Chapter 2

Monday the Eleventh of Aethon 967.

There are 4 months in the Fauxion calendar; Aethon, Elyria, Vitalys and Crystalux, each of these months have 75 days, each month represents a season, that is universally agreed upon. There is the divide with what we call the days of the week , a small percentage of the world's population refer to the days of the week as .....

"Master Blau you are going to be late."

I had to drop the book I was reading after hearing what Lumine said.

"Don't worry the bus I'll be late so it doesn't matter. "

I was pretty confident that the bus would be late. I had been in that apartment for two weeks now and never has the bus once been early so now I don't have to worry about heading out early. I pick up the book and continue reading it.

"What page was I again."

"A hundred and five sir. "

"Okay."

With that I continue reading the book.

"Master Blau, I'm impressed by the fact that you are reading a book this early, I thought you preferred to read comics, manga and novels so I'm surprised you are reading a book about the days of the week and their origins."

"Well, my little robotic assistant, I am really I'm interested in this topic of days of the week. "

I lied. My class has a test on this book. We were given the book at the beginning of the semester and I'm just reading it for the first time.

Eventually it was 7:40 and I left the apartment to get to the bus stop. As a got there, I noticed that i was not the only person in the academy that was there, no repeat of Saturday fortunately.

I looked at the bus stop monitor and saw the bus for 7:40 had already left.

The academy see anytime after 8:00 am as tardy, the bus will take about 10 minutes to move from here to the academy. I have missed the bus for 7:40 so it seems that I'm going to be late.

I was the only one at the bus stop who seemed to know that the bus had already arrived and left. My best option now was to run from the bus stop to the school. The time was 7:45, if it took a bus moving at a speed of 60 kilometers an hour to get to school to get to the academy in 10 minutes it means the academy is 10 kilometers away from here, that is not as far as I thought, but the average human can move at 31 kilometers an hour but I'm not pure human so....

The author's narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.

As I was lost in thought the bus arrived, it seemed that the 7:40 bus that was said to have arrived was just an error in the system. I got onto the bus and looked around, the first noticeable thing was that little red and his entourage were not on the bus and the second thing is that I was being stared at.

After my seemingly psychotic episode in the bus a few days ago, it seemed everyone was eager to see me perform another act of madness today but unfortunately for them Lumine was set on her mute function in the bus so there was way I could say anything.

Everything that was just thought out was also said out loud. Fortunately for Blau the people on the bus actually believed everything he was doing now and on Saturday was an act. We will now leave Blau's point of view and move to another character's.

Little red *cough. I mean Rowan's POV.

I left home early today; I left home to practice for the archery duel, my original plan was to face the girl in doubles but she said that the one person she can rely will refuse to help her in the duel so we decided on competing in a normal archery competition. My friends told me not to worry about it. I put up the facade that I didn't worry about my record being beaten and I'm not going to let that happen again because I'm going to win.

My name is Rowan El Kairos. I'm fifteen years old and I live in modern day Caelum with my grandparents. I am currently the captain of Ostwood academy's archery club, I became captain after bringing home Gold in an Inter-school archery competition.

"You are one of a kind Rowan. I've never seen anyone as talented as you before, you are a dead fit for the captaincy."

I remember the day clearly.

There was no way anyone was going to take that away. I was praised, I was appreciated,I was loved but then someone took that away from me even if momentarily, I won't allow that to happen again because no matter what there was no stopping me from winning.

Beep-beep.

I checked my phone to see what it beeped for. It rang for an alarm of 8am. It is time for the morning assembly. I guess I'll skip the assembly for today.

I leave the phone and continue to practice. I managed to hit all targets today. The problem with practicing on your own was that if you have weak magic you can't really do much, but as the son of the Minister of Magic and great great great grandson of the former castle Caelum arch-mage my proficiency in magic is great.

After a bit of training Rowan eventually leaves the range for his class.

Blau's POV

A small percentage of the world (mainly elves) refer to the days as Seledor, Elyndor, Celethril, Althaeon, Namarie, Elenath and Calanthor. This method naming the days of the week is becoming less popular as the....

"If the tradition is dying what is the point of learning it in the first place." I said that in a muted tone that only Lumine could hear.

"I think that educating you on the fact that others use that as a form of communication is to ensure that in the situation that you encounter someone like that."

"I know a lot of elves and none of them refer to the days of the week as that."

Lumine responded but I could not hear her. I could not hear her because the class was noisy. Ostwood academy is a seen as a prestigious institution where only the greatest can come to study, it is the most known academy worldwide and influential people basically drop all their children in the academy to study various courses. Ostwood serves as an elementary school, middle school, high school and a college. Everything i am saying leads me to my current problem, why is it that in a prestigious best of the best school we have about seventy students in a single class.

The noise was terrible, it was something out of the ordinary that I could read the book while concentrating. I was ranting internally about a noise that seemed to just vanish

" Where did the noise go?"

I asked myself that question but there was only one answer; our teacher had arrived.
