22. Taking Quest

'Well, regardless, let's first go and buy a sword or blade,' I decided, placing my hand on my back and making my way towards the sect's shop.

"Wow, so handsome and elegant..." someone commented.

"..."

"For the fuck's sake... You're a boy, so show some dignity," his friend reminded him, taking a few steps away from him in a rather creepy manner.

"What the hell? I was just admiring... Are you out of your mind?"

"HAHAHA," laughter echoed through the group.

...,

Finally, I reached the destination as I followed the steps on the map that Elder Li had given me. The sight that greeted me was a magnificent pavilion with 5 floors. Its architectural design was truly captivating, leaving me in awe.

As I observed my surroundings, I noticed a constant stream of people entering and exiting the pavilion. Among them were outer disciples and inner disciples, but I had yet to come across any core disciples, except for Xiang.

Without wasting any time, I proceeded inside. The first floor was incredibly spacious, bustling with disciples. I soon encountered a female staff member.

"How may I assist you?" she asked with a smile. I couldn't tell if her smile was genuine or not, but it didn't really matter to me.

"I'm new to this sect, so it's my first time here. Could you kindly explain to me how I can purchase some weapons?" I inquired.

"Can you please show me your token?" she requested.

"Here it is," I replied, showing her my token.

"Ah, Outer Disciple Xinli, since you're currently an outer disciple, you can only access the first and second floors. On the first floor, you'll find a wide variety of items you're looking for. On the second floor, you can purchase skill books related to your interests.

However, please note that you can only obtain items ranging from white to blue grade. For higher-grade items, you'll need to be an inner disciple or hold a higher rank," she explained.

"Thank you for providing me with this information," I expressed my gratitude.

"Hehe, it's nothing... I'm glad I could help," she said with a smile.

"If you come across anything you'd like to purchase, simply take it to the counter over there. You can only use your contribution points, alright?" she reminded, gesturing towards the counter area.

"Alright... Thank you very much." After expressing my gratitude, I began to observe my surroundings.

There were numerous weapons, items, gear, accessories, and other things that caught my attention. However, due to their high prices, I didn't even consider looking at them.

Finally, something caught my eye...

[Blade Sword (White - Mid-tier): Crafted from fine metal by an ordinary blacksmith, nothing extraordinary.]

If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.

"This blade sword is perfect for me... even if it doesn't have the lethality and durability like a high-grade weapon, my aura-blade skill should make up for it... I hope," I muttered to myself.

The reason is that currently, I am out of the contribution point and low on money.

"…"

The price of the Blade Sword was 50, with an additional 25 for the sheath... gyat damn... Let's not even talk about the pricier weapons, some of which cost close to a thousand or more... They must have come from the tower or made by some finest blacksmith

I grabbed the weapon and its sheath, and made my way to the counter.

"Hello, how may I help you?" the staff said to me.

"I would like to take this blade sword," I showed.

"Okay, that will be 75 contribution points," the staff said.

As the transaction ended, I put the sheath on my back and then held the sword. I became curious and wondered why not just name this sword...

"Okay... your name will be KALU for now," I muttered, then I put the blade sword inside the sheath after naming it.

Then I left the Pavilion.

"What a weird boy," the staff thought

.…..,

I proceeded towards the quest hall of the outer disciple area. I was aware that there are separate quest halls for inner and outer disciples after hearing some gossip.

While making my way to the outer disciple quest area, my thoughts wandered to Xiang out of the blue.

Out of nowhere, I found myself missing Xiang.

"She is way stronger than me so she will be fine."

Why, but instead of reducing the feeling after parting ways, the feeling inside me only started to grow.

'Within her cold eyes, I can only feel deep sadness and loneliness. What a lovable girl,' I thought to myself....

Inside the tower, on level 12,

Xiang stood alone, looking down with cold, indifferent eyes. The ground was covered in blood, but it wasn't hers - it belonged to other living beings.

Her presence exuded a chilling aura, transforming her into a goddess of coldness. Her katana buzzed with excitement, as if it was eager for a fight.

Then she sheathed her katana, reducing her murderous aura, and started to walk slowly as if nothing had happened.

...

As I patted my heart to calm down… I started to walk toward the quest hall… nonchalantly

Again, I saw crowded people… but not that crowded compared to other places like arenas, pavilions

As I entered the hall… I saw lots of paper hanging on the wall… looking like a special investigation was going on… as I saw the paper of the quest I saw… there is a difficulty star '☆' sign on it… 1 to 5 star

As I went to the reception counter, I saw an elder sitting while reading the book…

"Excuse me, sir," I politely addressed the elder, "I am interested in undertaking a quest."

Without looking up from his book, the elder nonchalantly replied, "Go over there and see if any quest catches your interest. Just remember to avoid those with a rating of three stars or above. Given your current Qi gathering level of 8th realm, it could pose a danger to you.

Although seemingly disinterested in the surroundings, there was an undeniable aura of strength emanating from the elder.

"Thank you for your guidance, sir," I expressed my gratitude before making my way towards the indicated area.

As I glanced around, I noticed nearly fifty quests displayed on the wall. However, within the expansive hall, there could easily be five hundred to a thousand quests or even more.

I saw a guard coming with a new quest and then started to put it on the wall while the disciples were taking the quests simultaneously.

One must not forget that the Profound Enmity Sect is one of the most powerful sects within Starlight City. So, there will be lots of people who will issue lots of quests to our sect.

I began reading through the quests one by one, starting from the 1-star to 3-star quests. As for the 4 to 5-star quests, I need to be at least above the bone-forging realm, so I didn't bother to look at them.
