strong and straightforward person he was thinking. Like she never wanted to show weakness. In a job enviorment dominated by males, weakness would never get her anyway.
"I hope you've gotten your thoughts in order," said Agent Cole. "From now on, you will refer to me as Commander."
"Our biggest lead so far has been from an Agent injured after being attacked by an organization known as The Reapers down in NYC."
"You mean that group that caused the Manhattan Incident five years ago?" Agent Sutton asked.
"The very same. We lost a lot of good men and women that night." The entire group except Rocky looked down at the ground a little. He would ask about what happened in the incident but he figured it would be better to ask another time. Seems like a sensitive subject.
"Anyway, The Reapers have been making a lot of traction since that incident and their numbers keep growing." Commander Cole calmly stated, "Their numbers keep boosting, mainly because they select people from poorer backgrounds and promise them riches in exchange for their service."
"Well...do we know where we can find these The Reapers Peepers?" Rocky jokingly asked.
Agent Cruz pays Rocky in his back. "Everybody there in the city knows not to ask anything about them Reapers. That will be suspension and a cloud over your head quick."
Rocky raised his hand.
"Might I suggest something?"
"Suggest wisely, Agent Crawfish." The Commander stated.
"What if I do the front work?"
Agent Briggs' eyes widen. "Are you serious, Rock? That's a death sentence."
"True, but it's not the first thing I've been faced with sleeping with some fishes."
Not the first time? This woke everyone up in the room and all eyes stared at the rookie agent. Either he's putting up a brave front or he's really dumb or he might not be pulling their leg.
"What do you mean 'Not the first time?'"
"That's a pretty big claim, Crawfish."
"You said he was recommended, Agent Sutton?", the commander asked to be confirmed.
To be recommended to help contain government secrets and operations helpful to the United States government is a huge thing compared to someone as goofy as the man known as Rocky Crawfish.
Someone who comes to work with a windbreaker jacket with a tie, short moppy dreads, and a waistpack. Someone who doesn't really fit the M.O. of a MBS Agent. Even the tech guy Milo came to the facility in a suit and tie. Someone who might be the only man who can face this suicide operation with minimal damage, unbeknownst to the rest of the group.
Agent Victoria Sutton hands Commander Cole a folder with the name Crawfish. It's his documentation of his recommendation form that was sent by a top brass figure for the United States Army.

Cassandra was doing everything in her power not to lose her composure. Feed him well? Could overthrow any government? Is this a joke? Is the United States Military and the MBS pranking her and she wasn't in on the joke. "It is nowhere near April Fools, Director" is what came in her head. She hated being made a fool of.
Meanwhile, Rocky and the rest of the pumas could feel her aura permeated through the room.
Suddenly, it disappeared.
"Agent Crawfish."
Rocky could feel himself breaking a sweat. Nothing more nerve-wrecking is a women's cold hard stare.
"Y-Y-Yes ma'am..?"
"Get ready for fieldwork."
